Chapter 1987 Chapter 1979: Dao Force; Undefeated
A lone Solar Star of gargantuan proportions towered over the Inner Ascendant Battlefield of Order's Lower 44th Zone. Beneath it, eyes were wide, forced open by the horrid claws of unending despair, and knees found their home solidly on the ground as an insurmountable obstacle stood before the hearts and minds of the Creationists present.
The Solar Star bathed those beneath it in clear, misty radiance whose warmth contained obscure and sophisticated whispers of esoteric knowledge and profound truth. Ears bled, tears were wept, and hands quivered uncontrollably before its brilliance. The six glaringly large Mystic Radiance Belts spiraling about moved with the intensity of thunderous booms to the mind.
The lone Globe of Creation was one founded solely on scholarly knowledge of cultivation and the world, pushed to the greatest extent imaginable within the limits of the Ascendants Battlefield. While other Globes of Creation had one to three Mystic Radiance Belts, only the humongous entity built upon scholarly knowledge birthed SIX!
"..." Wei Wuyin stood below his Globe of Creation, gazing at the immensity of its form, yet despite its insurmountable presence, his facial expression was grim and tight with perplexity. The sequence of events that was utterly devastating to the Soldiers and Commanders of this battlefield was subject to only this reaction from the man responsible!
The reason?
This was the first time that Wei Wuyin received direct validation of the extent of his cultivation progression and knowledge. His cultivation experiences thus far have been nothing short of heaven-defying, and while he always focused on moving forward, seeing the devouring light of those stronger than him as Hell and the Heavenly Daos pulled at him brutally from below and above, he had never found the time to verify his growth of knowledge and understanding.
As he cultivated, experiencing things such as observing the River of Time, facing the World in a deadly clash, leveraging karmic ties and the Heavenly Daos' grand machinations, seizing access to the Samsara of Stars, continuously elevating his knowledge in alchemy, devising fresh arts and spells-something he's always had a wondrous talent for, and repeatedly building an unrivaled foundation, he had never sat down and properly sorted through his knowledge.
It was extremely eerie how many of the questions posed by the Globe of Creation in regards to improving arts, spells, and methods, theorizing outcomes of cultivation, designing formations, formulating complex arrays, and simulating all sorts of circumstances through blank models, were so easy.
SO INCREDIBLY EASY!
Despite Magus seeking to go all out here, the level of knowledge presented was no different than basic arithmetic to a well-educated mathematics professor. It was to the point that Magus felt it humiliating to act, leaving the trials and tests for him to handle alone. This insurmountable Globe of Creation was the result of his effort alone!
As for why he was so grim about this development, it was simply mind-boggling to realize the grand disparity of knowledge. Some of these tests would stump Mystic Overlords, yet it felt naturally intuitive for him, as if he'd already grasped the entirety of the Mystic Ascendant Realm, matching or even exceeding a Resonant Soul Realm cultivator!
"I've always attributed our strength to all of you. I was simply the pilot enjoying the fruits of your labor," Wei Wuyin sighed lightly, "but now I've realized that, without sufficiently intimate knowledge of each of your foundations, each of your daos, I'd be like a toddler trying to handle sailing a boat out in the sea-utterly impossible. Haha!" After coming to this realization, an invisible and inexplicable weight lifted from his Heart of Cultivation. He hadn't even realized it was there, placing an unseen strain on it from afar, growing and festering like a seed of corruption. Perhaps only when he settled down in quiet, no longer looking forward, no longer pushing forward always, would it bloom into a ruinous tree.
While the Inner Ascendant Battlefield was scrambling in madness and fear, Wei Wuyin decided to test a theory. With a thought, all five of his Mystic Souls fell silent. He could no longer feel their strength, essence, mystic energy, and spiritual aspects all ceased to be in his control. Upon doing so, he closed his eyes to observe himself.
Element.
Little Defiant.
Athena.
He could faintly hear their hum of existence, present and alert.
Within his body, around his soul, seven Laws thrummed with a heavenly hymn, alluding to greater authority beneath the heavens of those worldly domains-Origin, Saber, Imperial, Annihilation, Space, Time, and War. They moved in accordance with his will, inexplicable and inseparable.
As his will moved, their defining characteristics bled throughout his body, becoming his blood and flesh-Intent.
Saber Intent was imbued in his flesh, organs, and breath, exuding a sharpness of his gaze, movement, and presence, capable and exercising the desire to protect and kill, bringing an end to all things with a single swing.
