New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2184: Fourth Round Begins (2)

'What?'

'We can receive rewards during the round?'

'I wonder what rewards we will get for reaching those milestones!'

'I wonder whether there are any Divine Pearls and Divine Elemental Potions?'

'I have three Elemental Spirits who have reached the Perfected Emperor Realm, but I have only one Divine Elemental Potion. If I can get two more, I can easily pass the fourth round.'

'I have two Perfected Elemental Spirits…..'

.

.

The participants were surprised by this new arrangement.

They had initially assumed that they would have to survive the entire thirty days before receiving their rewards.

However, the Ancient Voice had revealed that they could obtain rewards while the round was still underway.

Naturally, this made them excited.

After all, if the rewards were good enough, they could use them to strengthen their Elemental Spirits and improve their chances of surviving the remaining attacks.

'There's no need to worry about the rewards. I'm sure they will be generous, just like in the previous rounds.'

Some participants were already looking forward to reaching the first milestone.

Meanwhile, Ajax found the fourth round quite interesting.

'Interesting!'

He had a good idea of why the rewards would be distributed during the round.

'He wants to give the participants opportunities to strengthen their Elemental Spirits while they are fighting.'

'The more Elemental Spirits that evolve into Divine Elemental Spirits, the better it is for the Mastermind, who plans to take them all when the participants are eliminated.'

After all, the Elemental Beasts would attack in different phases, and the difficulty would likely increase with each phase.

If the participants could obtain rewards by killing the Elemental Beasts, they could use those rewards to become stronger before facing the next wave.

In this way, even participants who initially struggled might have a chance to keep up with the increasing difficulty.

'I'm sure those rewards will be related to Elemental Spirits.'

Ajax smiled faintly.

He was already looking forward to seeing what kinds of resources the Elemental Spirit Altars would provide and how they would help not just the participants but also the Mastermind.

However, just as he was thinking about it, the Ancient Voice announced something that immediately caught his attention.

[Other than the rewards from the Elemental Spirit Altar, the top ten participants, the top three participants, and those who pass the fourth round will receive special rewards!]

[There will be a hint for the fourth round!]

'A hint? Here it comes!'

Ajax's eyes lit up, not because of the additional rewards but because of the hint.

'He will probably say that Divine Elemental Spirits won't be sealed during this round, right?'

Since every participant had received a Divine Elemental Potion in the previous round, Ajax had already suspected that the Mastermind wanted them to use those potions.

However, there was still the issue of Divine Elemental Spirits becoming sealed after their evolution.

If the participants couldn't use their newly evolved Divine Elemental Spirits, they might hesitate to consume the potions even when facing dangerous situations.

So, it was not hard for Ajax to guess what the hint was about.

'Let's hear what he has to say.'

While Ajax was waiting for the hint, the participants were once again excited about the additional rewards they would get for passing the fourth round.

'I have to pass the fourth round at any cost.'

The rewards for the previous three rounds were already generous, and even without knowing the exact rewards for the fourth round, they became determined to complete it at any cost.

The Ancient Voice soon revealed the hint.

[The Universe can't see what's happening inside the Elemental Source Land. So, when an Elemental Spirit evolves into a Divine Elemental Spirit, it will not be sealed.]

[But that doesn't mean the Divine Elemental Spirits won't get sealed if they remain inside the Elemental Source Land.]

[The maximum time they can remain unsealed is one whole day!]

The reason Divine Elemental Spirits get sealed is that the Universe doesn't want such powerful beings to disturb the order of the universe with their existence.

If the Universe can't see the Divine Elemental Spirits, how can it seal them?

As for why they get sealed after 24 hours, no one except the Mastermind knows the exact reason.

'Only twenty-four hours?'

Ajax was slightly surprised.

He had expected the Ancient Voice to announce that Divine Elemental Spirits wouldn't be sealed throughout the fourth round.

Instead, the hint only guaranteed them one day before the sealing took effect.

'Still, that's not bad!'

Ajax quickly understood the significance of the hint.

Twenty-four hours would be more than enough for participants to use their newly evolved Divine Elemental Spirits during an emergency.

Moreover, if they timed their evolutions properly, they could use their Divine Elemental Spirits to help protect their altars during the most dangerous phases of the fourth round.

'I'm glad I was half right about the hint.'

Ajax nodded to himself.

He had correctly guessed that the Mastermind would address the issue of Divine Elemental Spirits being sealed, even though the actual benefit was more limited than he had anticipated.

'But why do I feel that the one who will be sealing the Divine Elemental Spirits after 24 hours is not the Universe but the Mastermind?'

Ajax shook his head, stopped overthinking it, and decided to focus on the round.

Meanwhile, the other participants reacted enthusiastically to the announcement.

'What? Divine Elemental Spirits won't be sealed for an entire day?'

'Great!'

'With a Divine Elemental Spirit, my chances of completing the fourth round will increase significantly!'

.

.

.

The participants were thrilled.

Although twenty-four hours wasn't a particularly long period, it was still enough to turn the tide of a battle.

Most importantly, they now had a reason to use their Divine Elemental Potions without worrying about immediately losing access to their newly evolved Divine Elemental Spirits.

'If things become too dangerous, I'll use my Divine Elemental Potion!'

Many participants silently made up their minds.

After all, they had no intention of being eliminated after making it through the first three rounds.

For them, passing the fourth round meant receiving even more rewards. As for their sealed Divine Elemental Spirits, they could obtain the methods to unseal them after leaving the Elemental Source Land.

Most of them were heirs of powerful factions and could easily obtain the methods to unseal their Divine Elemental Spirits.

As for Ajax, he simply smiled because he had already guessed that the additional rewards were bait intended to encourage the participants to use their Divine Elemental Potions to evolve their Elemental Spirits into Divine Elemental Spirits.

'Now, let's see what kind of Elemental Beasts this round will bring.'

With his current strength, he wasn't particularly worried about the so-called Elemental Beast Rampage. However, he was curious about the rewards hidden behind the Elemental Spirit Altar's milestones.

If the rewards were as generous as he expected, this round might provide him with another opportunity to widen his horizons.

Soon, the Ancient Voice resounded throughout the Elemental Source Land once again.

[The fourth round will begin in three minutes!]

[All participants, prepare yourselves!]

As soon as the announcement ended, the atmosphere across the Elemental Source Land changed.

The participants immediately began preparing their Elemental Spirits and checking their resources.

Some started discussing their defensive strategies, while others considered which Elemental Spirits they should keep by their sides to protect their altars.

Meanwhile, Ajax remained calm as he waited for the fourth round to begin.

'Thirty days of defending an altar... Let's see how much I can gain from this round.'

For the first time since entering the Elemental Source Land, Ajax felt that a round might offer more than just straightforward hunting and rewards.

And he was looking forward to it.
