Chapter 6765 Rainbow Cloud Leopard
Chapter 6765 Rainbow Cloud Leopard
“Damn, I was conned!”
Long Chen muttered under his breath. Only now did he realize that the woman had concealed a clone in the darkness.
While her true body launched relentless attacks, the clone waited patiently for the moment to strike him from behind.
“Alright, fine!”
Long Chen nodded. Her tactics were refined and ruthless. The tempo of her offense had left him with no room to respond.
In truth, Long Chen had been too careless. He had only entered that space because he wanted to test out his new Three Pillar Shield, but he hadn’t even had a chance to use it.
The woman's origins were unquestionably extraordinary. She was terrifyingly strong. Back in the Devil Slaying Battlefield, it had been more luck than skill that allowed him to capture her.
Long Chen recalled the Seven Treasure Colored Glass Tree, and everyone exited the Seven Treasure Space.
“Senior Long Chen...” Youlan and the others complained, looking pissed.
Long Chen said, “Every single one of you has experienced dozens of deaths now. Your perception and reactions have all improved. Sadly, we don’t have much time. Meditate on what you gained from this experience. Go into seclusion and make sure that you’re in top condition when you come out, because we’re about to be thrown into a new battle.”
Hearing that, everyone nodded. They immediately sat down and entered a meditative state.
Seeing that they could enter a meditative state instantaneously in such an environment, Jin Ming and Li Wangshu exchanged gratified looks.
That alone proved how far the disciples' mental states had advanced in such a short time. Once they reached the Tiger Venerate line’s territory, their overall strength would rise by an entire level.
Long Chen also sat down.
When his Starry Sky Battle Robe appeared, a three-meter divine ring appeared on the back of his head.
Within his dantian, the starry sea trembled. Astral energy from heaven and earth slowly poured into it.
When the outside world’s starry energy entered his starry sea, the golden lotus sprout quivered ever so slightly. Its rate of growth seemed to increase—almost imperceptibly.
This rate of growth was almost impossible to sense. It was shockingly slow. With this kind of speed, it would not bloom even in a hundred thousand years.
However, Long Chen did not let that bother him. He believed in the golden lotus. He simply hadn’t found the trick to make it grow yet.
This time, he was not drawing astral energy to force its growth. Instead, he focused on sensing the connection between the lotus sprout and the astral energy of the outside world.
He had to grasp what exactly existed between the two of them. But doing so was definitely as difficult as ascending the heavens. The sooner he got started, the better.
Ever since cultivating the Nine Star Hegemon Body Art, he had relied heavily on medicinal pills. Now, that support was gone. Though he had gained freedom, he was also forced to walk an entirely new path—one that belonged solely to him.
The golden lotus sprout seemed to sense Long Chen’s emotions and waved to him slightly as if trying to console him.
Long Chen recalled Aunt Gong’s words when she had given him the golden lotus seed. She had said it would show him the way when he was lost.
“Are you telling me that the path will reveal itself when the opportunity is right?” asked Long Chen with a smile.
The lotus sprout swayed again. Ripples spread across the starry sea, as if it were answering him.
Long Chen smiled in return. The golden lotus clearly had its own way of growing. All he needed was patience.
“In that case, I’ll test out some of my divine abilities!”
Although the golden lotus sprout’s assistance had boosted his control to an unprecedented level, using its power was incredibly draining as well.
At the initial Sovereign Lord realm, his core energy was limited. Techniques like the Starry River Demon Suppressing Bell and Star Meteor consumed vast amounts of power—far more than he could sustain.
These techniques had to remain life-saving trump cards, not random things that he could toss out whenever.
What Long Chen needed were methods that could achieve the greatest effect with the smallest possible expenditure of energy.
...
A few days passed.
All of a sudden, rainbow light shrouded the heavens, and powerful Blood Qi fluctuations filled the air, like a mighty current raging through the sky.
Long Chen slowly opened his eyes, surprised.
This rainbow light was hiding countless experts—at least hundreds of acquired Divine Sovereigns.
“Senior Long Chen, don’t worry. They are the Rainbow Cloud Leopard race, our allies. They’re definitely here to support the Tiger Venerate line,” Li Wangshu explained with a smile.
“Is that Brother Wangshu?”
A surprised voice rang out from within the rainbow clouds, tinged with disbelief.
“Brother Yuantu, it’s you!” Li Wangshu responded excitedly.
The rainbow clouds quivered. A white-haired elder appeared atop a battleship and strode forward, grasping Li Wangshu’s hand tightly.
“I really didn’t expect us brothers to be able to meet again!” he exclaimed.
From their excitement, it was clear that the two of them had a deep relationship.
“That’s true,” Li Wangshu said with a sigh. “In the last battle, we barely escaped alive. My Yuan Spirit was critically injured, and I nearly died several times while repairing it. And yet, here we are again. The heavens haven’t abandoned us!”
“Hey, who starts a conversation with such a depressing topic? Brother Wangshu, let’s turn this battle upside down! We’ll show these youngsters that we old-timers aren’t useless yet, haha!”
Li Wangshu seemed to be affected by this elder’s enthusiasm. He suddenly seemed much younger.
“Oh?” The elder looked surprised. “Is this Jin Ming of the Golden Horn race? I thought the Fullmoon race, the Golden Horn, and the Rock Crystal...”
He trailed off, clearly news of their inner strife had reached him.
However, it was not right for outsiders to interfere in their matters. So, though concerned, he had refrained from asking.
Seeing Jin Ming here still came as a surprise. Then, the elder saw Long Chen.
“A human?”
“Brother Yuantu, it’s a long story. You know Brother Jin Ming, but let me introduce you to my junior brother—Long Chen!”
“Long Chen?”
The elder frowned, the name stirring something in his memory. His eyes widened suddenly.
He cried out, “You are the High Firmament Academy’s youngest dean in history?”
