Chapter 3067: The Somewhat Complete Asag

The Asag resumed its true form which is a form that only those with divinity should have been able to gaze upon. The only problem is that Tala was still fine even if she was staring directly at it. Adrian noticed this immediately upon seeing her not having her eyes burn. There is something wrong with the current form that the Asag has.

As the Asag seems to complete the transformation, the entire area suddenly got filled with immense pressure. This was a pressure emitted by a greater god level being as it actually made Adrian’s knees buckle. He suddenly felt that they might not be able to deal with the Asag now that it is regaining its true form.

"WHERE IS IT?! WHY IS IT LACKING!?" The Asag shouted as it should have grown larger than ever.

The Asag only doubled its size and not into a towering mountain which is its original size. The currently Asag has the soul of a greater god but the strength of a lesser god that has just awakened. This is not something that should have happened based on its analysis. It was already missing some of its body parts from the decimation of the second floor but its energy reserves from the fourth floor is also depleted.

The monsters that should have been able to preserve its energy which are called the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm are no longer in the fourth floor. Even the ones that should have been sleeping and conserving most of its energy is gone. The Asag can only deduce that these beings before it actually destroyed all the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm in the fourth floor.

"No matter! I shall just devour all of you and regain my peak form!" The Asag shouted as its new information has been updated.

It has been imprisoned by the Sky God Anu and the Earth Goddess Ki due to its nature of wanton destruction. The Asag can create an army of rock demonic beasts that have the power of a mountain.

As soon as the Asag completed its transformation, it released a powerful roar that shook everyone’s body because it carried divine might. The Asag is still a divine being that is a child of the gods after all and the two gods that gave life to it are High Gods at the very least. The power exuded by a Greater God is different from that of a lesser god but the Asag is currently in a weakened state.

The Asag might feel like a Greater God but its current abilities are restricted to that of a lesser god. Despite the weakened state, the Asag can still use the laws to restrict them at will and it could now control it much better than before. All of them suddenly found themselves trapped in soil with just their heads being able uncovered as the Asag laughed.

"PERISH AS YOU WITNESS THE TRUE MIGHT OF GODS!" The Asag shouted as it created numerous rock spikes that floated in the air.

"Is this it?" Apolaki stated weakly as he is still in a weakened state.

"We did our best though." Maya stated.

"I barely did anything." Tala pouted as she was only able to fight against the first phase of the boss and not the second phase.

"Be in high spirits, my lady. There are surely better days." Bunn Bunn stated with optimism but even it has already accepted its fate as well.

Adrian was about to speak when all of them felt time suddenly stop. They all looked at Adrian but he told them that this was not his doing at all. He is still bound by the laws that the Asag can control and cannot cast any spells. Only when they realized that the platform beneath their feet glowed in an iridescent brown and green light did they know that it was the one stopping time.

[The Terra Elementum has heard your cries.]

[The Terra Elementum has given you a choice that results in an ultimatum.]

[The Terra Elementum can use the energy on the buffs it has given you to give restrictions to the Asag.]

[You can sacrifice the Hidden in the Dark Buff to release one member of your party from the effects of the Laws handled by the Asag.]

[You can also sacrifice the Clear Mind buff to release another member of your party from the effects of the Laws handled by the Asag.]

[Sacrificing the Cold and Thick Skinned Buff shall reduce the defenses of the Asag to the level of a lesser god.]

[Sacrificing the Strike with Patience Buff shall nullify the stat changes of the Asag upon reaching its final form.]

[Sealing One Party Member shall enable one party member to use most of their skills.]

[Sealing a second party member shall enable another party member to use most of their skills.]

The Terra Elementum is giving them a way out of their predicament but it also comes with a cost. All of the buffs that they have enjoyed will become nothing anymore. They can also choose to seal some of their team members in exchange for them to be able to use their skills without being affected by the Asag. This is a chance that cannot be given every time as the enemy in front of them is a greater god level threat.

"We have to take the gamble. Both Equinox and Tala should be the ones selected. Maya and I are already weakened and cannot help you at this moment. It is better that we are sealed." Apolaki stated.

"I agree with his sentiment. We are just going to be a burden as we are now in our current state." Maya added.

"Sacrifice all of the buffs as well. The best chance for the two of us to kill a greater god is when it is in a severely sealed state. If it reverts back to a state similar to its second form earlier then the both of us can deal with it even without the buffs." Adrian stated confidently as he believed that all of his soulbounds would be enough to deal with the weakened Asag.

[You wish to sacrifice all of the buffs to release Equinox and Tala from the effects of the Laws? Do you agree?]

"Yes." All of them answered.

[You wish to seal Apolaki and Maya so that Equinox and Tala will have most of their skills unsealed? Do you confirm?]

"Yes." All of them answered.

[As you wish. All of the seals placed upon the two shall now be vanquished. Apolaki and Maya shall be sealed for this phase of the battle.]

[The dungeon buff Hidden in the Dark is no longer active.]

As soon as they heard the verbal confirmation of the Terra Elementum, the world finally moved as time is no longer frozen. The Asag is about to launch the rock spikes it conjured towards all of them but the soil that locked Adrian and Tala suddenly crumbled. Apolaki and Maya got absorbed by the stone platform and sent to another dimension to be held.

As soon as Apolaki and Maya vanished from the battlefield, the entire platform spun as chains made of pure earth hit the Asag. The Asag tried to dodge but it could not shake off the chains as if it was being attracted to its body. When one of the chains finally bound the neck of the Asag, a powerful surge of energy hit it which actually did what the Terra Elementum promised to do.

[The Asag’s defenses have been broken.]

[The chances of landing a critical hit on the Asag has increased by 15%. Critical Damage dealt on the Asag shall be increased by 20%.]

[All of the stat changes that the Asag received upon gaining its final form have been nullified.]

The Asag that was conceited suddenly found itself in a compromising turn of events. Its own defenses have become a joke and its confidence in its strength suddenly plummeted.
