Chapter 854: Chapter 1071: Skill OrbChapter 855: Chapter 1072: Lucario
Around three days later, Julian had fully explored the Ursa's Ring, and just as he had guessed earlier, he didn't find a single Ultimate treasure—not even any sub-Ultimate treasures.
The "drop rate" in the Ursa's Ring was indeed much lower than in other areas.
However, the overall strength of the Pokémon here was significantly higher than elsewhere. Over these few days of exploration, Julian had already discovered ten Pseudo-Champion level Pokémon, not to mention the over sixty Elite-level ones—an astonishing number.
So unless one had Pseudo-Champion tier strength, it was best not to come here, and even then, it should be at the peak of Pseudo-Champion level. Otherwise, if you were just at the early-stage, the danger was still quite high.
These ten Pseudo-Champion Pokémon had pretty much divided up most of the Ursa's Ring, with the strongest being that Bewear.
On the fourth day, Julian had already left the Ursa's Ring and arrived at a completely new area.
But after flying for most of the day, Julian didn't see any Pokémon in this mountainous forest region.
"It looks like we've already reached the King's Domain of the Crimson Mirelands," Julian remarked.
This scene was just like the Grandtree Arena of Kleavor before—there wasn't a single Pokémon in the entire King's Domain.
Now this region also didn't have a single Pokémon. If it were a normal place, that would definitely be impossible, so this region must be the King's Domain of the Crimson Mirelands—the Brava Arena.
And from what he had learned from several Pseudo-Champion Pokémon in other areas, their king was a Lilligant.
"Finally!"
Suddenly, a huge red dot appeared on the Dowsing Machine.
This was undoubtedly a World-class treasure.
"Julian, how about you give this treasure to me? If I use it, I can definitely take that Bewear down!"
Celebi stared at the red dot on the Dowsing Machine, its eyes filled with anticipation as it looked at Julian.
It seemed this guy still had some pride, knowing that dignity and reputation had to be earned back by oneself. Even though Lucario had defeated the opponent, in the end, it wasn't Celebi's own victory.
"Sure, but you can't eat fried chicken, fries, cola, milk tea, chips, spicy food, or barbecue for a year."
"Never mind, I don't want it anymore. Better give it to a someone who needs it more."
Celebi quickly shook its head. No way—going a year without fried chicken? It couldn't even last three days. Giving up that would be harder than quitting drugs.
And on top of not having fried chicken, it couldn't eat any of the other stuff either? What kind of life would that even be?
What World-class treasure—could it possibly compare to its ultimate couch potato combo of fried chicken, fries, and cola?
When it whipped out that combo, no treasure in the world could hold a candle to it.
Julian's expression remained unchanged, but inside, he scoffed. How did a useless slob like you even have the nerve to want a World-class treasure?
But if he had rejected it outright, this guy would definitely have thrown a tantrum, so it was best to let Celebi give up on its own.
"Celebi, why didn't you agree?"
Jirachi's voice carried a hint of disappointment, subtle but unmistakable to Celebi.
"Hmph, Jirachi, are you thinking that if I agreed, all the snacks in Gengar's stash would be yours, and no one would compete with you for fried chicken and fries anymore?"
Celebi snorted. It knew exactly what its little buddy was scheming.
"I didn't think that!"
Jirachi panicked as its little plan was exposed but tried to play it cool with a calm shake of its head. Sadly, its acting skills were seriously lacking.
Even Nebby could tell it was faking and let out soft giggles.
Ignoring Celebi and Jirachi, Julian was rapidly closing in on the World-class treasure.
In a few minutes, he arrived right above the location of the red dot.
"Hidden inside a mountain..."
In front of him stood a small mountain, roughly three to four hundred meters tall, and according to the Dowsing Machine, the World-class treasure was inside this mountain.
"Steelix."
As the Poké Ball opened, a massive Steelix over ten meters long emerged. Julian tossed the Dowsing Machine to it, and Steelix immediately caught it in its mouth.
"Find that thing," Julian said.
Steelix was already familiar with this routine, and with a nod, it burrowed straight into the mountain.
