Chapter 6771 Long Chen Acknowledges a Master?
The flying shuttle tore through space.
As they were about to reach the Tiger Venerate line’s ancestral land, everyone on board was tense and holding their weapons. The ultimate battle was about to begin.
Long Chen stood at the front. Behind him were Yuantu, Li Wangshu, and Jin Ming. Even these three seniors felt a suffocating pressure bearing down on them.
The only thing steadying their hearts was the person standing in front of them.
Suddenly, a blood-colored screen rose in front of them. It was like a wall of blood blocking their way.
“They’re raising a barrier to block us! We have to hurry up!” shouted Li Wangshu.
They instantly had a bad feeling. For the enemy to expend such effort meant only one thing. They were determined to pay any price to annihilate the Tiger Venerate line and anyone who would help them.
Devil qi erupted from ahead. Countless devil experts charged toward the flying shuttle.
“Damn it, those are devils from the nine heavens! They’ve really switched sides!” cursed Jin Ming.
“It doesn’t matter who they are,” Long Chen said calmly. “Devil race, demon race, human race... If they block our path, they are our enemies. And there is only one thing to do with enemies.”
“Kill!”
Evilmoon suddenly appeared on Long Chen’s back. A ferocious evil aura radiated out of it.
When Long Chen’s aura merged with Evilmoon’s, the air around him changed. Sharp killing intent radiated out of him, along with a bloodthirsty, domineering aura. He seemed like an awakened devil god.
“Maintain our current speed. Leave the rest to me!” Long Chen shouted.
Long Chen shot forward, charging toward the barrier and the devil horde.
Forming a seal with one hand, he wrapped Evilmoon in violet qi.
“What are you doing? I don’t need your power...” said Evilmoon.
“I’ve realized that you cannot reach your full second form because you are missing something. Don’t use your power this time. I will use my own blood soul energy to control you,” Long Chen replied.
Evilmoon transformed into countless petals. Each blood-colored petal now bore a faint violet rune at its core.
The petals expanded to palm size. They were as thin as cicada’s wings, but incredibly sharp and indestructible. The devil race’s experts were instantly cut to bits.
Even acquired Divine Sovereigns were helpless. They did not even have a chance to flee before being cut down.
“What are you doing? My aura will infect your pure bloodline, and even your soul!” exclaimed Evilmoon.
Evilmoon sensed the change. As the petals absorbed blood-soul energy, scarlet spots appeared within the violet runes.
Those spots looked alarming, and yet Long Chen let their energy invade his bloodline.
“That is the only way to match you!” Long Chen exclaimed.
Evilmoon was silent, knowing that Long Chen was doing this for it.
“You knew the reason all along,” Long Chen continued, shaking his head. “You just refused to say it, letting me figure it out myself. When that white-robed fellow appeared, even if I wasn’t there, I could guess that his power resonated with yours better. You proposed saber and man becoming one because that’s the way to master your second form. But the condition for doing so is to have your aura mixed with my soul and blood.”
“Are you not afraid of me taking control of you and attacking whoever I want?” questioned Evilmoon.
“What’s there to fear?” Long Chen replied. “You’re not insane. Anyone you want to kill is someone I want dead too. We’ll kill them together, starting with these devils.”
“Hahaha!”
Evilmoon laughed with relief and excitement.
The petals suddenly spun faster and faster, slicing through the void.
“Since you’ve already made your decision, then hurry. I want to master my second form as soon as possible!”
In truth, Evilmoon had understood the problem long ago. It simply didn’t know how to explain it.
Back then, to acknowledge Long Chen as its master, Evilmoon had nearly turned on him. But this second form required the opposite: Long Chen had to acknowledge Evilmoon as his master.
With Evilmoon’s understanding of Long Chen, that should have been impossible.
That was why Evilmoon had stayed silent. Even when Long Chen asked, it pretended not to know what the problem was. In truth, it was afraid of putting Long Chen in a difficult spot and feared even more that the truth would create distance between them.
After thinking of all the possible outcomes, Evilmoon didn’t expect Long Chen to make such a sacrifice without hesitation.
Now, Evilmoon took the initiative. Its core energy surged forth, seizing command of Long Chen’s violet blood runes. Its violent, destructive mark branded deep within them.
Once, Evilmoon had entrusted its life to Long Chen.
Now, Long Chen entrusted his to Evilmoon.
This feeling of mutual trust could not be expressed with words.
With Evilmoon’s power coursing through him, Long Chen saw the world through its vision.
The world he saw was drained of color—only black and white remained. The blood pouring from the devils’ bodies should have been red. But to Long Chen, it was black.
“So this is your world...” Long Chen muttered, shaken. “Only right and wrong. No middle ground.”
It was his first time seeing Evilmoon’s inner heart.
The blood-colored petals expanded into a domain of death. Wherever they passed, life ended. Heavenly Dao laws were forced back, and vegetation withered instantly.
At this sight, everyone on the flying shuttle was horrified. Long Chen’s attack was like a current of blood devouring all life.
The devil race was annihilated.
Even though their numbers seemed limitless, they still couldn’t stop this all-consuming devil’s maw.
Long Chen quickly reached the barrier.
At this moment, a terrifying divine pressure shook the flying shuttle. Even its barrier was on the verge of bursting apart.
“This barrier is this strong?!” Yuantu exclaimed, his expression darkening.
While the flying shuttle lacked offensive abilities, its defensive prowess was definitely top tier. Yet, merely approaching this blood-colored screen nearly shattered its barrier.
Long Chen raised his hand.
As a cross appeared on his palm, Evilmoon’s arrogant voice rang out.
“There’s no need for you to waste your energy. I’ll do it!”
The petals converged together into a massive blade that swept through the world.
BOOM!
The world seemed to fall apart as Evilmoon sliced open that massive barrier.
