Chapter 1925 - 1917 No Longer Protected

"We can't think so pessimistically," Enforcer Precious-Heart reasoned, "as long as there's the slightest chance, the possibility of our galaxy gaining an unrivaled talent by saving them remains strong."

Her words weren't exactly wrong, but Dongfang Yue glared at her. In her mind, Wei Wuyin was the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint AND the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Emperor. She had long since decided that truth in her heart.

...Boom...

Another explosion erupted, drawing their Soul Perceptions. The mass of radiant light ballooned to an obscene size that defied celestial limits, becoming glaringly obvious to any who could see the starry skies, even a mere mortal could recognize it.

"...!" They all felt their hearts pounding in their chests.

Then, within a moment or two, the mass of radiant light vanished entirely.

Superior Shizi's eyes narrowed. "He's coming!" With an exclamation, he communicated with the Zenith Extraction Tower regarding his conclusion: the Neo-Dawn Ascendant Emperor had built up enough power to Void Shift! The ability of Void Shifting was not unique to Wei Wuyin, and at varying levels of proficiency, all Supreme Sages could execute this ability, even some remarkable Mystic Ascendant Realm cultivators could. The consequences of being unable to detect, disrupt, or destroy those who Void Shift were a territory that was free to be invaded.

The Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array accounted for that, built in with a disruption effect of travel through the dimensions of space and the Void, far stronger than the Endless Disruption Talismanic Formations surrounding the Neo Zenith Tower's spatial territory.

Within the entire galaxy, all Void Shifting was disrupted if not outright forbidden! If an attempt was made, it would begin to contain and refine anything that was registered as an abnormality within its region of the Void. Even the Void Altar began to experience great interference.

And as expected, Wei Wuyin instantly sensed this disruption just as he was about to enter the Void Portal. A sensation of imminent danger emanated from the depths of the Void Portal. Normally, most wouldn't be able to sense this, falling into a trap of death, but as a Heavenly Saint Alchemist with an Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation on par with the Alchemic Stars of Pure Enlightenment, he could not only determine the danger but its cause.

'Alchemic Dao's Aura?' Wei Wuyin deduced the origins of the threat. For others, this threat was potentially lethal and difficult to overcome, but to him, a possessor of the Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation, it was entirely trivial.

Despite that, he pulled back the Void Portal's exit point with a yanking gesture. A few thousand miles away from the Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array. The threatening sensation emanating from the Void Portal vanished altogether.

Kang Min-ji flew closer. Her gaze lingered on Wei Wuyin for a bit before observing the Void Portal. The Void Portal was exceptionally crafted, connecting two regions of space without any disharmony or chaotic fluctuations leaking from the erraticness of the Void. It was immaculate. The best Void Portal she had ever witnessed, created without any gateway or anchor, defying commonly known restraints.

Wei Wuyin didn't repeat himself. He walked into the Void Portal. Kang Min-ji didn't need any additional prompting or further instructions. She, too, walked in. After which, the Void Portal instantly vanished without a trace.

-----

Several thousand miles from the galactic border of the Utmost Purity Galaxy, which was denoted by a firm bubble of seven swirling colors, two figures walked out from a Void Portal.

Kang Min-ji let out a soft gasp. The Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array was enough to elicit such a reaction from her, a true Spiritualist who was likely a Cardinal Sage!

Wei Wuyin observed the Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array with his Celestial Eyes. An unusual fiery spiritually divine light ignited within his silvery gaze as he inspected the bubble.

'The Paramount-Divine Unification Method not only consolidated my cultivation base in a single instant, merging my will with the Ways of Mysticism, intimately connecting my innate aspects of the physical, mental, essence, and spiritual of the Soul of Mysticism Phase, but also had each of their Mystic Forms transform, shrouded by a thin layer of Spiritual Divine Mist as they emit faint divine light.'

'My Celestial Eyes have also improved almost a hundred-fold after ascending to the Soul of Mysticism Phase, gaining some unique divine quality. I feel that, even without my Celestial Eyes, my Spiritual Sense can observe Unseen Divinities to a degree. This Cultivation Method is different from the Forsaken Zenith, Unto Origin Method I obtained from Jing Jiu in the Battlefield designed to purposefully elevate one's Spirit's intrinsic state. It must have been an indirect completion of their transformation requirements rather than the direct cause.'

'I need to explore the abilities of this Divine State further. The Origin State had allowed them to gain Mana Dominance. We've all experienced great changes on a fundamental level across the board. It seems consolidating my cultivation base was only a small part. I need to consolidate and excavate the properties of these various transformations, not only for myself, or the Mystic Souls, but for Little Defiant and Athena!'

Wei Wuyin halted a few thousand miles from the Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array's physical barrier, drawn into his own thoughts regarding the drastically rapid sequences of transformation he had recently experienced. His hesitation outwardly seemed to be a sign of caution.