"Metagross, keep an eye on the surroundings," Julian added.
It wasn't that he feared other Pokémon—he was just wary of that Lilligant. As the King of this region, it had probably already sensed his presence.
He also didn't know about this Lilligant's temperament. If it played dirty and launched a sneak attack—
A Champion-level Pokémon ambushing him, especially one with the King form—if it succeeded, he might really be done for.
"Meta~"
Metagross nodded. Even without Julian's reminder, it had already extended its psychic senses outward, as long as any Pokémon entered its perception range, there was absolutely no way it could escape.
"If this World-class treasure is hidden like the Dragon Soul was, Steelix might not be able to find it."
Julian muttered to himself, suddenly recalling how the Dragon Soul had remained invisible to all Pokémon except himself until he had defeated the Kleavor.
If this World-class treasure was also like that, then Steelix definitely wouldn't be able to find it.
After waiting for about seven or eight minutes, the mountain began to tremble slightly. And the next moment, Steelix emerged from within a rock.
"So? Did you find it?" Julian asked quickly.
Steelix nodded and moved its coiled tail toward him. Seeing this, Julian immediately understood and held out his hand.
A moment later, as Steelix loosened its tail, a tiny orb, no larger than a thumb, dropped into Julian's palm.
[Skill Orb (Fighting-type): Grants a deeper understanding of already learned Fighting-type moves, enables learning all Fighting-type moves, increases the power of Fighting-type moves by 50% (stackable with other power bonuses), increases the critical-hit rate of Fighting-type moves by 20%, which could also be stacked with other crit-rate bonuses.]
Reading the description provided by his Probing Eyes, Julian's eyes widened slightly.
Even with his prior experience with the Dragon Soul, he was still somewhat taken aback by the sheer potency of this World-class treasure's enhancement.
"Something like this... there should probably be eighteen such treasures, right?"
Noticing the "(Fighting-type)" label with the Skill Orb, he wondered if there were corresponding World-class treasures for Steel, Dragon, Fire, and other types as well.
Otherwise, why specify the type in parentheses?
"Dad, give it to me!"
Celebi, who had previously given up hope, suddenly flared up again.
"It's only suitable for Fighting-types, so don't even think about it."
Julian shot it a sidelong glance. This troublemaker really just couldn't let it go.

In the past, when Julian obtained a treasure that boosted a certain stat, if another treasure also boosted the same stat, their effects would not stack; only the one with the greater boost would take effect.
For example, if one treasure increased Defense by 10%, and another increased it by 15%, and both were used by the same Pokémon, only the 15% boost would apply.
Of course, it wasn't that the treasure offering a 10% boost would than become useless—at the very least, it would still enhance the Pokémon's foundation and potential.
The stats boosted by these treasures were generally limited to move power, defense, speed, stamina, HP, and so on, though they could be broken down further into finer categories.
But overall, they were quite similar.
So Julian's Pokémon, such as Metagross and Aggron, who had used many Ultimate treasures—Metagross alone had definitely used over ten.
Yet when the Probing Eyes displayed Metagross's information, only a few notes were shown. This was because the effects of some treasures were overshadowed by the stronger ones, so the Probing Eyes didn't display them.
Now, the stat boosts provided by this World-class treasure in front of him, Skill Orb, were already quite terrifying—increasing the power of Fighting-type moves by 50% and the critical-hit rate by 20%—it offered two types of enhancements.
But most crucially, these effects could stack.

Note: Having used the Ultimate Fighting-type treasure, Heart's Tear, the critical hit rate has increased by 30%, and the chance of avoiding critical hits has also increased by 30%. Accuracy of all moves increased by 10%.
Note: Used Burst Seed to enhance Fighting-type moves by 200%, consuming a large amount of stamina and entering a Burst State. The duration depends on remaining stamina until exhaustion. If activated forcibly when stamina is depleted, it greatly depletes inner energy reserves. Insufficient reserves may lead to complete destruction of the foundation.
---
This was Lucario's current status.
