Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights

Chapter 518: Congregation Of Godkings & Godqueens

Chapter 518: Congregation Of Godkings & Godqueens

"I did not expect this much." Kabsal grinned. The True Orc stood twelve feet tall, his skin bronze and sun-kissed, his enormous frame covered in muscles. He stood at the center of the vast stone platform.

Stone thrones lined the edge of the circular platform, packed tightly together. They rose level after level into the sky, seemingly without end.

Godkings and Godqueens. Sun Elves, whose skin was almost the same bronze as his own but possessed greater luster. World Elves of countless kinds had also gathered: Wood Elves, High Elves, Frost Elves, and the others whose names he couldn’t care less to remember.

His eyes moved to the races of mankind: The stark white skin of the Fairmen and the red-stained skin of the Shifters. They were men. Not like the one he was about to face.

The one he would face was weak. Their world was like a child fresh from its mother’s womb. He would feel no thrill in this fight. It would be a slaughter, yet thousands of GodKings and Godqueens came to watch.

A lazy bunch. All Rulers and Keepers. Not a single Wanderer among them. It was rare to spot their kind. When they came, however, they would surely fight.

Kabsal refused to acknowledge the blue-skinned trolls, the undead, and the demons. Demons. His eyes narrowed as he gauged those blasted silhouettes sitting on thrones above the clouds.

Kabsal stretched his arms wide. His massive bronze body rippled with muscle, countless red scars crisscrossing his skin.

"Where is your mockery, World Elves? I see the contempt in your eyes." He threw a gibe, grinning wide.

"Tell me, Sun Elves. I heard your world jumpers encountered the World Ender himself. Did they survive their attempts to reason with him?" He said, facing the Sun Elves. Their golden hair, gleaming like gold metal, had always piqued his desire to rip it off and make a garment out of it.

Unfortunately, invading their world was madness. Their defensive technology was renowned across all ascended worlds. But here, he could challenge and kill their GodKings.

Unfortunately, there was no solid ground to issue a duel. They were all here to gauge him. They were afraid. News of his horde, the Red Scars, sharpening the edge of their weapons had spread.

Kabsal clicked his tongue and crossed his massive arms. ’Five hundred thousand steel weapons in exchange for one life. This new world might be the most interesting yet.’

Kabsal was almost drunk on his imagination. Once his horde had better weaponry and armour, they would conquer his world first. He would crush those troll settlements, shatter the infuriating army of the undead, and flay all who had been corrupted by demonic forces.

"Do not keep me waiting." He snarled, staring into empty space.

A portal opened up.

"Finally!" Kabsal said aloud.

A silhouette stood behind the gate. Its size was a let down. Kabsal refused to make assumptions, but a part of him was already disappointed.

A pitch-black being stepped through. He was nothing more than the unknown given form. This... this man wore no armour, yet he was blacker than the coals of the Inferno World.

Not like the demons. There was no vile aura coming off him. This was different. Kabsal frowned, pondering what exactly he was looking at.

Pitch-blackness with vague facial and muscular contours. Bright golden eyes. And... nothing more. By the Ancients, what was he looking at?

The man wore nothing more than black trousers and a simple black shirt, yet every eye in the colosseum was drawn to him.

The Unknown King lifted up his head. He was in a colossal stone colosseum, its tiers of seats rising into the clouds above. The platform stretched endlessly around him. A bronze-skinned orc covered in red scars stood a few dozen feet away.

His eyes drifted to the Council Heads. Two of them sat beside Sun Elf GodKings.

"That is Godfrey?" Mr. London said. The Unknown King saw the shock in his eyes. The man looked shaken to his very bones.

Mrs. Manhattan quickly composed herself, though not well enough to deceive the Unknown King. He saw straight through her. They didn’t know what to make of him.

They couldn’t understand.

"I am Kabsal of the Red Scars. Chieftain of the Red Reapers, dominator of a dozen worlds. Name yourself."

The Unknown King nodded. Kabsal must be thinking he would name himself. What was there to name? "Combat without weapons or skill. Here I am. Without my armour. Without my sword. Do not waste my time."

Mrs. Manhattan cocked an eyebrow. ’We should have seen it earlier. That is not Godfrey Daniels. But he answers to his name, has his voice. What happened to the real Godfrey Daniels, and where did this thing come from?!’

Kabsal’s laughter ran until it died down.

"You might be strange, I’ll admit. I’ve seen stranger things. But you act like a god; that is good."

The Unknown King cocked his head. "A God? A God? I disagree."

Kabsal flexed his muscles. "I don’t like the way you act."

A sudden wall of wind swept from the northern edge of the platform. The moment it struck them, the colosseum vanished.

The Unknown King stood in a vast wheat field. Waist-high stalks stretched endlessly around him, rustling in the warm, dry air. He smelled sun-baked earth and the faint sweetness of grain. Far on the distant horizon, a line of trees stood against the open sky.

"You act like you’re somehow superior to me." Kabsal stepped close enough to block the sun. "What gives you such confidence? What makes you think you won’t lose this fight?"

"When you see a ten-year-old child, arrogant, proud, perhaps exceptional among those his age, standing before an adult, who wins?"

Kabsal’s fist crashed into the Unknown King’s face, ripping open a fissure and burying him hundreds of feet deep. The wheat around them was flattened by the impact of the blow.

The earth trembled. The fissure widened, and a dark figure pulled himself from its depths.

He landed on the other side. "You punch well. I expected it to hurt more."

"You taunt me." Kabsal leaped high, forming a fist as he blocked the sun above the Unknown King. "I will make you regret that."