Kang Min-ji gave him a side-eye. This Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array was a true Resonance Array. It didn't just use the Alchemic Dao's essential aura, but it also accessed seven Laws of the Heavenly Realms that synergistically amplified the seven aspects of the Alchemic Dao via seven Mystic-Heaven graded treasures—the Zenith Towers.

She wouldn't dare force her way through. She silently prayed that Wei Wuyin wouldn't order her to test its abilities, already readying her response to dissuade or avoid that outcome.

Fortunately for her, Wei Wuyin's silence or thoughts were not focused on having her test the dangers. And her prayers were answered as someone had jumped out to distract Wei Wuyin. ℝᴀNОBЕs

"Emperor Neo-Dawn!" An imposing and majestic voice blasted toward the duo, amplified by and originating from the array. It belonged to Dao Enforcer Shizi! The bubble rippled as a two-dimensional representation of Enforcer Shizi that was hundreds of thousands of miles in size manifested within the barrier. He resembled a grand divinity, wielding the unique might and profound beauty of the Alchemic Dao.

Wei Wuyin's silver eyes focused slightly, locating the gargantuan eyes of this flat manifestation.

Enforcer Shizi was about to speak when he observed Wei Wuyin. 'Silver eyes?' Instantly, he noticed something that he hadn't before. Those resplendent silver eyes of Wei Wuyin were of a particular shade that was unmistakable, creating seismic waves throughout his heart and mind.

Wei Wuyin's brows furrowed.

Enforcer Shizi eventually regained his composure. "I ask that you find serenity in your heart. The Utmost Purity Galaxy isn't an arena of blood for the wanton will of an Imperial Dao cultivator. I hope you understand."

"..." Wei Wuyin's left eyebrow lifted, showcasing a tinge of amusement within his divinely silver eyes. He shifted his gaze to the Dark Void in the far distance, away from the Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array. There were a few auras concealed by a Mystic-Heaven grade treasure.

The sight caused Enforcer Shizi to realize that those trying to sneak upon the duo were exposed. This all but lent evidence to the origins of those silver eyes. He looked toward the elderly woman by Wei Wuyin's side. Her cultivation base was outwardly a consolidated Microheaven Envoy, but there was an inkling of peculiarity within her presence that was difficult to pinpoint.

She must have been his Dharma Protector who was left outside the galaxy as a safety measure.

"Emperor Neo-Dawn, the Zeniths seek answers. I ask that you alleviate their concerns before further intrusion. I'll remind you, any attempt at destruction toward our representation of Alchemic Dao has great consequences." Enforcer Shizi's earlier intentions weakened, actively choosing to warn Wei Wuyin not to act recklessly.

Kang Min-ji glanced toward the region that Wei Wuyin noticed. The concealment executed was phenomenally done, and almost every Microheaven Envoy wouldn't be able to sense it without an extensive scouring with purpose and a keen insight into observing fluctuations within space and mana. However, to her, this was worthless.

She sensed four Supreme Sages. All Avatars or Incarnations. They seemed to display great caution, likely observing the situation to see how to react while staying safe outside the galaxy's borders.

Unbeknownst to even her, Wei Wuyin sensed the location of the true hidden unit of Supreme Sages. None of which were Avatars or Incarnations, but genuine Supreme Sages. The concealment there was immaculate, fusing perfectly with the essence of all creation, emulating the undetectable, unseen presence of the heavens, not creating any disturbance at all in temporal flow, spatial fluctuations, or Void contact.

Wei Wuyin didn't outright expose them by observing them. Instead, he calmly analyzed the Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array before the solemn, heavy gaze of Enforcer Shizi's expression. For Enforcer Shizi, he was wondering why those outside had yet to make a move. Weren't these schemes all for this moment? Moreover, they had eliminated an aspect of their core plans—shove the Neo-Dawn Ascendant Emperor outside the galactic territory.

"You want answers?" Wei Wuyin suddenly asked. "Then, I'll give you answers. But first, I have a question of my own, and I expect an answer without falsehoods or I'll consider YOU responsible for it all."

"..." Enforcer Shizi was taken aback. In a way, Wei Wuyin wasn't in any position to make demands. He stayed silent, or more accurately, Wei Wuyin didn't give him any time to do anything else but digest the intent of his words.

"Who attacked my wife?"

It was a seemingly simple question, yet it was not without its complexities. There were wrong answers and a single right answer. Moreover, Wei Wuyin's gaze focused on Enforcer Shizi, his piercing perception locating him from within.

The subrealm space the Enforcers were utilizing to hold each other together and prevent unsanctioned activities experienced a light tremor that each Dao Enforcer could feel in their souls.

Suo Haoran's face instantly became dour. He wasn't the only one. The Dao Enforcers all had various changes to their expressions. Somehow, he felt Wei Wuyin's presence descend upon the subrealm space without form or substance. It was hard to even tell if it was there, but they all possessed their own Soul Perception and Spiritual Sense, keenly aware that something had locked onto their location.