Elemental Origin Intent attuned with the external world, influenced by his thoughts, capable of calling forth the wind and rain in anger or sadness, breathing life into all things flora, and unleashing world-ending calamities that beckon the prelude of new life. All the elements of the world gathered within a single will, expressed by endless transformations and permutations.
He could feel how they interacted within him, how they interacted beyond his heart's reach, and how they interacted further into the depths of the world and void. It was a miraculous feeling that defined his connections as a cultivator.
Abruptly, he recalled the World. It possessed an unfathomable will exuded an omnipresent force ould Intent be an emulation of that entity? We're cultivators following its path when they cultivated Intent? The pondered was fleeting, yet it cemented itself within his soul.
It was a brief moment of surreptitious enlightenment, a spark of insight that could only be derived by those who've personally faced and experienced the presence of the World's indescribable force. As if building a ladder within his mind of knowledge, he felt a natural progression of understanding here.
The next stage AFTER the Void Soul Intent.
Seed Intent.
Awakened Intent.
Heart of the World, World of the Intent.
Soul of the Void, Void of the Soul Intent.
Force of the Dao, Dao of the Force Intent!
DAO FORCE INTENT!
Wei Wuyin felt his mind illuminated with grand insight that far exceeded his realm, yet fit perfectly with the depth of his experiences and knowledge. Using your will to emulate and draw strength from the myriad of daos. The concept was godly!
As he concluded his discovery, the final stage of resistance came to an abrupt end as they sought to negotiate with Wei Wuyin, issuing their surrender in a formal message that decorated the three thousand zones as if afraid that he would miss it.
The connection with his Mystic Souls was re-established. In truth, they had deliberately gone silent, sensing that Wei Wuyin had to confirm a profound truth that had eluded him until now. With a clear path forward on how to progress, he had illuminated the road for his cultivation. He only needed to continue walking down it.
Witnessing yet another display of unrivaled ability, Tilly was awestruck as always. This was even more so after Wei Wuyin's method of victory changed from Alchemy to Scholarly Knowledge utilizing multiple Ways of Creation. This allowed her to understand a new side to this man before her.
Wei Wuyin spent a short period extracting all the benefits he could from the defeated parties, replicating his aggressive accumulation of knowledge from the Inner Stellar and Outer Stellar Battlefields. They didn't refute, especially after oath-dissolving potions were given out to bypass any existing restrictions. When met with almost certain death or exchanging their lineage, legacies, and insights, perhaps in their home of origin they might resist, but this was the Battlefield of Order where their experts' might was utterly useless, and as such, they could only submit.
Wei Wuyin gathered a rather tidy sum of knowledge here, already tasking Magus to clean up and organize it all before he would send it out to Xue Yifei to dole out optimally to develop the empire's elites. The hundreds of thousands, potentially millions of years, of effort, testing, and development, such as technology of Skyships, Void Vessels, Blessed Grounds-nurturing arrays, new ways to create unseen and useful materials, tools, and celestial bodies were all completed within a single swoop, greatly elevating the societal tier of the Neo-Dawn Empire.
It would take some time to properly digest it all, but with the Neo-Dawn Vortex-Zone Pellets, at least developing talents or digesting knowledge through continuous study could be easily performed without exhausting cultivators' core strength or time. This would accelerate the empire's growth beyond a shadow of a doubt.
He trusted Xue Yifei would ensure the societal foundation was solid as well, not producing a great imbalance in cultivators' realm or technology across the empire, nor giving out any benefits without corresponding merit. The latter was crucially important. He didn't want a majority of his cultivators to be greenhouse flowers within his
empire.
"You want to enter the Ascendant Battlefield of War next?" Tilly asked with blinking eyes. Wei Wuyin had displayed extraordinary alchemic skill and scholarly knowledge amongst the Battlefields of Order. This was the first time they would enter the Battlefield of War, and there would be devastatingly strong Mystic Ascendants there from all over the galactic cluster.
Wei Wuyin smiled, confirming his intentions, "Let's go."
Tilly hurriedly harnessed the spatial transportation array. Within moments, they were leaving the Inner Ascendant Battlefield of Order undefeated.
Outer Ascendant Battlefield of War.
The duo landed in a safe zone naturally designated by those of the zone as the gathering place of their headquarters for the war effort. And while there was no strict 'safe zone' here, all prone to imminent assault and siege, this landing zone was typically the greatest gathering of soldiers and commanders.
When they arrived under Wei Wuyin's acceleration, there was a strong scent of blood and grim death in the air, bringing a discomforting sting to the nostrils and eyes.
"HUA!" Tilly gasped in horror.
Before her, before them both, was a field of...corpses.
Corpses as far as mortal eyes could see.
