Chapter 930: Malefista And The Faes
Chapter 930: Malefista And The Faes
The glamour of a flaming dress donned the devil’s skin. Malefista, surrounded by the faithful and the heretics–working towards a common goal–was enjoying their company, but business came before pleasure. Especially since Will-O had forced her way into the meeting room alongside numerous others.
The fae had felt something off about the devil, a lingering scent of something familiar. Chasing it, she’d gathered her strength and accompanied the curious entourage to the meeting room despite countless protests by Liliyana to stay resting. But she wasn’t the only one who’d forced their way into the meeting room.
As soon as the news about a devil being on board had broken through the ships, the valkyrie, her aid, and even Evangeline made for the meeting room, expecting Raven to bring her there, since if her presence wasn’t a threat, they were bound to talk to her. The rest of Raven’s companions followed their example and greeted him as he came with the devil a while ago.
Still settling in, however, the fae couldn’t help but speak up about a matter most concerning to her.
"You smell of sulfur and–"
"Lavender? Mhnm?" Before Will-O could finish talking, Malefista cut her off with a smirk. "Rosemary, perhaps? Or..."
Shifting her attention to Raven, she added.
"The earthy scent of rain after a hot summer?" All of it held true, and Moeria’s discerning gaze and that of the fae who was overly familiar with such scents sharpened at the devil. Brushing past their curiosities, however, Malefista smiled at the hero and asked with one of her hands extended. "You have something for me?"
Reaching into his pocket, Raven took out the darkness cube within which Ouron’s soul was confined. Malefista didn’t have to say much for him to give it up, after all, the deal was already made with her master, and trying to squirrel out of it would only cause more problems than it was currently worth.
Feeling the weight of the dark cube on her palm, the devil’s lips stretched inhumanly wide. Staring at the confining box, she caressed its top with her fingers as if performing a sensual task.
"Ouron, oh Oruon...Maybe I can put you some sweet torment before my love consumes you," bringing her lips closer to the box, Malefista stretched her flaming tongue and began licking the upper rim of the box with abandon. "Ohhh~ How I wanna break a god~ Ahaha~! How I wanna see you pissing your pants as an imp and being fucked and burned by creatures made of rot and lava. Ohhhh!!"
Ripe in the middle of a deep, sensual gasp, Malefista snapped out of her stupor and looked around at her audience. Although not ashamed of her actions, the devil ceased her perverse joys.
"How fortuitous this deal has been," speaking as if she hadn’t just tried making out with a box, the devil stared at the hero’s battle-scarred face. "Would be a shame if our partnership ended here, wouldn’t you say?"
For a moment, silence held the group in a chokehold, only broken by the hero’s tapping finger against the oval desk. Staring right back at the devil, Raven considered what else he could gain from the devil of the first hell and her master, but before making a decision, his gaze turned to Erika instead.
"Asmodia, what do you think?" He asked, and the devil split herself from Erika in a second.
Hands folded and eyes upfront, glaring down at Malefista, the devil of seduction hummed to herself and grunted for a while. In response, Malefista stood from her chair, hand held out in greeting, and a smile on her face.
"Greetings to the third hell’s ruler," placing her other hand on her chest, she added. "I am Malefista–devil of deals, second only to Tariyaan–or so I would’ve been had you not taken his place."
"Keep your hands to yourself," eyeing her extended hand, Asmodia puffed her chest and looked up. "You want us to trust you? Why should we? All you’ve done is offer your aid for something in return; it was no gesture of goodwill. As far as devils are concerned, this was no more than just another business deal."
Waving her hand lazily at the devil’s face, Asmodia scoffed at her in a mocking tone.
"And here you are, acting like you’ve done us a favor. This was an equal deal–if that! Considering you’re walking away with the divine soul of a god."
Bobbing her head left and right with her eyes set to the ceiling above, Malefista accepted all accusations, and instead of lashing out or defending herself, she did what she does best. Make an offer for a deal.
"How about," finger upheld, her eyes wandered lazily through the room. "I teleport you to the kingdoms under attack? Also, the location of the fae mothers–"
Taking a brief pause before completing her sentence, she looked at Will-O.
"Tsk, I knew I smelled Mother Nature’s essence on you, devil."
Simply smiling back at the faerie, Malefista held her cards close.
"What about Nerva’s lair? Do you know where that is?!" Springing into action, Moeria broke her silence as well. Everyone instantly grew eager to know Malefista’s answer, but to their surprise, the devil shook her head in refusal for once.
"Below the hells, that is all I know. Same with the fae mothers, but for them, I know a more direct route. Nerva, on the other hand, is far too dangerous a woman for even me to try and get close to."
"And what do you want in return for this information?" Helga asked.
To everyone’s surprise, the devil answered with...
"Nothing, a gesture of goodwill if you will." Her gaze set on Asmodia, Malefista awaited an answer, and that too quickly. After all, the kingdoms were still under attack, and the decision had to be made as quickly as possible.
But to trust the words of a devil? Could Raven do it, or could he not? Either way, there was not much to consider, and the decision had to be made–one way or the other–right now.