Dongfang Yue looked toward Shizi who held a unique hand-seal, remotely imbuing his Spiritual Qi into the array to project his manifestation and communicate through it. And even his expression was grave.

Enforcer Bound-Spirit asked anxiously, "The Imperial Law has been internally restricted by the Minor Prohibition of Heaven's Resonance, right?"

Those scheming against him had taken ample precautions against Wei Wuyin's Imperial Law. As a Monarch with an established territory within the Utmost Purity Galaxy, this could make it difficult to deal with him as he could draw continuous strength from the region or use it as a fortress, so they established a smaller-scaled Prohibition of Heaven's Resonance that surrounded the Sky Heart Galaxy, targeted toward the Imperial Law.

Enforcer Shizi ignored Enforcer Bound-Spirit, feeling the pressure upon him. He thought for a second. Despite carrying the pride of a lion, he didn't have any qualms about exposing others. Moreover, this might get them to act sooner. Through the manifestation, he answered: "The Peerless Shadow Pavilion."

"...!" Everyone in the subrealm space was delivered an electrifying jolt. Enforcer Shizi just exposed them directly?!

What's more, he didn't stop: "They cultivate something known as Shadows worn. They're quasi-avatars that have an artificial Quintessential Thread of Existential Self that made them seem like living existences, mimicking deathsworn assassins."

"ENFORCER SHIZI!!!" Enforcer Hulking-Titan raged as secrets were spilled. The Peerless Shadow Pavilion had great connections with the Zenith Fusion Tower and was based in the Fusing Souls Galactic Zone. But Enforcer Shizi still didn't stop!

"They allied with the Arachnids and Superior Yushi to act against your wife and concubine. Now, will you answer the questions of the Zeniths?" Enforcer Shizi, under the incomparably shaken gazes of several Supreme Existences, remained entirely composed.

Wei Wuyin withdrew his perception, causing the formless presence to recede. Despite his calm facial expression, within the fiery spiritual light dancing within his silvery irises, there was seething, hellish rage.

'The Peerless Shadow Pavilion.'

"The first question: what is your body's current cultivation level?"

Wei Wuyin didn't hesitate to answer: "Second Stage of the Mystic Ascendant Realm—Soul of Mysticism."

Enforcer Shizi nodded, expecting this answer. It seems that the possession was true. Regardless, all that was needed was for him to ask the question, anything else was a greater gain.

"Until further investigation and a finalized decision by the Ancient Zenith, acting as the authority of the Alchemic Dao representing the Utmost Purity Galaxy, the naturally-given protected status of the Heavenly Saint Alchemist known as Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint will be revoked." Enforcer Shizi instantly delivered a declaration that caused countless hearts to pound. "Alchemic Dao, be my witness!"

A flourish of seven-colored radiance erupted on a galactic scale, painting the Dark Void in its hues, granting this region of the Dark Void an extraordinary beauty that could allure the hearts of all alchemists and cultivators. While fleeting, it would leave a lasting, eternal impression.

Wei Wuyin was entirely indifferent. If he had said the Resonant Soul Realm, anything, or nothing at all, his protected status would have been revoked. So any action against him will not provoke a necessary response by the Dao Enforcers tasked with protecting genuine Alchemists, those with Alchemic Spirits of Cultivation.

"Do you have a second question?" Wei Wuyin asked, entirely unaffected by his implied protection status being stripped.

Enforcer Shizi was observing intently. However, those waiting for their moment still hadn't taken action despite his deliberate attempt to accelerate the process. He found the schemes of other Supreme Sages so frustrating. Since they had a purpose, go and act it out!

He was right there!

"We do. But we will ask it after the initial stages of the investigation." Enforcer Shizi's words resounded as his manifestation began to fade. The Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array was still activated at its full strength, barring entry from all those outside.

Wei Wuyin silently watched Enforcer Shizi vanish, only continuing his analysis of the Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array.

Kang Min-ji gave Wei Wuyin a side-eye effused with realization, as if certain things were connecting despite lacking some context. She recalled his mystical light that contained illusory Mystic Runes, her eyes sparkling with an idea. She thought for a moment, and seemingly remarked out of curiosity: "Ancestral Possession of Akasha, huh?"

Wei Wuyin ignored her, not giving her the reaction she aimed for. Witnessing not even the slightest flinch, Kang Min-ji was left uncertain about her theory. There were still a few things that didn't quite line up correctly. She decided to pay closer attention.

"Ready yourself," Wei Wuyin transmitted mentally.

Kang Min-ji's eyes grew alert, not hiding her increased levels of vigilance as if she wished to have any who sought to act against her to understand that she was fully aware of their malicious intentions. This did nothing to stop what happened next.
