Chapter 931: Birth

Chapter 931: Birth

Although Julian had left, the satellites from various countries remained locked on the area. Aside from Celebi and Jirachi, who seemed to have been left behind by Julian, nations were also hoping to use their satellites to scan for any physical traces—such as tissue samples—that the Black and White Dragons, Mewtwo, and Yveltal might have left behind.

---

> "Celebi looks really angry. Is it because Champion Walker left it behind?"

> "Their silhouettes look so pitiful, like two abandoned puppies…"

> "Don’t cry, don’t cry."

> "Champion Walker has just personally demonstrated to us what "out with the old, in with the new" really means."

> "Why did Jirachi take out 500 bucks? Judging by its proud expression, that must be a fortune to it."

> "According to insider info, Celebi and Jirachi get a daily allowance of 100 bucks each."

---

Soon after, Metagross arrived.

"Meta~"

"Hmph! Even if Julian sent you to bring us back, we won’t go. Jirachi and I have already decided to run away from home!"

Celebi tilted its head up, looking at Metagross with a firm expression, as if it was truly determined to run away.

"Meta~"

Metagross took out a bucket of fried chicken.

Metagross: "If you come back, there’s also cola and milk tea."

Jirachi looked at Celebi, signaling that it would follow Celebi’s lead.

Celebi glanced back at Jirachi, thinking, 'Hurry up and say something—give me an out so we can just eat this already!'

Unfortunately, Jirachi completely missed the cue in Celebi’s eyes.

Even Metagross was a bit surprised. Had Celebi really changed? Was it genuinely angry at Julian this time? It had even brought out the ultimate weapon—the family-size fried chicken bucket—and yet Celebi still didn’t seem tempted.

"If you’re not coming back, then I’ll just head home first."

Metagross started to put the bucket away, ready to leave. After all, if these two were really upset, their anger would likely fade in a few days—especially once they ran out of money—they’d come back on their own.

"Hmph! Since you’re begging me… I suppose I can reluctantly agree."

Metagross: 'Is this thing deaf or something?'

Not bothering to argue further, it used Teleport to take Celebi and Jirachi back.

"Why are we here?"

Celebi looked around. They weren’t at home but at Henry’s house.

"Alice is about to give birth."

Metagross explained.

"Oh, and where’s that blockhead?"

Celebi didn’t see Julian anywhere. It had already planned exactly how Julian would have to make it up to it—nothing less than a collector’s edition skin set would do.

"He's sleeping with Mew."

Metagross’s calm words instantly made Celebi explode.

"That homewrecker! That b*tch! Ahhhh!"

Celebi completely lost it. Not only had Julian not apologized to it while it was still furious, but he was actually sleeping with that homewrecker!

This was nothing short of adding insult to injury.

"Celebi, aren’t you eating? It won’t taste as good once it gets cold."

Jirachi munched on the fried chicken bucket, its little face glowing with satisfaction.

"Hmph! I’ll deal with that blockhead after I finish eating!"

Celebi snorted coldly, then joined Jirachi in the battle, the two of them joining forces to annihilate the Family Bucket.

Nearby, Henry’s butler thoughtfully provided them with cola and milk tea—whichever they preferred. There were even over a dozen flavors of milk tea, both iced and hot.

This treatment was even better than that of Love or Slowking.

Julian slept deeply and soundly, especially since he was hugging the sweet-smelling Mew, making his sleep all the more comfortable.

Seeing that it couldn’t get away, Mew simply closed its eyes and went to sleep as well.

No one knew how long he slept before Love’s voice reached Julian’s ears.

"Dee~"

Love: "Boy, wake up, wake up."

Love looked at Julian with a pained heart. Even in his deep sleep, his face still showed signs of exhaustion. It hadn’t wanted to wake him at all, but it knew how eagerly Julian had been looking forward to the birth of his sister.

Now that Alice’s child had been born, it came to rouse Julian.

Love’s voice—along with Slowking’s—served as a better alarm clock for Julian than any device. Hearing them while sleeping always meant: time to get up.

"Ah… Love, is it time for breakfast?"

Julian drowsily opened his eyes, still half-asleep.

This made Love’s heart ache even more.

"Dee!"

Love: "The child has already been born."

"The child—my little sister is born!?"

Julian finally reacted, hurriedly getting up while still holding a half-asleep Mew.

"Love, you and Mom and Dad are all back, right?"

Love nodded.

Earlier, while Julian was holding off Yveltal, Jake had taken Love and Tina away from Babath, accompanied by Julian’s Moltres.

While Julian was resting, they received a call from John, informing them that Alice was going into labor, so they immediately rushed over.

By the time Julian hurried over, Alice’s bedside was already surrounded by his family.

His parents, his uncle, his grandfather, and his great-uncle were all there.

Although Alice on the bed looked weak, she was gazing happily at the child in her arms.

Julian leaned in, eager to look at his sister, only to say:

"Ah, why is she so… ugly?"

He had expected his sister to be the most adorable thing in the world, but the baby before him was wrinkled, and all scrunched up.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Newborn babies haven’t developed yet. You were even uglier when you were born!" Tina gently tapped the back of his head.

The joy of welcoming the second third-generation member of the Walker family had temporarily overshadowed the shock of Julian defeating Yveltal.

Everyone’s attention was focused on the infant.

"Mew~"

Mew curiously looked at the newborn in Alice’s arms.

"So, Mew, what do you think?"

Julian walked over and carried Mew closer to the baby.

Mew poked the baby’s tiny cheek with its small hand, full of curiosity.

Jake and the others shifted their gazes from the baby to Mew—after all, this was a First-class Legendary.

"Mew?"

Mew: "Is this your little sister?"

"Yep, she’ll definitely become a great trainer like me one day."

"Mew~"

Mew: "Then I’ll give her a gift."

Mew thought for a moment, then pointed its little hand toward the baby. A small mote of light emerged from its fingertip and melted into the baby’s chest.

[Mew’s Blessing: Pokémon Affinity Physique—Easier to gain the trust of Pokémon, can communicate with Pokémon heart-to-heart, and possesses the ability to heal Pokémon.]

'Isn’t this just the Viridian Force?'

Seeing the description, Julian froze.

"Thanks, Mew."

With this buff from the start, his little sister could undoubtedly go further on her path as a trainer. Julian naturally felt delighted, hugging Mew tightly and rubbing his cheek against it.

Although the others didn’t know exactly what Mew had done, they had all seen the faint light at its fingertip.

If they hadn’t known about Mew’s relationship with Julian, they definitely would have stopped it.

And judging by Julian’s reaction, Mew must have bestowed some kind of blessing on the baby.

That made everyone smile even more.
