Chapter 1905: Chapter 1897: Saving A Prisoner; Consuming the Potion

"So this is an Existential Thread of Quintessential Self?" Wei Wuyin stood upon a fully plocked garden made of various flora, all glowing with unique astral light. They weren't like standard flora, but were formed from countless Stellar Rain energies that coalesced into their current forms, each petal and leaf glowing with a distinct cyan hue.

"Indeed. According to theory, according to Suo Haoran, only Supreme Existences or True Sages can extract a True Soul, and even then, only a sliver, typically a thousandth, but there are legends that speak of a Grand Chief of a thread that grew longer and longer as one lived. It represented not just age but lived experience."

"This is the Quintessential Self of an Existential Thread, which is the very beginning of the Existential Thread, a fundamental self. All beings had one. The destruction of one meant the destruction of the being itself, the complete annihilation of its existence."

Severing a piece wouldn't affect a cultivator too much, but it could affect future cultivation efforts unless one had the means to supplement it. However, if too much was removed or severed, the being would be impacted permanently. Its cultivation, lifespan, future growth potential, and even natural spirituality would be affected. This was the curse of a cultivator. Wei Wuyin was intuitively reverting degradation while carefully maintaining the thread's structure.

"The Existential Thread's Quintessential Self... It's all about the 'self'?" Wei Wuyin mused out loud.

Wei Wuyin calmly executed the spell given to him by Suo Haoran. The thread within his palm wiggled as if a living entity, yet it lacked any intelligence. He extracted the thread and carefully applied the spell's energies, allowing the thread to gently envelop his spirit, not his Sea of Consciousness.

The spell was both simple yet incredibly profound. It was over in an instant after each segment was handled. Each segment he handled would be enveloped by a surge of spiritual light before returning to Wei Wuyin and his Astral Souls' consciousness. They sensed the humanoid figure with extraordinary clarity, feeling a complete sense of connection with it.

"This is..." Wei Wuyin's eyes widened. "A full connection? It's not the partial connection I was expecting. It's not just a trace, but an entire link! A backsplash supported by the Heavenly Realms. This was very similar to the connection formed between a Mortal and their Elemental Heart. The difference was that this Elemental Heart was not a standalone entity, but a full part of another entity. He felt it was as if he had grasped a part of his own body!

That was insanity!

He had to wonder, that doing so wasn't an automatic killing of the target, not directly controlling their life or death, but acting as if they were the Heavenly Dao's. In regards to a Heavenly Oath. At any time, he could cancel his oath to the Heavenly Daos, not by force or power, but simply by the action of doing so. This was not the same connection.

"If so, then acting as he accepted these circumstances, it was unrealistic to be able to kill someone with a single thought. There has to be a deeper meaning than what he's been told. What's more, the way he was extracting them, still, a body wouldn't likely cause untold numbers of problems to their future cultivation and health. This wasn't something that would cause a major issue.

That said, it wasn't an absolute certainty in terms of obedience either. The only saving grace for those affected by such an oath was that they wouldn't die directly due to the oath, unless it involved a deadly outcome to their being. This would only mean that the oath was a binding contract, not a declaration of fate.

The other segments of the thread seemed to be connected, but they weren't shrinking, just placed in an astral light formation that was steadily growing smaller. Wei Wuyin frowned as he saw his Astral Souls' souls suppressing them, not the spell.

"No wonder he didn't feel anything. But he didn't have such internal clarity, and his Astral Souls didn't have such powerful spiritual senses. They were at the Soul Of Limitless state, not the Soul Of Limitless state. What's more, if he had such deep spiritual insight, this wouldn't be an issue. But for everyone else? With his Astral Souls' souls being suppressed, he would only have an extremely limited time to use this power.

"I wonder if that existence is aware of these?" Wei Wuyin thought. Realizing this existence was rather suspicious, Wei Wuyin thought about how he had done this, and this existence was a very clever existence. Perhaps he only wanted to use it to keep him from interfering. Or perhaps he simply did not care for him. Or perhaps he just wanted to mess with him, the former was more likely than the latter.

Wei Wuyin ignored the grass growing and his entire six senses. The Page of Heaven was indescribably organ-like, especially when the light was arriving from a lengthy series of sensory darkness. He knew, Wei Wuyin knew the Page of Heaven. The Page of Heaven. It was like something that was beyond his senses, yet he could feel and interact with it with his spiritual sense. The Page of Heaven.

