New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2157: Divine Skill: Unyielding Flame

After an Elemental Spirit killed an Elemental Beast, there would be two rewards.

The first was the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystal that the Summoning Master received, whereas the second reward was for the Elemental Spirit itself.

Except for the first kill, where Protos had received a new skill, the subsequent kills had rewarded him with increased skill proficiency.

However, this time, Protos had received an entirely different reward.

[The Elemental Spirit, Protos, has awakened a Divine Skill: Unyielding Flame.]

'T-this... a Divine Skill?'

Seeing the notification, Ajax was more shocked than ever.

A Divine Skill!

Even Ajax, with his current strength, had yet to awaken a Divine Skill, whereas Protos, an Elemental Spirit at the Soldier Realm, had awakened one!

'Is the reward because of his strict training? Or is it because of my title? Or is it simply Protos's luck? Or a combination of all three?'

Ajax couldn't pinpoint the exact reason behind this reward.

However, he didn't bother thinking too much about it. Instead, he celebrated Protos's achievement.

'System, show me the details of this Divine Skill.'

After suppressing his excitement, Ajax looked at Protos, who was still undergoing his breakthrough, and quickly checked the Divine Skill's information.

[Skill Name: Unyielding Flame (Divine)]

[Passive Effect: When the user's Essence of Nature falls below 50 percent, its recovery speed increases fivefold.]

[Divine Effect: When the user's Essence of Nature is completely depleted, the depleted Essence of Nature, mental fatigue, and all other injuries will be completely healed.]

[Cooldown: One day]

'These effects are damn heaven-defying!'

Reading the passive and Divine Effects, Ajax was once again shocked.

'As expected of a Divine Skill!'

The fivefold increase in recovery speed was already excellent. However, the Divine Effect was simply ridiculous.

Not only would it restore Protos's depleted Essence of Nature, but it would also eliminate his mental fatigue and heal all his injuries.

As long as Protos could trigger this effect at the right moment, he could recover from seemingly hopeless situations and continue fighting.

'Looks like I should change his training accordingly.'

With the awakening of this Divine Skill, Ajax immediately began planning Protos's future training sessions.

"Summoning Master, I've broken through to the Elite Elemental Soldier Realm!"

After a few moments, Protos opened his eyes and excitedly informed Ajax about his breakthrough.

[Congratulations, host! Your Elemental Spirit, Protos, has broken through to the Elite Elemental Soldier Realm.]

At the same time, the system notification resounded in Ajax's head.

"Congratulations, Protos."

Ajax congratulated him with a smile before asking, "Do you want to rest now?"

Despite already knowing what Protos's answer would be, Ajax still asked him with a slight smile.

"No!"

Protos shook his head energetically.

His previous exhaustion had completely disappeared after the breakthrough, and even his depleted Essence of Nature had been replenished.

Moreover, he wanted to test his battle prowess after breaking through.

"I want to hunt the Flaming Monkeys on my own!"

"You want to hunt the Flaming Monkeys on your own?"

Hearing Protos's words, Ajax was a little surprised.

However, when he checked Protos's information, he immediately understood why the Elemental Spirit Child was so confident.

[Elemental Spirit Name: Protos (Fire)]

[Cultivation: Level 1 Elite Elemental Spirit Soldier]

[Skills: Inferno Flame Arrow (Basic), Flame Explosion (Mastery)]

[Unique Skill: Flame Body (Max)]

[Note: Unique Skills have maximum proficiency from the beginning.]

[Divine Skill: Unyielding Flame]

[Elemental Ascendance: 100 Percent (Increases battle prowess by three times)]

'So, he awakened a Unique Skill as well.'

It was not a new concept for Ajax, as some of his Elemental Spirits possessed Unique Skills, which they had awakened after reaching the King Realm or higher.

However, he was a little surprised that Protos had awakened one at such a low cultivation level.

'Let's see what this Unique Skill does.'

Ajax immediately checked its details.

[Skill Name: Flame Body (Unique)]

[Effect: By consuming 90 percent of the user's Essence of Nature, the user can enter a state called Flame Body, which lasts for two minutes.]

[During these two minutes, the damage dealt by the user's fire skills increases by five times, while the damage received from five-element attacks decreases by 50 percent.]

[Cooldown: One day]

'Damn... is he the Heavenly Son of the Elemental Spirits?'

Seeing the effects of the Unique Skill, Ajax was once again shocked.

It was as impressive as the Divine Skill.

'Even though consuming 90 percent of his Essence of Nature is a huge cost, and it limits the number of skills he can use during the next two minutes, it is different for Protos, who has the Divine Skill [Unyielding Flame].'

The moment his Essence of Nature was completely depleted, it would be instantly restored to 100 percent, and his injuries and mental fatigue would be completely healed.

In other words, Protos could use [Flame Body] to greatly increase his destructive power and then rely on [Unyielding Flame] to recover when his Essence of Nature was exhausted.

'If he uses these skills properly, his battle prowess will be terrifying.'

Ajax couldn't help but smile.

"So, this [Flame Body] gives you the confidence to hunt the Flaming Monkeys on your own?"

"Yes, Summoning Master!"

Protos nodded confidently.

"Fine. Let's see what you can do."

Ajax didn't stop him. Instead, he quickly found a Flaming Monkey and brought it before Protos.

However, this time, he didn't knock it unconscious.

He wanted Protos to fight a fully conscious Elemental Beast.

"Go ahead."

"Yes, Summoning Master!"

Protos immediately charged into battle.

[Inferno Flame Arrow]!

'Swiish!'

A blazing arrow shot towards the Flaming Monkey's abdomen.

'Boom!'

The arrow exploded upon striking its crystalline body, forcing the Flaming Monkey to retreat a few steps.

Although the attack contained the threefold increase in battle prowess from the fully awakened [Elemental Ascendance], it didn't cause severe damage. However, it was enough to anger the Elemental Beast.

'Keech!'

The Flaming Monkey shrieked before turning its attention towards Protos.

Compared to Ajax, who was insanely powerful, the Elemental Spirit Child looked like an easy target that it could kill and consume.

'Roar!'

Without hesitation, the Flaming Monkey lunged towards Protos.
