Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 533: Overpowering Ascendancy Power?

Chapter 533: Overpowering Ascendancy Power?

Boom!

The time stop returned to its normal flow. Everyone’s eyes widened in shock and concern, and Alissa’s shout echoed through the air.

But Grey remained focused. He executed the exact process he had repeatedly simulated before. The Heavenly Dao supported him, pulling in metamorphosis energy from an unknown source.

In the outside world, a visible soundwave appeared like a ring around Grey. Frequency and soul crashed together, violently tearing reality apart. The Ascendancy projections that were rushing towards him froze and shattered as their power was dragged into the soundwave phenomenon.

Boom!

The space around them cracked as chaotic spatial currents flooded in. The Axiom power took the appearance of a majestic dragon as Grey’s form merged with it.

"You, what is that power?" Shroud Heaven’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief.

"You do not need to know," Grey’s voice glitched through the void.

As he spoke, it was as if the fabric of reality itself was breaking apart.

"This..." Alan and the Spirit Ancestor exchanged looks of disbelief. "He overpowered the Ascendancy power?"

Up until now, Ascendancy power was considered one of the strongest forces in the endless reality. Yet, it was effortlessly stopped by this strange new power.

Grey’s power swarmed forward, taking the form of glitchy, luminous cubes that broke down reality as they made their way toward the Paragon.

The following moment, the cubes made out of Axiom power completely corrupted Shroud Heaven. His body began to rapidly rewind and fast-forward like a broken glitch in reality before the cubes swallowed him whole.

Shroud Heaven’s final sight was Grey transforming back into his human form and casually flipping him the middle finger right before his vision vanished into nothingness.

The last bit of Ascendancy power the Paragon possessed was absorbed directly into Grey’s source, and Grey swiftly released his hold on the Axiom power. He realized that even with the heaven’s support, this energy was still too much for a fifth ranker like him to sustain.

’Fragment, use the rest of your powers to help me form the remaining frequential helixes.’

He had to seize this chance. With the heavenly power surging through him, he could completely ignore the time gate required for each breakthrough.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

One by one, his Nexus cells lit up with glowing frequential helixes, forming twenty-five on each cell until the final one lit up as well.

But he had one more push left in him. He forced all of his accumulated frequential energy into his very first Nexus cell and permeated the rest into the cosmic meridian that contained it. He applied immense pressure from both sides until the cosmic meridian and the Nexus cell forcibly merged together.

Boom!

The structure collapsed inward as his first true singularity formed. His presence heightened massively, sending physical shockwaves across the magical world.

"This aura... he is radiating a seventh rank aura." The Spirit Ancestor and Alan both wore stunned expressions.

Alan was conducting an even deeper analysis. ’Seventh rank, second level.’

That was the exact tier of power Grey was radiating right now. A fifth ranker who was not even at the peak of his stage was emitting an aura capable of contending against a true seventh ranker.

Feeling this level of power, Alan realized that becoming Grey’s disciple was definitely the right decision.

’Should I convert to his evolutionary path?’ Alan felt genuinely tempted. He had initially become his disciple just to gain access to the information layer, but he knew Grey could casually breach it using the Mecha race’s analytical abilities anyway. For the first time, he truly believed his choice was correct.

Alissa looked at Grey silently, her gaze dropping to the thin, glowing barrier protecting her. It was Grey’s energy. Even while fighting a terrifying opponent, he did not forget to shield her.

She felt a strange emotion realizing this fact.

"Is this raw power a direct result of the Heavenly Dao’s influence, Saint Grey?" the Spirit Ancestor asked in uncertainty.

"Of course," Grey replied with a small smile. "There is no way for a mere fifth ranker to naturally radiate a seventh rank aura, is there?"

"That is true," the Spirit Ancestor agreed, heaving a long sigh of relief. "Still, to think you were able to eliminate a Paragon clone on your own. I am pleasantly surprised, and it seems I severely underestimated you."

"As the person who brought you into this domain, I would like to apologize for this dangerous mishap," the Spirit Ancestor said in an apologetic tone. "I will inform Helios and secure a proper compensation for you."

"Do not tell them about my existence just yet," Grey requested after some consideration. "Keep my identity hidden from them until I reach the eighth rank."

"Sure," the Spirit Ancestor nodded. "If that is what you want. You saved me and everyone else here. Keeping a secret is the least I can do."

Grey nodded in satisfaction. "For now, we need to locate Lin Fang. He must be hiding somewhere nearby."

"Let us split up. Alissa and I will go together since she cannot manage the world’s pressure on her own. The rest of you, take different directions."

Everyone readily agreed and swiftly went their separate ways.

"So, do you want me to carry you and fly around, or do you just want to hold hands?" Grey turned to Alissa and asked with a teasing smile.

"Carry me," Alissa replied with a light glare. "Why even ask? Wouldn’t you flying around be more efficient?"

"Then, come here." Grey spread his arms wide open. "I will dutifully protect my wife."

"Who wants your protection?" Alissa huffed, stepping forward with a slightly flustered expression.

Grey immediately scooped her up into his arms. He held onto her securely as they took to the sky and began their search.

As they flew, the cloudy world revealed its hidden beauty. They passed over floating islands composed of amethyst rocks, where glowing waterfalls fell softly into a sea of mist. Alissa made him stop near a grove of crystal trees whose leaves chimed like tiny glass bells in the wind. She wanted to take pictures of the flowers blooming along the fluffy cloud banks.

"I need to show these to Miwa," Alissa said softly, capturing the serene, pastel colored scenery with her device.

Once she finished taking photos of a spiraling tower made of green vines, they moved on to search another sector.

Soon, Alan relayed a telepathic message over to Grey. He had finally found Lin Fang.
