Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 506: The Truth of Data Energy

Chapter 506: The Truth of Data Energy

"How does one enter the information layer? Please tell me, Senior Grey. I want to enter it. It has always been my lifelong wish."

"Well," Grey appeared thoughtful.

"It is possible. You just need to merge cosmic energy with psionic power."

"What?" Alan Benson was shocked by this.

"What do you mean, Senior Grey?"

"Observe." Grey’s psionic power erupted from his source and pooled into his left hand, while cosmic energy gathered in his right.

"These two energies are two completely different variables. What will happen if you combine them?"

"Nothing, because they are two different types of energy and will negate each other?" Alan Benson replied with a frown, trying to understand what Grey was talking about.

"Yes, that is what happens under normal circumstances," Grey smiled. "However, if your calculation and alignment of this power are correct, such as using a specific breathing technique, you can make it possible. Of course, if you somehow decide to not use a regulating method, you will blow up on the spot due to the sheer difference between psionic power and the natural energy of the universe."

"But of course, there are rare instances where you can directly combine them." Grey brought his hands together.

Bzzt!

The cosmic energy and psionic energy violently clashed before merging perfectly, and soon, an entirely new energy formed in the area.

"This is... DATA ENERGY?!" Alan Benson exclaimed in absolute disbelief.

Grey simply smiled.

Everything was a fragment of Nexus, including this so-called data energy. Grey was already fully aware of the composition of data energy; it was quite literally the perfect combination of psionic and cosmic energy.

"T-This... how can one achieve this?"

Alan Benson drew out his own psionic power and tried to combine it with the cosmic energy in the atmosphere, desperately refining it to match his psionic output.

However, even after his careful calculations, the result was a volatile explosion, and the energy rapidly dissipated.

Grey smiled. He knew the exact reason. He, Grey Lockhart, was the only being that could physically see the intricate patterns of energy and align them perfectly so they would flow smoothly without exploding.

If just anyone could do that, the Heavenly Dao would not try so hard to hide the Nexus energy. Also, his previous doubt about the Heavenly Dao actively splitting Nexus energy was wrong; that was far from the truth. However, the fact that it was the entity making it impossible for others to know or even see the pattern of these energies still remained true.

Maybe it wanted to secure the Nexus energy for itself? Was that why it was doing such a thing?

Only by confronting the Heavenly Dao would he know for sure.

Just then, with a heavy thud, Alan Benson dropped to his knees.

"Please, Senior Grey, take me as your disciple. I wish to learn more from you, and if possible, I also want to enter the information layer."

"Now this is troublesome," Grey sighed.

"Please, if you take me as a disciple, I will give you powerful treasures from the higher worlds."

"Oh?" Grey tilted his head. "How did you get your hands on those?"

"Well... I have my ways," Alan Benson said with some hesitation. "This is not the only world where my evolutionary path is distributed."

"What? Does that mean there are people following your path even in the higher worlds?" Grey was stunned.

How was that possible? It completely defied logic.

However, Alan Benson neither confirmed nor denied it.

"Please take me in," Alan Benson pleaded earnestly. "I wish to learn from a great being like you."

"Fine. Since you are asking this much, I have no choice but to grant your wish." Grey let out a hard sigh. "So, about those higher-world treasures."

"Yes, I will arrange them for you immediately. I will bring them directly to the Nexus Domain after this."

"Alright." Grey let out a light cough. He did not want this man mistaking him for someone who was only moved by material treasures, even though that was precisely the case right now.

"Either way, I was actually thinking of creating the 6th rank of my evolutionary path. Do you have any tips and tricks?"

"The 6th rank?" Alan Benson appeared thoughtful.

"There is, actually." Alan Benson nodded. "The 6th rank is where one truly transcends dimensionality for the first time, where their powers begin to affect reality on a fundamental level. The 5th rank, the anchoring phase, was precisely preparation for this process."

"It allows you to affect reality on a cosmic scale."

"But becoming a higher-dimensional being has its disadvantages as well."

"You become one, but you were not originally born a higher-dimensional existence. You need to adapt to your new powers; you need to optimize your very existence. That is what the 6th rank is: optimizing and enlarging your absolute control over reality."

"Hm." Grey nodded thoughtfully. That was an incredibly useful piece of information. He could definitely use it.

"Alright, thanks. I will go check out this path simulation now," Grey said as he stood up. "Find me at the Nexus Domain."

"Got it," Alan Benson said with a firm nod.

Soon, Grey left the private lounge and arrived back on the bustling virtual streets.

Now was the perfect time to create a research institute for his Aether Evolutionary Path. Here, other scholars following his path could gather, study, and conduct profound research alongside him.

He navigated through the virtual reality system interface and was soon able to find the specific section to establish a research center.

He immediately clicked on it.

As the esteemed author of a 5th rank path, he didn’t have to pay any cosmic credits to found it. But he certainly did not lack cosmic credits anyway, so either outcome was fine.

Soon, a grand establishment materialized on a plot of unclaimed land within the Creator Space. It functioned much like the surrounding institute shops; people could freely wander in, observe the research, or leave as they wished.

Before he went into the path simulation, he took the time to decorate the place. He manifested detailed figurines displaying genetic markings, erected several towering pillars explaining the intricacies of each evolutionary realm, and even added interactive fun facts about the Nexus Realm.

Once satisfied, he stepped into the core chamber to conduct his path simulation.
