Chapter 866: Chapter 1083: Outside World

> "Did you watch the morning news? A Primal Secret Realm also appeared in the southern part of Anglia."

> "I didn't watch it, but my Moments, Shock News pages, and TikTok are all telling me this."

> "This is already the third Primal Secret Realm in the past half year."

> "I thought Primal Secret Realms were unique to our country."

> "To be honest, upstairs, if it weren't for Champion Walker, this Primal Secret Realm wouldn't even belong to Drakoria."

> "Drakoria, Celestria, Volkaria, and now the Anglia—that's four Primal Secret Realms. Will more keep appearing?"

> "Definitely. I feel like this is just the beginning."

> "If more Primal Secret Realms appear, will they be opened to the public?"

> "Three peak Pseudo-Champions from Celestria died in A Primal Secret Realm, and even their strongest Champion, Karl, lost a Champion-level Pokémon. Do you really think you'd survive if they opened it?"

---

During the eight months since Julian had been inside, the biggest development in the outside world had been the emergence of more Primal Secret Realms.

In the first month after Julian entered, a Primal Secret Realm appeared in the Central Forest of Celestria.

In the third month, another Primal Secret Realm emerged in the Siberian Plains of Volkaria.

And in the eighth month—just yesterday—a Primal Secret Realm appeared in the southern part of Anglia.

Countries had initially envied Drakoria for having what they thought was a unique Secret Realm. Using various means, they managed to gather some intelligence about it.

They learned that the energy within the Primal Secret Realm helped Pokémon break through bottlenecks. Just look at the second batch of Champions Drakoria sent in—their main Pokémon had improved by one or even two levels.

And they had only stayed for two months to achieve such significant progress.

Normally, for Champion-level Pokémon, leveling up even once took years, and the progress slowed down the further they advanced.

Yet look at those Champions from Drakoria—after going in once, all of them improved. Damn, how could that be tolerated?

Drakoria already had Julian sitting right on top of the global food chain. Not only did they have more Champions than anyone else, but now their quality was improving too.

At this rate, they might as well rename the planet.

Every nation was anxious, but there was nothing they could do—Drakoria was simply too strong. Their only option was to cooperate and see if they could gain even a tiny share of the benefits.

Drakoria agreed, but only with nations that were on good terms with them.

As for Celestria, Maplia, and others—get lost. What business did you have here?

The countries rejected were both furious and desperate—especially Celestria.

When Celestria learned that Volkaria had already secured entry slots, their newly inaugurated president nearly flipped the table.

Volkaria and Celestria? Bad blood. A lot of it.

By now, Drakoria was undeniably the world's top power, far ahead of Celestria in second place. But still, second place was second place—stronger than Volkaria in third.

But now this third-place nation was about to gain access to the Primal Secret Realm. Who was to say they wouldn't come out stronger and leapfrog into second?

That would be a disaster. Especially since Volkaria was famously hot-blooded—dubbed the "Fighting Nation"—and not exactly known for restraint.

If they actually overtook Celestria in strength, war wouldn't be far behind.

Just when Celestria was panicking, not knowing what to do, fortune rained down on them.

Overnight, a Primal Secret Realm appeared in their northern forests.

For Celestria, it felt like several Champions had fallen straight out of the sky.

Their allies were thrilled too, hoping the big brother would share some of the spoils.

Without delay, Celestria hurriedly organized an expedition team to enter the secret realm—one hundred people in total.

Among them was Karl, their strongest Champion—though he was the only Champion-level trainer in the group. The remaining ninety-nine ranged from Elite-level trainers to peak Pseudo-Champions, along with academic experts from various fields.

They went in full of confidence and lofty ambitions, thinking that when they came out, Champion Karl's strength would definitely improve—and if luck favored them, perhaps several peak Pseudo-Champions would even break through to the Champion tier.

But a month later, forty dust-covered survivors stumbled out of the secret realm's portal.

As for Champion Karl? Forget improvement—he had lost one of his Champion-level Pokémon. Three of their peak Pseudo-Champion trainers were dead, and the majority of their Elite-level trainers had also perished. Among the scholars, only a handful remained.

Not that it was all bad news: out of the five peak Pseudo-Champions who entered, two had survived—and one of them had even broken through to the Champion tier.

Three peak Pseudo-Champions and a Champion-level Pokémon lost in exchange for a single new Champion—not to mention the Elite-level casualties. Whether this was a win or a loss, it was hard to say.

If Champion Karl hadn't lost a Champion-level Pokémon, this would undoubtedly have been a profitable venture.

After all, statistically speaking, only about one in ten peak Pseudo-Champions ever managed to break through to the Champion tier.

Compared to Celestria's trial-and-error approach, Drakoria was undeniably far more fortunate.

They had Julian to pave the way—danger zones, locations of powerful Pokémon, all marked clearly in advance.

Pokémon at the Elite-level and above rarely strayed far from their territories.

So as long as you didn't deliberately intrude into their domains, you were generally safe.

But Celestria had no Julian. And to make matters worse, the zone they entered contained a formidable Champion-level Pokémon.

An ordinary Champion-level Pokémon would have been easily captured by Karl, but this one was particularly strong. It took the self-destruction of one of his own Champion-level Pokémon just to allow the survivors to barely escape.

Celestria's ordeal sent a chill through the international community.

Initial reports from Drakoria had painted the Primal Secret Realms as blessed lands for powering up, devoid of apparent danger. After all, every Drakorian trainer and researcher who entered had walked out alive.

Only later did it sink in: Drakoria had Julian. They had intel before they even stepped in.

Celestria, by contrast, entered blind, with no equivalent nuclear deterrent like Julian.

Still, their first expedition yielded a Champion. It was like playing a gacha game for the first time—you spent a fortune, your wallet was weeping, but then you pulled ten legendaries draws in a row—the pain suddenly didn't feel so bad anymore.

Now, after reorganizing, Celestria was planning a second expedition into the Primal Secret Realm, and Karl would once again lead the charge.

First, he had experience. Second, he still had several Champion-level Pokémon left. So if danger struck again, well—one more Self-Destruct could be arranged.

Karl: '**beep**beep**'
