Pampered By My Three Brothers: The Return Of The Neglected Heiress

Chapter 1862: Extra: II

Chapter 1862: Extra: II

[Extra 2: Nina’s and Finn’s Wedding]

"To celebrate Max’s last idiotic brain, it’s time to party!!" Penny announced, holding a bottle of wine.

Everyone turned to him, and all of their expressions paled. They watched Penny bring the bottle straight to her mouth, and time seemed to slow down for a moment.

"Noooo...!" they all yelled in slow motion, reaching out to stop Penny from drinking.

They, meaning all of them, including Angel and Mark, who were also at the other table. But they were all too late. Penny chugged the wine and hissed in satisfaction.

"Hah!" she smacked her lips, beaming. "That’s all for Max’s last functioning brain cell funeral!"

Everyone: "..."

"Max, Ginnie, since I feel like you guys are gonna get married next, I just want to say—" Penny stopped and blinked, narrowing her eyes as everyone seemed to double. "You guys... stop moving..."

Penny felt her world spinning with every passing second. Before she knew it, she was knocked out of consciousness. Fortunately, before her forehead hit the table, Zoren caught her.

He slowly lowered her head until it was resting on the table.

Everyone just stared at her, aware of Penny’s antics when drunk. While staring at her with horror, they started counting in their heads.

"One... two... four... seven... ten..."

But by the time they reached twenty, Penny hadn’t moved.

"Huh?" Slater furrowed his brows. "She’s not waking up?"

"Or is she just pretending?" Angel blurted out.

They let another minute pass before Zoren finally touched her shoulder. "Penny?"

He gently pushed her shoulder, making her turn her head to the side for everyone to see. Much to their surprise, Penny had passed out with a smile on her face.

For the first time, Penny drank wine and didn’t wake up as someone different.

The drunk Penny was gone; she had finally found her peace.

[Extra 3: Cassandra]

"By the order of this court, the case against Cassandra Smith versus the State..." the judge spoke, and everyone held their breath, listening to every word. "... this case is dismissed."

The moment those words escaped the judge’s mouth, Cassandra jumped from her seat and turned to Grace. Her eyes gleamed with tears and relief, and before she could say anything, she hugged Grace.

"Thank you," she expressed. "Thank you so much!"

Grace smiled, patting her back. When Cassandra let go of her, she turned to the people in the back. There, Kiara was standing in the first row with tears.

"Cassy!"

"Ki!" Cassandra quickly jumped near the fence, hugging Kiara tightly over it.

The judge was still speaking about how he came to this decision, but that didn’t matter anymore. Cassandra’s case was dismissed due to the development of the case, which implicated Senator Smith and a few other politicians and businesses.

And while they were celebrating, Penny stood in the corner of the court. The corners of her mouth curled up as she shifted her eyes to Kiara and Cassandra, hugging and crying with each other. Her gaze then moved to where Grace was, only to catch Grace already looking in her direction.

Penny nodded at her before peeling herself off the wall and leaving the courtroom. She came to hear the verdict, and hearing that Cassandra won the case felt... strange.

Cassandra was the happiest about this dismissal, but Penny was the most relieved.

Stepping out of the courthouse, Penny stopped on the steps and looked up at the sky.

"Heh," she grinned, doing the very thing she couldn’t do in her first life—walk away from the same courthouse that read her death sentence verdict.

[Extra 4: Kiara and Hugo]

"Miss Kiara!"

Kiara paused from stocking some boxes when one of her workers shouted. Turning her head, her brows rose, catching sight of the worker standing near the entrance of the warehouse. Next to him was...

"Your boyfriend’s here!"

Kiara, somehow, didn’t catch that and smiled when she saw Hugo finally out of the hospital. She put down the box and jogged to the entrance, but saw Hugo take huge steps in her direction.

"You’re fine now?" she asked, gazing down at his leg before meeting his eyes.

"Do you think I’d be out here if I’m not?" he returned in a knowing tone. "You knew how they would even lock the windows and doors just to keep me in the hospital."

She chuckled. "It’s for you."

After all, Hugo was hard to keep in one place. Just because Hugo felt better, he wanted to leave. However, everyone in his family had joined forces to keep him in the hospital until he recovered fully. Mint even took office in his ward just to make sure of that too.

A minute passed without them saying anything until Kiara raised her brows.

"Anyway, why are you here?" she asked. "You should rest some more at home."

Hugo’s face soured. "I’ve been resting for the past month."

"And resting more isn’t going to hurt."

"Forget about that," he said, crooking his fingers. "Let’s go."

"Huh?" Confusion quickly shone in her eyes. "Go where?"

"I’m hungry."

Hearing that, she frowned. "No, I’m not treating you anywhere."

"I didn’t say you need to treat me." He beamed. "I just got a bonus, and Mint gave me her bonus as well."

"She gave you what?"

"She felt like she should repay me for almost losing my leg for her. I got the injury because of her, so when she got her bonus, she sent it over to me." He shrugged, talking about their bonuses like candies to be given away.

"Anyway, let’s go. I’m hungry," he repeated.

"Oh." Kiara opened and closed her mouth, but then, she smiled and nodded. "Your treat—right?"

"Yep!"

With that, the two of them walked away, with Kiara barely telling everyone she would grab some lunch. But as they headed to Hugo’s bike, he stopped.

"Right!" he muttered, making her pause and look at him.

"What is it?" she asked, watching him search the pockets of his jacket. When Hugo pulled out his hand, he was holding a flower that he had just plucked on his way here.

He handed it to her with a smile. "For you."
