Chapter 6336 Wild Outsider Devil

Chapter 6336 Wild Outsider Devil

“Lord Long Chen couldn’t have perished with Long Wu, right?” Xue Tu muttered, his voice trembling.

He could no longer sense Long Chen’s aura, and dread gnawed at his heart.

“Shut up!” Di Mengyao shouted. “Lord Long Chen is definitely fine. Just how precious is his life? Have you seen a dragon give up its life to kill an ant?”

Though she sounded fierce, she felt a boulder pressing on her heart. Why would Long Chen and Long Wu’s auras vanish at the same time?

As they neared the battlefield, the world itself seemed to tremble. The air burned with the remnants of clashing powers, and astral winds screamed through the void, slicing space apart like countless invisible blades.

Once they got close to the battlefield, they felt like they were on the edge of a raging volcano. The energy remaining in the air was continuously breaking the void, and astral winds cut through the air like blades.

Yet still, no trace of Long Chen’s aura could be found. Everyone’s expressions grew grim.

“Little Sister Qingyun, your perception is the sharpest out of all of us. Can you sense Lord Long Chen’s aura?” Di Mengyao asked as she turned to Mu Qingyun.

Until now, Mu Qingyun had remained hidden among the dragon experts. By Long Chen’s order, she had been their final trump card, protecting from the shadows and never exposing herself unless absolutely necessary. Other than silently assassinating a few vile dragon experts when her allies were in mortal peril, she had not revealed her strength.

Now that the battle was over, there was no more need for concealment. Her face was pale, her brows furrowed. With her sharp senses, she should have been able to locate Long Chen.

But there was nothing. No aura, no direction, only emptiness.

If he had simply left, she would have been able to trace his path. But this... this felt as if Long Chen had vanished from existence.

BOOM!

Just then, the void exploded and a black dot expanded outward, growing into a spatial gate. Everyone cried out—they could sense Long Chen’s aura and Long Wu’s from it!

In the next instant, Long Chen shot out like a bolt of lightning.

“Qingyun, get ready!” Long Chen’s voice rang directly in Mu Qingyun’s mind.

The black gate trembled, starting to collapse. But before it did, a massive tentacle stretched out of it, blotting out the heavens.

“Long Chen, get the hell back here and die!” Long Wu roared.

They saw him standing atop the colossal tentacle. His entire body was drenched in blood, half of it missing, yet his eyes blazed with madness.

The tentacle’s tip split open into a maw lined with countless sharp fangs. Their chilling glint made Xue Tu and the others shudder.

In an instant, the space around Long Chen twisted. This mouth was like a black hole devouring everything within heaven and earth.

Long Chen’s speed dramatically dropped—he was being pulled in.

“Attack together!” Xue Tu roared.

Even without knowing what that abomination was, he could see Long Chen’s plight. However, before he could attack, he saw Mu Qingyun had appeared above the tentacle.

Holding a sword seal, she summoned thirty-six flying swords that streaked toward Long Wu.

Fixated on Long Chen, Long Wu suddenly froze as the terrifying Sword Qi locked onto him. Even in his top condition, he would have been wary of such an attack. But now, in his broken state, he had no chance of resisting.

Light appeared beneath his feet, and he strangely merged into the tentacle.

Heaven-rending swords howled down. Thirty-six blades tore into the massive tentacle, severing flesh and bone, nearly cutting it into pieces.

A furious roar erupted from beyond the gate. The tentacle writhed violently, retreating in haste.

Then, its gaping maw snapped shut, and the devouring force vanished.

Seeing this, Long Chen sighed in relief.

“Brother San, I was useless...” Mu Qingyun said as she arrived next to Long Chen, her face pale because of shame.

She was supposed to be their trump card. She had saved up her power the entire time, but when the time came, she couldn’t even sever one tentacle.

“Foolish girl,” Long Chen chuckled. “That lifeform is terrifying beyond measure. Even I can’t kill it. If you hadn’t saved your strength, today would’ve ended far worse for us.”

“Long Chen!”

Long Wu’s figure reappeared atop the mangled tentacle, right before the collapsing gate. With a face twisted in rage and a venomous voice, he shouted, “Count yourself lucky! Next time, I want to see who can save you!”

“Next time? Yeah, next time, I’ll kill you along with that monster,” retorted Long Chen disdainfully.

“Just wait!” Long Wu roared, his madness echoing across the heavens. “You, the dragon race, everyone from the world of nine heavens—you will all die!”

The black gate closed, swallowing Long Wu and the monstrous tentacle. But his roar continued to echo through the air.

The moment they were gone, everyone hastily came up to Long Chen. Di Mengyao was alarmed at his pallor and turbulent aura

“Lord Long Chen, are you alright?” asked Di Mengyao.

This battle had been really dangerous. Even someone as powerful as Long Chen had been pushed to the brink.

Fortunately, Mu Qingyun’s intervention had turned the tide. Her swords had wounded the creature and forced Long Wu to retreat. Otherwise, they would be in trouble.

Who would have thought that the already powerful Long Wu could summon an even more terrifying monster?

“I’m fine,” Long Chen assured them. “Long Wu isn’t as great as he thinks. It’s his contracted beast that’s troublesome. That thing carries spatial energy—I was dragged into its spatial world just now. Escaping it wasn’t easy.”

“What was that monster?” Xue Tu asked, his face pale. “How could it be so terrifying?”

“It’s a wild outsider devil, a creature from beyond our world,” Long Chen said grimly. “I don’t know much about it either.”

The name was something Zhi Zhi had told him. When he was fighting in its territory, its power was extraordinary. It was a good thing Long Chen had immediately torn his way out of the spatial space with Zhi Zhi’s help.

But Long Chen suddenly smiled. With a wave of his hand, a golden shield appeared before them.

“Here.”

Everyone froze. Their jaws fell open in disbelief.
