Chapter 521: Diana’s Tearful Slap
Chapter 521: Diana’s Tearful Slap
Victoria winked at her. "And you love me for it. Now eat your breakfast before it gets cold. We still have to talk about how fast you moved on my boy... and what exactly you plan to show him tomorrow."
Diana glanced at me shyly, her foot gently brushing against mine under the table as if seeking comfort. I smiled and squeezed her hand under the table, letting her know I was right there with her.
The breakfast table felt warm, chaotic, and strangely perfect — filled with laughter, teasing, and the beginning of something real.
After finishing breakfast, Diana suddenly winked at Victoria with a playful yet determined glint in her eyes. She stood up gracefully from the table and announced in a light, teasing tone, "I am taking your son on a date today. Don’t wait up for us, okay?"
Victoria raised an eyebrow, smirking over the rim of her coffee cup. "Oh? Already stealing him away for a private date? Go on then, my future daughter-in-law. But remember what I said earlier — no protection if things get serious. I want grandbabies, and I want them soon!"
Diana’s cheeks flushed instantly, but she didn’t back down. Instead, she came closer to me, grasping my hand firmly in hers. Her fingers laced with mine naturally, warm and confident. We walked outside together, hand in hand, the morning sunlight bathing us as we stepped out of the house.
This time, Diana took the car keys from my hand without a word. The moment she did, her entire demeanor changed in an instant.
The playful, blushing woman from the breakfast table disappeared completely. Her expression turned serious, almost nervous. Her usual confident, icy aura was clouded with visible tension — her shoulders slightly tense, her lips pressed together, and a faint worry line appearing between her brows.
She sat in the driver’s seat and started the car. The engine purred to life smoothly as I settled into the passenger side, watching her closely. I could see her knuckles turning white on the steering wheel, her breathing a little shallower than usual.
"Diana... is everything okay?" I asked gently, turning toward her with concern. "You look... nervous. Is something bothering you? You can tell me anything."
I already knew what this was about. She must want to reveal her true identity to me — the full extent of her dark world, her empire, her secrets, everything she had hidden for so long. That was why she was so tense and serious right now.
Diana shook her head slowly, keeping her eyes fixed on the road ahead. She bit her lower lip hard, as if gathering courage.
"I... I want to show you something important today," she said quietly, her voice trembling just a little. "Before we can truly confirm our relationship... before I let myself believe this is real and permanent. I need you to see everything. The good... and the bad. No more hiding."
I pretended to look angry, crossing my arms dramatically and puffing out my chest. "Diana... do you want me to get killed? Didn’t you hear what my mom said this morning? She was dead serious about disowning me if I hurt you."
"Do you think I have the guts to do anything that might upset her now? I’ve never seen Mom get this serious about anything — not even when she mentioned disowning me. If I hurt you, she’ll actually do it!"
Diana shook her head again, her eyes softening with emotion even as she kept driving. "No... just listen to me, please. If after seeing everything, you still accept me... then I have nothing more to say. I’ll be completely yours. But if... if it changes how you feel about me... if you can’t handle the truth... I will understand. I won’t force you to stay. I won’t blame you."
I leaned over quickly, cupping her face gently with one hand while she kept one hand on the wheel. I kissed her deeply, pouring all my reassurance into it. When I pulled back, I looked straight into her eyes, my voice firm and full of conviction.
"There is no ’if,’ Diana," I said. "I would never let you go... no matter what you show me. Nothing will change how I feel about you."
I paused for a second, then added with a strange, teasing look in my eyes, "Except..."
Diana’s eyes widened in surprise, her grip tightening on the steering wheel. "Except what?"
I hesitated dramatically, building the tension, then said with mock seriousness, "Except... if you had some strange... kinks... like cuckolding your husband or boyfriend..."
The words barely left my mouth before Diana slapped me hard across the face. The sound echoed inside the car. Tears immediately sprang into her eyes, her hand trembling as it hovered in the air.
I was only teasing her — I knew how deeply she loved me, how possessive and loyal she was. It was impossible for her to even imagine being with another man. But the slap still stung sharply.
I quickly hugged her tightly, pulling her against my chest despite the steering wheel between us. I kissed away the tears that had started rolling down her cheeks, my lips soft and apologetic.
"I’m sorry... I’m so sorry," I whispered, my voice full of genuine regret. "I would never say anything like that again. I promise. I was just teasing you... I know how much you love me. I was stupid and thoughtless."
Diana sniffled, still hurt, but slowly wrapped her arms around me. Her voice was shaky as she buried her face in my neck. "This is not funny... You are the only man... except for my dad... who has ever touched me. The only one I have ever wanted. How could you even joke about something like that? It hurts..."
I gently caressed her cheek, wiping the last of her tears with my thumb. "I’m sorry... I am willing to take any punishment. Please forgive me... my wife."
Diana looked at me for a long moment, her expression softening despite the lingering hurt. A small, mischievous spark returned to her eyes. She wiped her own tears and gave me a light smack on the arm.
"Let’s see how you will perform..." she murmured, her voice low and slightly husky as she started the car again, pulling back onto the road. "If you can handle the truth I’m about to show you... Then maybe I’ll forgive you properly tonight. And maybe... I’ll even reward you."
She gave me one last glance — a mix of love, nervousness, lingering tears, and quiet determination — before focusing on the drive ahead.
Whatever she was about to reveal, I knew it would change everything.
But I was ready.
I was ready for her — all of her.
