Peerless Battle Spirit

Chapter 1696 - The Three Envoys

Not long after, the top of the mountain was crowded with cultivators.

Half of the four types of seats were occupied. When the cultivators glanced ahead, it felt like they were standing in an ocean of people. They felt minuscule.

Lots of people were inspecting Qin Nan with their Divine Sense. Some were only taking a quick glance, some simply focused their attention on him.

Qin Nan remained collected. He secretly activated the Immortal Eyes of the Divine God of Battle and quickly scanned the Blue Dragon Wooden Chairs.

The people seated on the Blue Dragon Wooden Chairs were Human Immortals that were participants of the battle, Peerless Geniuses, and cultivators above the Earth Immortal Realm.

Qin Nan was startled after a few moments.

A fair distance away right opposite him was a glamorous woman in a white immortal dress. Her hair was tied up high and her skin was fair. She was carrying three mysterious immortal swords on her back. She sat down with her legs crossed and her eyes shut.

Lots of cultivators were talking noisily around her, yet her temperament was still standing out like a white lotus in a pool of mud.

“The girl must be Yan Qingyan, one of the Seven Elites of Heavens and Earth that Senior Blood-Eye mentioned, the first core disciple of the Reincarnation Sect.”

Qin Nan nodded.

The Seven Elites of Heavens and Earth were indeed quite impressive. Most cultivators or Peerless Geniuses would possess a cultivation of the fourth-layer Human Immortal Realm at most after they ascended, but the woman was already in the sixth-layer Human Immortal Realm.

Yan Qingyan’s eyes twitched all of a sudden. She opened her eyes and exchanged glances with Qin Nan. She did not seem to be surprised that he was looking at her. She brought her fists together and greeted him.

Qin Nan brought his fists together too. He was a little intrigued. He had abducted Hua Jiandao of the Reincarnation Sect, yet why did he feel like the woman was acting friendly toward him instead of showing hostility?

Qin Nan did not overthink it. He soon moved his gaze away.

Four other people also stood out among the crowd.

Sima Xunbei, the first core disciple of the Sky-Inheriting Sect; he too had a cultivation of the sixth-layer Human Immortal Realm. He was wearing a blue robe, and was holding a fan.

The man seemed like a gentleman on the surface, yet his eyes kept staring at the women while uttering shameless comments that made the men nearby burst out laughing.

Zhao Kuo, a seventh-layer Human Immortal; he was a rogue cultivator too. He was emitting a firm, imperious aura.

The Blood-Eye Human Immortal had mentioned that he was the reincarnation of a Heaven Immortal under the reign of a Nine Heavens Supreme. He was not to be underestimated.

Qin Nan gave the third guy, Huangfu Hou a few extra glances.

The man’s cultivation was in the seventh-layer Human Immortal Realm. He was the first core disciple of the Sky Taihuang Sect. The man was emitting an icy aura that was cold like a piece of Ten Thousand Years Mysterious Ice. It reminded Qin Nan of a specific woman.

As for the final guy, Qin Nan did fight against him once; the first core disciple of the Dao Execution Gate, Wu Huisheng. The man’s cultivation had reached the seventh-layer Human Immortal Realm after he ascended as an immortal too.

“Qin Nan, you didn’t let me down indeed! Don’t forget your promise,” Wu Huisheng transmitted his thought to him. His calm eyes flickered with astonishment and a strong battle intent.

He had been waiting for this moment since their last battle. He was having difficulty getting a good rest, or cultivating with a peace of mind.

Qin Nan smilingly nodded.

“You indeed impressed me. It hasn’t been long since you came to the Nine Heavens Immortal Realm, yet so many people already want to kill you.”

Meng Jiugong who was gone for a moment sat down beside Qin Nan and harrumphed.

Qiu Hong immediately wore an alerted look.

Qin Nan was slightly startled too. He looked around him and saw Wan Xiao hiding on a White Jade Chair. He shook his head and said, “Your Flesh of Good Luck impressed me too.”

Meng Jiugong’s expression froze. He soon clenched his teeth. He did not realize Qin Nan was a sardonic man too.

Qiu Hong chuckled and said, “Young Master, aren’t you supposed to sit on the Immortal Dragon Purple Chair? Why are you so humble to be sitting with us here today?”

Meng Jiugong glanced at Qiu Hong and wore a proud look, “Many things happened recently, so I never had the chance to talk about it. You seem to have forgotten about it too. I have come here to tell you that I, Meng Jiugong, am a man of my words. You can go ahead and choose two Blessed Immortal Lands as you wish.”

Qin Nan immediately felt guilty.

He did not forget about the bet. How could he easily give up on two Blessed Immortal Lands?

However, he had yet to fully ascend as an immortal. Everyone could easily tell the truth when he transformed his last wisp of god force into the immortal force during the Battle of the Strongest Immortal.

As such, he simply pretended that he had forgotten about the bet. He did not think Meng Jiugong would insist to keep his words and take the initiative to discuss it with him. He actually felt sorry for him.

“Fellow cultivators, sorry for coming late!”

A clear voice echoed across the mountain.

The cultivators subconsciously lifted their gaze and saw a young, handsome man with a broad smile, a middle-aged man with a fierce aura, and a woman in a blue robe approaching the place in the air.

“Greetings, Envoy Feng Chen, Envoy Rong Wang, and Envoy Yue Jue!”

The authorities and disciples of the thirteen Supreme Daoism factions rose to their feet and brought their fists together.

Even the Bliss Immortal Emperor, the Peerless Rulers, and Meng Jiugong reacted the same way too.

“So they are the Envoys of the Sky Taihuang Sect, the Heaven Illusionary Ancestor Sect, and the Sanqing Ancient Sect?”

Qin Nan’s eyes flickered with astonishment.

These Envoys were representing the Patriarchs.

The Patriarchs would rarely show themselves; they would usually appoint someone extremely close to be their Envoys to represent them in most of the matters, including the Battle of the Strongest Immortal.

Even though the Envoys’ cultivation was only equivalent to the Peerless Rulers, their status was incomparable to the rest of the Peerless Rulers.

“HAHA, please, there’s no need to be so courteous. It’s our honor that you have traveled so far to visit our Sky Taihuang Sect.”

Envoy Feng Hua burst out laughing and waved his hand before sitting down.

The man’s temperament and bearing were incredibly pleasant. Everyone felt that he was a friendly man despite his status.

Many rogue cultivators with relatively weaker cultivation were relieved.

“Alright, let’s cut straight to the topic.”

Envoy Feng Hua greeted the Peerless Rulers and straightened his face. He faced the crowd, “On behalf of the Patriarch, I now declare, the Battle of the Strongest Immortal begins now!”

He glanced at Qin Nan with a faint grin after giving his speech.

He had to say that the bold kid had indeed done him a great favor.
