Chapter 2022
Chapter 2022
9:00 a.m.
Dong Xuebing stormed into the kindergarten and immediately started beating up a teacher surnamed Zhou. No one could hold him back—not even the five or six other teachers around. They tried to restrain him but failed.
One punch.
Two kicks.
Teacher Zhou’s face was swollen from the blows.
Finally, a few strong male teachers rushed out. One of them, heavyset and dark-skinned, probably weighing over 180 pounds, instinctively ran up to defend his colleague. He pushed through the crowd and reached out to grab Dong Xuebing by the collar. “Stop right there!”
But before he could grab him, Dong Xuebing moved like a shadow. With a powerful kick, he sent the 180-pound man flying through the air with a thud as he crashed hard onto the concrete courtyard ground.
Seeing this, the other male teachers froze in fear. They were all stunned. “Damn, what kind of kick was that?!”
No one could stop him.Dong Xuebing was in a rage. He attacked anyone who tried to interfere—friend or foe, it didn’t matter.
Some teachers quickly called the police. Others dialed emergency services. The female teacher in charge of Little Class 1, also called Qu Yunxuan and Luan Xiaoping, whose phone numbers were listed as emergency contacts. Every child was required to have at least two contacts when enrolling.
Qu Yunxuan lived nearby.
Luan Xiaoping wasn’t far either.
After getting the call from the school, the two women rushed over. Although the teacher on the phone didn’t explain the situation and just asked them to come quickly, they both knew what was going on. One was Dong Xuebing’s biological mother, who raised him from birth. The other was his old neighbor and long-time lover, who practically watched him grow up. They knew his temper well. The moment they got the call, they didn’t even need to think—Dong Xuebing must’ve caused trouble. They raced over, even arriving before the police, and found him still going berserk.
“Xuebing!”
“Xiaobing!”
Luan Xiaoping and Qu Yunxuan rushed forward.
However, Dong Xuebing ignored them and continued to beat the teacher. Who knows what condition Teacher Zhou was in by now, but it still wasn’t enough for Dong.
“What are you doing?!” Qu Yunxuan rushed over and hugged him. “Stop hitting him!”
Dong Xuebing, his face twisted in rage, shouted, “Yunxuan, let go of me! If I don’t beat him to death today—!”
Luan Xiaoping also yelled, “You little brat! Try hitting one more time! Come here right now! Stop it!”
“Mom, stay out of it! Anyone who tries to stop me today—I’m going after them too!” Dong Xuebing raged. “He dared to grab my daughter by the collar! I’ve never even laid a finger on her!”
Luan Xiaoping shouted, “I said STOP!”
Dong Xuebing didn’t listen and gave Teacher Zhou another kick while he lay limp on the ground like a dead dog.
Qu Yunxuan was angry too, but she couldn’t pull him back no matter what.
Meanwhile…
Little Qianqian had already stopped crying. Her big eyes watched her dad beat up the “bad guy.” Her tiny fists were clenched tightly, as if cheering him on.
“Qianqian, your dad is awesome,” Mingming said enviously.
Qianqian puffed up with pride and lifted her chin. “I told you! My dad is the best!”
At the hallway entrance, a plump figure emerged—it was the kindergarten principal. With the chaos going on, of course, he couldn’t stay put. A few other school leaders followed him out. Seeing that the fight had gone on for over twenty minutes and that Teacher Zhou couldn’t even cry out in pain anymore, they were both shocked and furious.
But when they saw Luan Xiaoping, their expressions changed. They exchanged glances and immediately calmed down.
“What’s going on?!”
“Stop fighting!”
“Stop it right now!”
The principal shouted several times as he approached. Seeing that Dong Xuebing wouldn’t listen, he went to Luan Xiaoping and asked respectfully, “Mrs. Luan, what’s happening here?”
Luan Xiaoping anxiously replied, “Stop him first, don’t let him hit anyone else!” But then she sighed and changed her mind. “Forget it. None of you can stop him anyway.” If a few weak teachers could stop her son, then he wouldn’t be Dong Xuebing. The difference in fighting ability wasn’t something numbers could solve.
The principal, sweating, asked, “And this person is—?”
“My son,” Luan Xiaoping replied.
“Ah?” The principal and the school officials were drenched in cold sweat. The teachers may not have known, but they were well aware of who Luan Xiaoping was—the wife of the mayor of Luan City. But even as principal, he had to do something. He stepped in to try and break it up. “Please calm down—”
Dong Xuebing turned to him. “And who are you?”
“I’m the kindergarten principal,” he replied.
Dong Xuebing got even angrier. “I was just looking for you! You’re the one in charge, huh? How did you hire this kind of teacher? Are you blind? You’re hiring people like this for a kindergarten? What kind of principal are you?” He grabbed the principal by the collar. “This bastard not only played with his phone in class but also yanked my daughter by the collar! I sent my child here to learn, not to be abused!”
Qu Yunxuan tried to pull him away. “You’re just hitting everyone now! Are you done yet?! You won’t even listen to me or Mom?”
Dong Xuebing snapped, “It doesn’t matter who shows up—no one can stop me today!”
Luan Xiaoping growled, “Yunxuan, let him be! Let the little bastard go crazy!”
But of course, Qu Yunxuan couldn’t stand by. She finally managed to pull him back a little, giving the principal a chance to avoid a beating. She knew her man—when he lost it, he’d hit anyone. He didn’t care who you were. And from what she overheard, she now had an idea what had happened. Someone had bullied Qianqian. With Dong’s temper, it’s no wonder he exploded.
The principal’s clothes were a mess, and he was soaked in cold sweat.
Dong Xuebing wasn’t done. He pointed at the principal and shouted, “It’s only because I was here today. What if I wasn’t?! My daughter would’ve been bullied, and we, as her parents, wouldn’t even know?! And you still have the nerve to call this an ‘experimental kindergarten’? Screw you! I’m telling you, this isn’t over!”
Just then, sirens wailed.
Three police cars roared into the kindergarten yard.
A female officer in uniform got out of the lead car.
The teachers and the principal breathed a sigh of relief.
However, Dong Xuebing’s subsequent words made everyone tense.
Dong Xuebing looked at the woman and said sharply, “Director Hou, have your officers block the entrance!”
Then he turned to the school staff. “No one’s leaving until this matter is settled!”
Hou Jing gave a bitter smile the moment she recognized him.
Why the hell is this walking disaster here now?
