Chapter 942: Chapter 1159: Exchange
Chapter 942: Chapter 1159: Exchange
Julian's disdainful tone was naturally heard by the Master on the other end of the phone, and she knew that he didn't believe a word she had just said.
In fact, she did know about that incident—and it had even been carried out with her approval.
She also knew very well that Julian couldn't be killed by such methods. The reason she still allowed it was simply to give him a warning.
Just as Julian had guessed earlier, it was meant to mess with his mindset.
To make him constantly worry about himself and the safety of his family.
And indeed, Julian had been made somewhat tense by their actions. It wasn't for himself, but for his family—otherwise, he wouldn't have sent Metagross to personally protect his mother.
But what she hadn't expected at all was that Julian would bring out Xerneas.
As a result, the situation had developed far beyond her expectations.
"Champion Walker, let's talk about the deal first—and about the item needed to awaken Xerneas."
For many slumbering First-class Legendaries, there were usually three ways to wake them up.
The first was to let them wake up naturally.
The second was to forcibly wake them up through violence—but the consequence would be facing a First-class Legendary with serious "waking-up anger," and the outcome didn't need much explanation.
The third was to use a corresponding item to awaken them. Using this method made it much easier to gain the favor of the First-class Legendary.
Whenever a First-class Legendary appeared, its corresponding item would often appear as well.
The most typical examples were Groudon and Kyogre's Orbs, as well as Dialga and Palkia's Orbs. In fact, many First-class Legendary seemed to have associated items in the form of Orbs.
Since the Master of Organization Y wanted Xerneas to grant her eternal life, she could only choose the third method.
So even if she found Xerneas's resting place using the location Julian provided, without the relevant awakening item, it would be useless.
"I can give you the item, but in exchange for the First-class Legendary within your organization."
Julian smiled slightly: "One for one."
When Pidgeot had died, Deoxys had sensed the aura of a First-class Legendary from it. That meant Organization Y still had a First-class Legendary under their control.
Maybe not the First-class Legendary itself—but at least part of its power was in their hands.
"Julian, Xerneas is meant to be exchanged for the Wynn family members," the voice on the other end said coldly.
"Are you insane? A mere Wynn family—are they worth me using Xerneas to trade for them? You don't really take me for a fool, do you?"
Julian shot back just as bluntly.
The Master fell silent for a moment. She had indeed been treating Julian like a fool.
"Your silence just makes me even angrier."
Black lines appeared on Julian's forehead. Had he acted too convincingly—had she really taken him for a fool?
"A trade like that is impossible. I can take a step back—tell me Xerneas's location, and I'll hand over those two illegitimate children of the Wynn family to you."
She took a deep breath, realizing she had oversimplified things. If he were to give her a First-class Legendary just for two insignificant members of the Wynn family, then Julian really would be a fool.
"Deal," Julian agreed without hesitation.
"How do we make the exchange?" she asked.
"You pick a location. Bring the people to me there—and don't tamper with their souls in any way, or the deal is off."
"You're letting me choose the location? Aren't you afraid I'll prepare something in advance?"
"Heh, if you really have the ability, feel free to try," Julian said with a sneer.
Everyone in the world knew he had three First-class Legendaries, but they didn't know he also had two Rayquaza summoning cards—one of which was even a shiny.
Deep down, Julian actually hoped the other side would try something. That way, he could gain further insight into Organization Y's hidden strength.
Who knows, he might even get the chance to cross paths with their mysterious First-class Legendary.
"I'll send the location to your phone shortly. If this deal goes smoothly, I hope Champion Walker can engage in deeper cooperation with our organization."
With that, the other side hung up.
"Tch, you really wanted to hang up first, huh?"
Julian muttered, somewhat annoyed as he lowered his phone.
Not long after, the transaction location was sent to his phone.
It was a set of coordinates.
Opening it, he found it was on an island somewhere in the North Pacific.
The location was quite far from Drakoria, and Julian didn't believe it was any kind of Organization Y's base.
Unless they were really that stupid, they wouldn't set the transaction location anywhere connected to them.
"What a godforsaken place. Julian, are we going there tomorrow?"
Celebi leaned its head over, looking at the map on the phone.
Aside from the island itself, everything around it was ocean—most likely an uninhabited island.
"You can choose to stay at home."
Julian closed the map and continued scrolling through TikTok.
"No, I'd rather go with you. I won't feel at ease if you went alone," Celebi said with a serious expression.
Julian glanced at it, then said, "Deoxys, go check that place out."
Watching Deoxys leave, Celebi looked at Julian with disdain. Earlier, he had been saying things like "if you really have the ability, feel free to try."
"This is called being cautious," Julian said calmly.
Strategically, you despise the enemy; tactically, you take them seriously—this was something a great man had said. Julian wouldn't become arrogant just because he had three First-class Legendaries and two Rayquaza summoning cards.
Not to mention, those summoning cards were single-use—once used, they were gone. Naturally, they should only be used when absolutely necessary.
Talking big was fine, but proper preparations were still necessary.
Otherwise, if he really got careless and things went wrong, the consequences would be disastrous.
"Celebi, I think Julian is right. That woman is a bad person. We can't trust bad people—we should always be careful," Jirachi jumped out and said eagerly.
"Julian, if something really happens just make a wish to me—I can make that woman die."
"That won't be necessary."
Julian gently pinched Jirachi's cheek.
At the same time, he realized that Jirachi's wish-granting ability was incredibly versatile.
While overly extreme wishes couldn't be fulfilled, things like making someone die, ruining someone's life, making them stay single forever, or even making them fall in love with someone—
For Jirachi, such bizarre wishes were no problem at all.
Julian even suspected that if he wished for Celebi to change from genderless into male or female, Jirachi could probably make that happen.
With that thought, Julian's gaze toward Celebi turned a bit peculiar.
"Wh-what are you looking at?"
Celebi immediately looked at Julian with vigilance.
This blockhead was definitely thinking of messing with it again.