If this World-class treasure was used, then after Lucario activates the Burst State, its Fighting-type moves' power would temporarily increase by 250%, and its critical-hit rate would rise to 50%.
The temporary increase in Fighting-type moves' power was due to the Burst State, so it could be set aside for now.
But if Julian later obtained a treasure that permanently boosted Fighting-type moves' power by even 10%, and paired it with this World-class treasure, then Lucario's Fighting-type moves' power would increase by at least 60%.
As for the critical-hit rate—50%—that would mean if Lucario landed a hit, there was a 50% chance that it would strike a vital spot.
And regardless of whether it was a vital area or not, once the critical-hit rate was triggered, even non-vital spots would become vital.
A 50% chance… that really was terrifying.
What was a critical hit? It meant that even at full health, a single strike could reduce you to half or near-zero health.
It was like getting randomly stabbed in the kidney or a major artery.
This World-class treasure also allowed Lucario to learn all Fighting-type moves, expanding its movepool—it could even learn exclusive moves of other Pokémon, like Sirfetch'd's Meteor Assault.
Not only was that move powerful—it also looked extremely cool.
However, learning the move wouldn't be automatic. It would require a Technical Machine (TM) or direct instructions from a Sirfetch'd. Only then could it be mastered.
Pop!
Julian released Lucario.
"Here."
He handed the World-class treasure in his hand to Lucario.
"It's time for you to become a Champion."
Back when he had seen Lucario reach peak Pseudo-Champion, Julian had already thought that it shouldn't take long for it to become a Champion.
Little did he expect the opportunity to come so swiftly—a World-class Fighting-type treasure, practically served on a silver platter by fate itself.
Just like Dragonite, becoming a Champion through a World-class treasure would deepen Lucario's foundation and potential.
"Luca!"
Lucario nodded. The energy within the orb in front of it was already very restrained, yet its body was crying out relentlessly—Eat it, consume it.
This was a craving emanating from its very being.
After swallowing the orb, Lucario felt an overwhelming drowsiness wash over it. Despite its strong willpower, it couldn't resist the urge. Its eyelids grew heavy, its body swayed unsteadily, and the last thing it saw through the haze was Julian walking toward it.
Just as it was about to collapse, it was caught by Julian.
"Sleep now. When you wake up, you'll already be a Champion."
With that, he recalled Lucario into its Poké Ball.
For many Pokémon, major breakthroughs or healing of serious injuries often required deep sleep.
Dragonite's ascension to the Champion tier was like this, and now Lucario's breakthrough would follow the same pattern.
"So envious… Sure enough, a Pokémon like me really doesn't deserve World-class treasures, huh?" Celebi draped itself over Julian's head, its tone dripping with sarcasm.
'You really don't.'
"Good that you know," Julian replied flatly.
Those words made Celebi's face stiffen instantly. 'I was just saying—how could you actually agree?!' Annoyed, it started tugging at Julian's hair with its tiny hands.
Though it didn't dare pull too hard, or Julian would spank it.
If they were at home, it might have risked it, since if Julian tried to punish it, it could just run off to some shop, act cute, and those "foolish humans" would buy it plenty of snacks and drinks.
But here in the secret realm, if it ran away, what would it eat?
Fried chicken and fries were its soul, its life, its everything.
And in the secret realm, Julian held its lifeline. So if it really angered him, it would immediately start calling him "Dad" and admit its mistake.
Julian was well aware of Celebi's little thoughts, but he didn't bother with it. And his hair didn't hurt anyway—so if it wanted to pull, let it. The little troublemaker was probably genuinely upset.
But Julian also wasn't about to indulge it. Giving it the World-class treasure? Not a chance.
"Dragonite, let's go."
Julian climbed onto Dragonite's back, planning to continue exploring the Brava Arena. He had expected the Lilligant to show up when he dug up the World-class treasure.
But even after Lucario had consumed it, there was still no sign of it. So it probably didn't frequent this area—or maybe it wasn't even aware a World-class treasure was hidden here.
With a gentle flap of its wings, Dragonite turned into a streak of light and vanished from the spot.
