Chapter 597: Finding a Frozen Planet, Similar Power
Chapter 597: Finding a Frozen Planet, Similar Power
The Reality Ship hung motionless in space as hundreds of warships surrounded them, their weapons glowing with charged energy. Before Alan could even react, Grey calmly stood up from his seat.
"Stay here."
Alissa frowned, concern crossing her face. "Grey..."
Grey simply smiled at him. "I’ll handle it."
Without waiting for a response, he walked toward the exit and left the Reality Ship alone. The moment he stepped into the void, thousands of weapon systems locked onto his position. Red targeting beams illuminated his body from every direction.
The atmosphere became extremely tense.
The flagship immediately opened a communication channel, a cold voice echoing through space. "Unknown traveler, identify yourself."
Grey calmly folded his arms behind his back. "I’m only passing through, I have no intention of becoming your enemy."
The fleet commander narrowed his eyes from inside the flagship. "Then state your purpose."
Grey looked past the warships toward the distant frozen planets. "I’m simply exploring, move your fleet and don’t disturb me."
Several officers on the bridge became furious hearing this.
"How arrogant!" one of them shouted. "Commander, permit us to eliminate him!"
The commander raised a hand, stopping them from acting rashly. He studied Grey carefully through the viewing screen, his instincts screaming danger for reasons he could not explain. After several long moments of silence, he finally spoke.
"Very well, we will not interfere."
Grey nodded once. "Wise decision."
Without another word, he turned around and calmly returned to the Reality Ship.
The moment Grey entered the bridge, Alan immediately walked over to him. "What happened?"
Grey didn’t answer immediately, instead he raised one hand and Nexus Energy quietly spread throughout the room. Runes formed across the walls in glowing patterns, creating a transparent barrier that completely sealed the bridge.
The atmosphere became isolated from the outside world.
Alan and Alissa exchanged confused glances.
"Grey?" Alissa asked hesitantly.
Grey finally spoke, his expression unusually serious. "Now we can talk."
His tone made both of them straighten their postures instinctively.
Grey continued. "Everything I’m about to tell you must never be spoken about outside this barrier."
Alan’s smile disappeared completely. "What do you mean?"
Grey looked at both of them. "The timeline has already been reset."
Alan blinked several times. "Reset?"
Grey nodded slowly. "Twice."
Silence filled the bridge.
Alan immediately laughed nervously, hoping this was some kind of joke. "You’re joking, right?"
Grey slowly shook his head, his expression remaining completely serious.
Alissa quietly asked, her voice trembling slightly. "How is that possible?"
Grey began explaining carefully. "The first reset happened after we met their king, I asked a specific question about their evolution system and everyone froze. Reality collapsed around us, then everything rewound back to the moment we first entered this universe."
"The second reset happened when I tried to escape," Grey continued. "I attempted to break through reality itself using World Breaking Source Power, but the reset still activated. I retained my memories only because of the Crown of Finality and Fateless One Physique, everything else returned to the beginning."
Alan slowly sat down, his mind struggling to process this information. "So everything we’ve experienced already happened?"
"Yes," Grey confirmed.
Alissa’s face turned strange. "That’s impossible, how could we not remember?"
"Because the reset overwrites everything," Grey explained. "Only I remained unaffected."
The room became silent again as they absorbed this terrifying revelation.
Grey looked at everyone seriously, his next words carrying heavy weight. "One more thing."
The Nexus Energy around them glowed brighter, pulsing with increased intensity.
"Do not speak, do not even think about this outside this barrier."
Alan frowned. "Why?"
Grey’s expression darkened. "Because something is observing us."
Everyone stiffened hearing this.
Grey continued. "My Nexus Energy is shielding all of you, as long as you’re inside it that thing cannot perceive your thoughts."
The room became silent.
After several long moments, Alan finally asked the most important question. "Then what do we do now?"
Grey looked out the window toward the distant cube-shaped galaxies. "We keep searching, instead of going to the Alogians we will search ourselves."
The Reality Ship continued travelling deeper into the strange universe, passing countless glitching sections of space. Eventually they discovered a completely frozen planet radiating pure Chaos Energy, its entire surface buried beneath ancient ice. Massive cities remained frozen in time, their structures perfectly preserved.
Grey decided to investigate personally.
The Reality Ship descended through the frozen atmosphere and landed near one of the cities. Grey, Alan, and Alissa left the ship together, their feet crunching against the thick ice. The temperature was incredibly cold, but none of them were affected by it.
Shortly after landing, they encountered several frightened Alogians hiding behind a collapsed building. Unlike the soldiers from before, these appeared to be ordinary civilians. Their clothing was simple, their weapons crude.
One immediately dropped to his knees. "Please, don’t kill us!"
Grey calmly raised one hand. "Relax, we’re not here to fight."
The Alogian slowly calmed down, though fear still filled his eyes.
Grey quietly observed him, noticing something strange immediately. Chaos Energy naturally circulated through every cell of the Alogian’s body, flowing smoothly without any evolution technique. Unlike normal evolvers, this energy seemed to have existed from birth.
Grey became interested.
"What is this power?" He pointed toward the Alogian. "The energy inside your body."
The Alogian looked confused. "Energy?"
Grey nodded patiently.
The Alogian scratched his head. "I don’t know, we’re all born with it."
Grey asked another question. "How do you become stronger?"
The Alogian smiled innocently. "Destroy things."
Everyone froze hearing this answer.
The Alogian continued. "The more dangerous the place, the more destruction we survive, the stronger our Chaos becomes."
Grey’s eyes narrowed, this method was completely different from anything he knew.
Grey asked calmly. "Can you take us to your leader?"
The Alogian nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, His Majesty will know more than I do. We are not "
They travelled across the frozen world for several hours, eventually an enormous castle carved entirely from ancient blue ice appeared in the distance.
It dwarfed the surrounding mountains, Chaos Energy constantly pouring from its crystalline walls. Grey immediately noticed something unusual about the structure, the energy patterns were incredibly dense.
They entered the throne room together.
An elderly king quietly sat upon an icy throne at the far end, his weathered hands resting on the armrests. The moment Grey saw him, his pupils contracted sharply. Something was very wrong here.
Grey carefully analyzed the king step by step.
First, he noticed the king’s body was incredibly weak, it was completely mortal without any physical cultivation. The old man looked like he could barely stand, his breathing shallow and labored.
Then Grey noticed the Chaos Energy.
It felt unbelievably familiar, the pressure rivaled a Dao Generation Realm cultivator. The power was approximately Ninth Rank, possibly even higher. Yet the king’s mortal body remained unchanged, not enhanced by even a single strand of energy.
Grey became internally shocked.
How was this possible?
His body was mortal, completely ordinary in every way. Then that meant the power wasn’t coming from body cultivation, it couldn’t be. The king possessed no foundation, no meridians, no enhanced flesh.
Grey continued observing.
Then it hit him.
That wasn’t body evolution at all.
It was State Power.
