Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 627: Celestial Cauldron Pavilion

Chapter 627: Celestial Cauldron Pavilion

The clone didn’t feel different, it carried the same calm demeanor and familiar presence that Grey had grown accustomed to. But there were noticeable changes beneath the surface.

His power had increased significantly.

Grey could sense it clearly now, Alan’s clone was slightly more powerful than him at this moment.

The sixth level of the 12th rank radiated from his existence with not an ounce of instability.

"If you have such a strong clone here then you must have an even more stronger clone in the Higher Realm, don’t you?" Grey remarked.

Alan smiled faintly at his observation.

"I do have several clones in the Higher Realm." Alan smiled. "But considering my main consciousness is here, I don’t have access to them at the moment."

"Well it doesn’t matter. Your current strength is enough." Grey said with a smile.

Honestly, this development was for the better.

The main universe, now officially the Unnamed Universe, didn’t have enough manpower at the higher levels. The strongest cultivators there sat at the peak of the 8th rank, barely scratching the surface of true power.

Then there was Eterna and the Origin Will, but those two could only handle minimal tasks within their domains. They weren’t combat forces that could defend against external threats.

Having Alan’s upgraded clone around provided much-needed security.

"Let’s continue looking around." Grey said, turning back to Alissa. "There’s still more to see here."

Alan nodded and fell into step beside them.

They walked through the glowing pathways of the Central Hub, passing countless establishments and beings from different universes. The diversity here was staggering, every corner revealed something new.

Eventually, they arrived at a massive building that stood apart from the rest.

The structure resembled a grand temple mixed with a modern pharmaceutical facility. Towering pillars of crystalline material supported a domed roof that glowed with soft golden light. Strange symbols covered every surface, each one radiating faint medicinal energy.

But what caught Grey’s attention was the crowd.

Hundreds of beings lined up outside the building, forming queues that stretched far down the pathway. Some looked anxious and some other looked impatient.

This was usually a scene you would find at a hospital.

A massive sign hung above the entrance.

Celestial Cauldron Pavilion

"This place is extremely crowded." Alissa spoke in slight surprise.

Grey nodded slowly as he assessed the situation.

"Everyone from the Central Hub comes here for medicine." Alan explained. "This is the premier establishment for higher dimensional beings seeking alchemical products."

That made sense.

The medicines these people were here to get were not ordinary pills or elixirs. At this level of existence, normal medicine had no effect whatsoever.

What they needed were substances with supernatural presence, pills that could affect energy beings, alter dimensional structures, and influence the very fabric of reality itself.

Grey felt a spark of interest seeing this.

He had some knowledge about alchemy, but it was extremely shallow. Back in Blue Star and Arclight Divine Planet, he had attempted pill refinement many times with varying degrees of success.

The Peerless Primordial Alchemy Art he possessed was a supreme technique, but he had never had the chance to fully explore its potential.

If he could gain proper knowledge here, in a place dedicated to higher-dimensional alchemy, then he might be able to directly advance his profession to the 10th star or higher.

"Let’s go in." Grey said.

They approached the entrance, bypassing the long queue of waiting customers. The moment Grey stepped toward the door, a figure moved to block his path.

A stern-looking man in dark robes stood before him, his eyes scanning Grey with obvious skepticism.

"Are you an alchemist at the 10th star or above?" The man asked coldly. "If not, leave. This entrance is for professionals only."

Grey met his gaze with a faint smile.

"I’m here to take an alchemy test." He said.

The man’s expression shifted to one of mild surprise, then settled into condescension.

"If you want to take a test, you’ll have to apply for it online." He said dismissively. "Fill out the proper forms, submit your credentials, and wait for approval like everyone else."

Grey was taken aback hearing this.

Apply online?

What was this, some kind of written exam?

He stood there feeling somewhat speechless. The Central Hub operated more like a modern bureaucracy than a evolutionary hub sometimes.

Just then, an elderly voice cut through the conversation.

"Send him in. I’ll supervise him first."

Grey turned to see an old man approaching from inside the pavilion. His white beard reached his chest, and his eyes carried the depth of countless years. The aura he radiated was full of vitality and refined, clearly that of a master alchemist.

The man who had stopped Grey went pale with shock.

"Elder Zhen!" He stammered. "You want to personally supervise this..."

"Did I stutter?" Elder Zhen asked with a raised eyebrow.

The gatekeeper immediately stepped aside, bowing deeply as he made way for Grey’s group.

Grey looked at the old man with curiosity.

"Thank you, Elder." He said politely.

Elder Zhen nodded and gestured for them to follow.

But before they took more than a few steps, Grey stopped.

"Wait." He said. "Before we start, I want to look through the archives of alchemy. You have those here, right?"

Elder Zhen raised an eyebrow at his request.

"Of course we do." He replied. "But why would you want to look at the archives before taking a test?"

Grey smiled faintly.

"Knowledge is the foundation of all things. I want to understand what I’m working with before I demonstrate my abilities."

Elder Zhen studied him for a long moment.

Something about this young man intrigued him. He had witnessed the small banter with the Eternal Dominion earlier today, and word had already spread throughout the Central Hub about the confrontation.

A newcomer from a newly ascended universe, backed by a 12th rank expert, who showed no fear when facing one of the major factions.

Elder Zhen wanted to test this young man’s aptitude for alchemy. If his talent matched his boldness, then the Celestial Cauldron Pavilion might gain something valuable.
