Chapter 1007: Chapter 1224: Cola Rice

This Krabby had no sense of honor—when it couldn't win, it actually called for its mother. Julian felt nothing but contempt and shot it a disdainful look.

Then he directly tossed the stick in his hand onto Krabby's head.

That instantly angered the Kingler—beating its child right in front of it was basically treating it like it didn't exist.

It raised its massive claw and lunged at Julian.

But the moment Julian threw the stick, he had already turned and run.

For Pokémon under level 10, their damage output was limited. As long as you weren't elderly or a child, most adult humans could follow the principle of "if you can't win, run." Stronger humans could even defeat sub-level-10 Pokémon barehanded.

However, once a Pokémon passed level 10, its strength increased significantly.

Pokémon below level 10 were essentially in the infant stage, with limited offensive power. Above level 10, they had already graduated from infancy.

Of course, there were exceptions—like Dragon-type Pokémon that matured later.

Even though Julian had a physique like someone from Pallet Town, he still didn't dare to go head-on against a level-40-plus Kingler.

Just looking at those cold, gleaming claws—one snap and he'd probably be cut in half.

Seeing that the human was running unusually fast, Kingler was just about to give up chasing and return to comfort its child when—

Bang!

A rock suddenly hit it square on the forehead.

"Hey idiot, why'd you stop chasing?"

Turning around, it saw that annoying human pulling faces and making rude gestures at it.

Well, that did it. The rage flared up instantly, like a fuse lit under a powder keg.

Watching Kingler charge at him again, this time Julian didn't run.

He suddenly felt like trying something out.

Try what, exactly?

Julian brought his hands to his waist, and a faint blue glow flickered to life between his palms.

"Haa—!"

He thrust his hands forward, hurling a pale blue Aura Sphere straight ahead.

Kingler was stunned—this human could actually form an Aura Sphere? It didn't even think to dodge and took the hit directly.

BOOM!

The Aura Sphere blasted Kingler flying backward—and in the process, it knocked its own child flying as well.

"Not bad… the power's pretty good."

Julian looked at his hands and muttered to himself.

After his Aura had reached the Master-level, Julian could indeed form Aura Spheres with his bare hands—he just hadn't tested it on Pokémon before.

From the looks of it now, the power was quite impressive.

One Aura Sphere consumed roughly a tenth of his internal Aura reserves.

And the power output could also be increased further—though the consumption would naturally rise as well.

"Lucario, take this!"

"Ka… me… hame… haaa—!"

He launched an Aura Sphere directly into Lucario's face.

The latter simply looked at its trainer with a resigned expression.

The power of that Aura Sphere wasn't even enough to ruffle its fur.

"Doggo, your turn!"

"Arf!"

Arcanine: "I'm dead, I'm dead. Totally dead."

After being hit by the Aura Sphere, Arcanine immediately collapsed onto the ground, belly-up, fully cooperating with Julian's childish antics.

"Kartana, let's have a showdown!"

Slice!

Kartana directly cut the Aura Sphere in half.

"You're still ten thousand years too early to challenge me—just keep chasing my shadow."

Kartana stood with its back to Julian, radiating peak levels of edgy swagger.

"Dragonite—Rising Dragon Fist!"

Julian wrapped his fist in Aura energy and punched Dragonite in the stomach.

Dragonite hesitated for a moment, then moved its feet—its body flew backward with a loud boom, letting out a dramatic "cry."

Arcanine: 'This chubby guy acts even better than me.'

"Julian, you're amazing!"

Jirachi clapped and cheered from the side.

"Hehehe, just a small trick."

Julian placed his hands on his hips, feeling utterly invincible.

"Gen~"

Just then, Gengar suddenly emerged from his shadow and licked him.

The showboating Julian was instantly paralyzed.

He didn't even get to stay cool for three whole seconds.

"Damn it, you little ghost—take this Energy Cannon!"

After using a Cheri Berry to cure the paralysis, Julian fired a series of Aura Spheres at Gengar, forcing it to "retreat" step by step.

Finally, Gengar collapsed onto the ground, looking at Julian "weakly."

"Gen… gar…"

Gengar: "Brave warrior, you win."

With that, its body dissolved into a wisp of black smoke and slowly vanished.

"Hmph! Justice prevails!"

Julian snorted smugly—only for his legs to give way the very next second. Thankfully, Lucario was there to catch him in time.

"I'm out of Aura… Lucario, give me a refill."

He'd gotten a bit too carried away playing around and accidentally drained every last drop of Aura from his body. A wave of exhaustion immediately washed over him.

"Luca…"

Lucario: "I'm so done. Just end this world already."

Zeraora felt that Julian was incredibly childish.

"Energy Cannon"? Please. That name didn't even held a candle to its signature move—"Thunderclap Lightning Invincible Mega Impact." Now that had a ring to it.

This guy had zero talent for naming moves. Next time, Zeraora would have to teach him properly.

"Slow~"

Slowking: "Lunch is ready."

Just as Lucario finished "recharging" Julian, Slowking had finished preparing the meal.

"Slowking, say 'Your Highness, please come eat,' or I won't eat."

Still riding the high from earlier, Julian started acting up again.

[T/N: I think he's still high from last time's wine.]

"Slow?"

Slowking: "Say what again?"

"Haha—kidding, I was just kidding!"

A shiver ran down Julian's spine, and his rationality instantly returned. He quickly flashed an awkward grin before hurrying over to the table.

"Mage~"

Magearna handed Julian a bowl of rice.

Slowking had made four dishes and a soup for lunch.

"Slowking, why is there Berry in every single dish?"

As Julian ate, he noticed that although all the dishes included Berries, the taste was quite different from before.

"Slow~"

Slowking: "These are Berries given to me by that Ambipom. Humans can eat them too, so I tried using them in cooking."

"No wonder… but next time, use fewer Berries. I still prefer meat."

Julian was a pure meat-lover—he couldn't go a meal without it. If there was no meat, he wouldn't even have an appetite.

"Slow~"

Slowking nodded.

It took Julian's dietary preferences very seriously—after all, its main responsibility was taking care of his daily needs.

Of course, it wouldn't listen to unhealthy suggestions.

For example:

"Slowking, I want to pour a bottle of cola into my rice. I saw on TikTok that cola rice tastes great."

Celebi and Jirachi, who were also eating, immediately looked up, their eyes lighting up.

Cola rice? How had they never thought of that before?

"Slow~"

Slowking lightly tapped Julian on the head with its chopsticks.

"Unless I die, you will never eat something like that."

Cola rice—what kind of cursed food was that?

Slowking's serious expression made Julian not to say anything further.

Though Celebi and Jirachi exchanged a glance, silently communicating.

Celebi: "Let's find a chance to try cola rice later."

Jirachi: "Agreed."