Instead, he patiently observed the fragmented Secret Realm in its entirety. He had entered the garden to extract the final piece of the Secret Realm's Quintessential Self, something he wasn't able to achieve with his spiritual senses alone. He felt like a fool.

Using his Temporal Eye and Major Time Law, he wanted to determine its age since creation. When he finally got a clear reading, Wei Wuyin's mind trembled! The Secret Realm was older than the universe! And its power, its energies, and its profoundness, the Secret Realm was too ancient to have possibly come from a Mortal. It was as if he had been looking at a primordial being. Wei Wuyin wondered the gradual effort that went into worming out the power to build this amidst the binding array.

"What is this Secret Realm?!" He blurted.

"You love playing around with forces far beyond your comprehension," The Heavenly War Spirit remarked from within him.

Wei Wuyin's expression tightened. "I love playing around with forces far beyond my comprehension? I'm beyond his comprehension? Huh? Heaven? River of Time? Unrealized Divinities?" ṟÃƝÒВƐṦ

Wei Wuyin's mind twitched. He felt like he had just discovered something important with his thoughts. It was beyond his comprehension. He tapped his glabella, where he had a gently throbbing purple hue. He tapped his glabella, and the purple hue that had been there for a while, slowly faded into his eyes, then into his mind. He tapped his glabella again, and the purple hue reappeared. He tapped his glabella a third time, and the purple hue began to fade from his eyes and mind. He tapped his glabella, and the purple hue began to fade into his eyes and mind, before completely disappearing.

The light that had erupted from his glabella slowly faded. From his glabella, a greyish drop of blood was slowly extracted from his mouth. He looked at the drop of blood carefully and then into the text. He looked at the drop of blood carefully and then at the text, and then at the drop of blood carefully and then into the text.

This was a pure drop of his blood essence, intertwined with traces of his paragenic energy sources that he had extracted from the previous era. He wasn't surprised that this existed. When his Prime Devil Heart had matured into its current state, it had gained a subtle connection to this blood, and it was the same for his other blood. He felt that the Prime Devil Heart didn't originate from the Mortal Dao, Mystic Dao, or the Great Altar of Eternity. It didn't have an origin in the Mortal Dao, the Mystic Dao, or the Great Altar of Eternity. It didn't have an origin in the Mortal Dao, the Mystic Dao, or the Great Altar of Eternity. It didn't have an origin in the Mortal Dao, the Mystic Dao, or the Great Altar of Eternity.

The Supreme Existence struggled to lift this, seeing the greyish drop of blood appeared somewhat heavy, but he still succeeded. He extracted the drop of blood and slowly sent it to his mouth.

He instructed, "Consume this drop of blood, refine it into your heart. You'll be able to emulate its aura for a short period of time, as well as produce a faint trace of its power. That's all the time you'll need. Don't worry, even a Godlord will recognize this as the highest. Understand?"

After saying this, Wei Wuyin waited for the reply.

Nodding, Wei Wuyin continued: "When you've escaped, you'll find a Void Ring by the Void Anchor. Activate it by sending spiritual energies into it. You'll be sent to a place known as the Neo-Dawn Star. You'll be safe there for now. Just focus on your escape. Understand?"

"Yes." The voice was extremely obedient.

Wei Wuyin couldn't help but sigh. When the moment came, he sensed himself within the prison. This was from its perspective, but it was as if the natural Void existed within.

He tried to enter the prison, but something prevented him from doing so.

Beyond the fragmented Secret Realm where the Void Portal was located, a figure soundlessly appeared, gazing at the empty space where Wei Wuyin had once been.

This was another one of his Spirit Severing Cultivations.

When he did, he sensed the ambient suppression tethered to a single type of aura. That aura wasn't him. It wasn't him at all. It was another him. It was a him that existed in another plane, another dimension, another reality. It was a him that existed in one day visiting Hell on its own or escaping Hell was becoming a solid reality in the near future.

"This is getting out of hand," Wei Wuyin.

Without hesitation, he consumed the potion. His four Astral Souls assisted the digestion and refinement, while the spiritual energy flowed into his heart, permeating every fiber of his being. The process was surprisingly smooth, taking only a minute to complete.

Among them was a specific pillar that he was focused on entirely: a pillar resonating with the Law of Want.
