Chapter 915: Chapter 1132: Trainer

Deoxys, standing in the field, watched its companion chatting animatedly with that "villain" and called out somewhat angrily, "Are we fighting or not?!"

Was this the time to chat? This was the time to fight.

Julian ended his conversation with Deoxys, looked over at the other Deoxys, and said calmly, "Since you're so eager to get beaten, I'll grant your wish."

"Lucario, go!"

As soon as the words fell, Lucario moved like a loaded spring, launching instantly. With a whoosh, its body vanished from its spot, leaving only a trail of dust behind.

Deoxys reacted quickly, instantly shifting from its Normal Forme to its Defense Forme.

BOOM!!

A heavy punch, like a rocket launcher, slammed into the shield formed by its arm in Defense Forme, immense force pouring into it.

The impact made Deoxys's arm go numb, and its body was forced to retreat several steps.

But fortunately, it still managed to block the attack.

"Not bad."

Julian nodded.

His comment instantly irritated Deoxys.

'Do I need your evaluation?'

It shot Julian an annoyed glare before changing forms again.

From Defense Forme, it switched to Attack Forme.

Deoxys's form changes were almost completed in an instant.

In Attack Forme, powerful psychic waves erupted from its body. The previously invisible psychic force instantly became tangible, forming rings of faint blue ripples in the space around it.

It looked as if space itself was distorting.

The entire battlefield was flooded with its psychic energy, leaving Lucario nowhere to hide.

Although using Psychic in this way didn't maximize its destructive power, it could place layer upon layer of invisible shackles on Lucario.

Lucario's movements undoubtedly became much slower, as if it were moving through water, each action requiring more effort than usual.

Deoxys maintained the psychic field, and the crystal on its chest began glowing with a golden light.

A Hyper Beam shot across the battlefield.

Due to the psychic restraints, Lucario's speed had been greatly reduced, and with a bang, it was hit directly by the Hyper Beam.

Just as the Hyper Beam ended, Deoxys hurled several Psyshocks, all of which also struck Lucario.

"Not bad at all."

Seeing this, Julian didn't feel anxious even though Lucario had been hit repeatedly. Instead, he looked at Deoxys with a hint of appreciation.

This guy was multitasking—maintaining the psychic field while attacking, with no drop in the intensity of the restraint during the assault—which was impressive.

Deoxys beside Julian commented.

But to pull it off as smoothly as this Deoxys did, with neither move interfering with the other—that was not something training alone could accomplish. It primarily came down to talent.

"It's over."

Deoxys swept its arms, forming a crescent-shaped attack.

It was Psycho Cut.

The ground beneath the Psycho Cut continuously cracked open, and the air let out a sharp, tearing scream.

Deoxys glanced at Julian, throwing him a victorious look.

It believed the battle was already decided.

"Lucario—Burst State," Julian said with a light smile.

"Luca!"

Lucario let out a soft cry. As the words fell, a tremendously powerful aura suddenly erupted from within its body. And this surging aura instantly shattered the surrounding psychic field.

Burst Seed increased the power of Fighting-type moves by 200%, but it consumed a large amount of stamina and granted a Burst State.

The duration of the Burst State depended on the user's stamina and lasted until the stamina was exhausted. If forcibly activated when stamina was already depleted, it would severely damage the user's foundation—and if the foundation was insufficient, it could even destroy it entirely.

Julian had obtained the Burst Seed for quite some time now, but he had only let Lucario use it privately before, just to observe the enhanced state.

Using it in an actual battle—this was the first time.

"Eight Inner Gates—Open!"

Julian even jokingly added.

This earned him a puzzled look from the Deoxys beside him.

'Wasn't it called Burst State? Why did it suddenly become the Eight Gates?'

In Burst State, Lucario's strength increased dramatically. Facing the incoming Psycho Cut, it simply swung its left hand toward it.

The Psycho Cut was instantly nullified.

Seeing this, Deoxys was shocked, and a bad premonition surged in its heart.

The next moment, it realized Lucario had vanished. It immediately tried to switch to its Speed Forme.

A Bullet Punch, carrying terrifying power, abruptly appeared before Deoxys, slamming directly into its left shoulder.

Lucario didn't strike the crystal on its chest, because it was afraid of breaking it.

Bullet Punch, Mega Punch, Thunder Punch, Brick Break, and a series of Fighting-type moves were all unleashed onto Deoxys.

It was like a punching bag.

Even when it tried to dodge, Lucario's rain-like barrage of attacks kept striking its body.

Under the unending assault, it couldn't even muster its psychic powers, let alone evade.

Flesh from its arms, legs, waist, and other areas was constantly being blasted away by Lucario.

Seeing this scene, Jade was so frightened that she quickly closed her eyes.

"Jade, open your eyes."

Suddenly, Julian looked sternly at Jade.

"Brother, I'm scared," Jade shook her head.

"If you want to become a trainer, this much should be nothing. So if you don't even have the courage to keep your eyes open, then you should just settle for being the little princess of the Walker family."

"Brother can protect you now—and I can also protect you for your entire life."

Julian didn't mean to blame Jade. He was simply stating his reason for doing this.

With him around, Jade could happily live as the Walker family's little princess. She didn't need to endure sun, wind, rain, or the life-threatening dangers of being a Trainer.

In fact, deep down, Julian didn't want Jade to become a trainer at all.

After all, being a trainer wasn't an easy path. His little sister only needed to enjoy a life of comfort.

"Brother…"

As if sensing Julian's thoughts, Jade slowly opened her tightly shut eyes.

Her small face was pale as she looked at Deoxys's broken body being battered by Lucario. Her body trembled slightly, but the determination in her eyes grew stronger and stronger.
