Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 659: White Devil King

Chapter 659: White Devil King

The tall White Devil blocked their path with an imposing stance, his massive figure standing directly in front of the palace entrance.

"Princess Seraphina, who are these outsiders?" he demanded.

Seraphina stepped forward calmly, seemingly unbothered by the commander’s suspicious gaze.

"They are my guests, Commander Vaelon. They saved my life and the lives of my companions from the Yellow Devils."

Commander Vaelon’s silver eyes narrowed as he studied Grey and Eterna carefully.

"Humans? In the Ancient Hell?"

"Yes, and they are here to meet my father. Step aside."

The commander hesitated for a moment before reluctantly moving to the side.

Seraphina then led them through the massive doors and into the palace interior.

The inside was even more impressive than the outside. White marble floors stretched in every direction, while crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling and cast a soft glow throughout the grand hall.

Grey silently observed the magnificent surroundings as they continued walking through the palace.

They passed through several long corridors before finally arriving at the throne room.

A massive White Devil sat upon an ornate throne at the far end of the chamber.

His hair was pure white and flowed down to his shoulders, while his eyes glowed with an intense silver light. His presence alone made the air feel heavier, as though an invisible pressure filled the entire throne room.

This was the King of the White Devils.

Several advisors and guards stood around him, all of them immediately turning their attention toward the newcomers.

Seraphina approached the throne and bowed respectfully.

"Father, I have returned safely. These two humans saved me from the Yellow Devils during our patrol."

The King’s gaze immediately shifted toward Grey and Eterna.

Seraphina then began recounting everything that had happened, explaining how Grey had single-handedly defeated the Yellow Devil attackers.

The King listened without interrupting her.

When Seraphina finally finished, he leaned slightly forward on his throne.

"Oh? To think you were only at the 9th or 10th Rank, yet you still managed to defeat beings at the 12th Rank."

Grey immediately felt the King’s perception sweep across his body, effortlessly reading his evolutionary level. But it was clear that he couldn’t gauge it properly as he said 9th or 10th rank.

"Impressive," the King continued. "But my son can do the same. He’s a true White Devil, after all."

"Dad!" Seraphina protested immediately. "Don’t make fun of our guests!"

The King coughed awkwardly after hearing his daughter’s complaint.

"Where are my manners? I hope you don’t find it rude, but we devils are naturally much stronger than normal humans."

Grey smiled casually at his words.

"No offense taken."

Sure, devils might be able to do that.

But what about when I awaken my own Nexus World?

Grey merely smiled at the thought.

He knew that things would change once that happened.

At the same time, he was also curious about the White Devils’ Evolutionary Path.

He knew their path had something to do with the Angel Path, but since they were still devils, there should be significant differences between them.

The King raised an eyebrow at Grey’s confident response but said nothing more about the matter.

"Tell me," the King said as he changed the subject. "How did you both end up here in the Ancient Hell?"

Grey had already prepared an explanation for this question.

"We encountered a Lesser Heaven that was devouring a world," he said. "We collided with it during the chaos and were absorbed into a wormhole. When we emerged, we found ourselves here."

Hearing this, the King’s expression immediately shifted to one of understanding.

"It must be the World Breaking Source Power," he said quietly.

Abruptly, gasps echoed throughout the throne room.

The advisors and guards exchanged shocked glances as they stared at Grey and Eterna.

"World Breaking Source Power," one of the advisors whispered. "That is what we need to leave this place."

Grey carefully observed their reactions.

So far, they hadn’t found a trace of that power anywhere in Hell.

Perhaps there was a good reason for that.

If devils were unleashed into the endless reality, only the gods would know what kind of chaos would follow.

"Can you tell me the exact location where you both arrived?" the King asked.

"They appeared very close to where we were fighting the Yellow Devils," Seraphina answered before Grey could speak.

The King nodded slowly after hearing his daughter’s words.

"I see."

He remained silent for a moment, seemingly thinking about something.

"For now, you both can settle here as our guests. I don’t know of a way to return to the endless reality or the Higher Realm."

The King stroked his chin thoughtfully before continuing.

"But occasionally, travelers and other beings from the Higher Realm do pass through here. I will make sure that you both can leave safely when such an opportunity arises."

He then looked directly at Grey and Eterna.

"Of course, I cannot say how long that will take."

Grey raised an eyebrow in surprise after hearing this.

This King was surprisingly benevolent despite being an arrogant prick, wasn’t he?

"I have a question," Grey said.

"Speak."

"Are you White Devils thinking of going back to being angels?"

The King nodded firmly after hearing the question.

"That’s right. We White Devils are differentiated from the Yellow Devils because we chose to leave our madness and sins behind."

His expression gradually became solemn.

"We wish to become pure once again, readying ourselves for spiritual transformation."

His voice carried a powerful conviction as he continued speaking.

"Once the gods achieve nirvanic rebirth, they will grant us salvation. It has been prophesied that the God Empress will descend here and bring us all away."

The King slowly closed his eyes.

"But we do not know when that day will come."

Grey knew exactly who they were talking about.

Lia.

However, he didn’t say anything about it.

Just then, the King turned toward his daughter.

"Seraphina, show our guests to a comfortable room where they can rest."

"Yes, Father."

Immediately after leaving the throne room, Seraphina led Grey and Eterna through several long corridors of the palace.

"I apologize for my father’s earlier comments," she said as they walked. "He can be quite proud sometimes."

"It’s fine." Grey shrugged. "I’ve dealt with worse."

They soon arrived at a spacious guest room filled with elegant furnishings.

Seraphina looked between Grey and Eterna with a smile.

"I’ve prepared this room for you and your girlfriend," she said cheerfully. "I hope it’s to your liking."
