Chapter 1021: Going to Hell
Chapter 1021: Going to Hell
Kent stood, staring at two doors.
The one on his left has a white portal showing that it leads to a domain of wealth. Naturally, that was where Kent would have gone if these were normal times.
However, looking at the red portal leading to hell, he knew that was where his destiny led, so he wouldn’t back down now.
Suddenly, the white-bearded man appeared alongside Gaap.
"So you’ve made your decision, huh?" he asked, and Kent nodded.
"Time for me to go to Hell, Old Man." Kent smiled, knowing the words he said weren’t something a normal person would have said so casually.
The white-bearded man could only shake his head and said, "I have been to hell before, but not through the Hell Road. However, I have knowledge of how Hell Road works, so listen."
Kent nodded, knowing every little piece of information would be great at this moment.
"Hell Road is a mechanism created by the universe to determine who gets to preside over a level of hell. It is said there are 13 levels of hell, each governed by a Hell Lord.
And yes, the flames you have are also Hell Lords, but in the realm of primordial flames.
However, the Hell Road is a way for you to challenge the current Lord of Hell to a duel to the death. Of course, the duel is just a fancy way of making it sound formal.
In truth, walking the Hell Road has to deal with literally walking through the various domains in hell until you arrive in the domain where you will face the true Hell Lord.
You will face Hell Kings and Queens, Hell Generals, Hell Warriors, Hell Demons, and so many more. After all, you will have the mark of a Hell Challenger, and that will act as a beacon telling everyone you are walking the Hell Road.
The only silver lining is that everyone will be suppressed to the level of a High World for you, since you are entering from a High World, thanks to my laws.
However, I’m not sure if they will feel suppressed. But from what I know, you will only face Heavenly Ascension Stage warriors and below.
It is going to be very dangerous, so be prepared."
The white-bearded man sighed, "One other thing, Nirvana Flames don’t work there, so don’t count on it."
"Thank you for telling me this."
"Don’t worry about it. If you make it out, perhaps we will meet again in the future... After all, you are far from home."
Kent smiled as the white-bearded man vanished, leaving only Gaap.
"Well, do you have anything to say?" Kent asked, and Gaap stood there for 5 good minutes before a sigh escaped his lips.
"I am coming with you."
"Sorry, but this is a solo mission, meaning I will be doing it alone," Kent smiled.
"I know. However, you need me to guide you, and since I am from the 6th level of hell, I wouldn’t be considered a third party.
Also, you don’t have a good sword, so I might as well become the sword you never had." Gaap smiled, and then he transformed into a sword, causing Kent to widen his eyes.
"It has been billions of years since I took my true form. I even seem to have forgotten my own nature. However, many years ago, I was known as the Bloodforge Sovereign.
I don’t know where I came from; however, I once woke up in hell and lived there for several thousand years.
The name I gave myself was Sanguis Nihil, a name that invokes terror and ultimately gave me my title, which, to this day, when mentioned in both hell and the underworld, evokes the eternal scent of blood."
Kent felt something within him stir when he heard Gaap’s true name. It was like a part of him, a part he had long forgotten, was now standing right before him.
He paid close attention to the sword, noticing every key detail. The more he looked, the more impressed he became.
The blade is a dark crimson steel, veined with glowing molten cracks, as if blood itself is sealed within. The guard is shaped like jagged horns, bleeding ember-red, and the handle is wrapped in scorched black leather as a blood-misty aura rises from it.
"I don’t know how or why, but watching you fight, I feel like we share a destiny. This is why I decided to reappear in the Universe again as your sword.
For now, you don’t have the power to wield me, but I will suppress myself to the level of a Heavenly Ascension Stage warrior so as to match your power.
One day, when you reach the stage worthy to wield me, I will unseal myself."
Kent smiled, "A living sword, huh... I never expected to find one here."
"Be grateful," Gaap said. "So what do you say... am I worthy to be your sword?"
Kent smiled and walked toward the sword. He used his finger to cut his palm, then, without hesitation, he wrapped his fingers around the handle, forming a bloody bond with it.
However, right when the contract was formed, Gaap trembled... "You—you walk the path of blood." His voice was filled with shock...
"Indeed. My path is that of blood, so I believe we are going to have so much fun together."
If Gaap had been hesitant to form a contract with Kent, then now, learning he walks the path of blood, he couldn’t be happier.
"True. I believe we will have so much fun."
And just like that, two evil people who shouldn’t have met did, and it was all thanks to a certain Paragon who failed to tell Kent that to change his fate, he must only form a contract with the Bloodforge Sovereign...
But I guess this Paragon loves to see people suffer, so he left out the most dangerous part, which has to do with entering hell, where the rules aren’t exactly managed by the heavens...
Kent was never meant to go to hell, but Paragon sent him there. As to why he did that, only the future can disclose that.
Kent turned in a certain direction and nodded, "Until next time, Old friend."
With that, Kent stepped into the red door...

[Sixth Level of Hell - 14 Hell Towers & Bliz, the Fallen Angel]
One would expect hell to be a burning inferno where the painful cries of the damned would be heard.
However, it is nowhere near that.
Of course, it is a place of great suffering, a place where the damned are sent to live the rest of their life in eternal damnation.
At the very moment, every head in the sixth level of hell was looking up at the sky, staring at 14 beams of light painting the sky red.
"The Hell Road has been opened."
These words came to everyone’s mind, causing them all to cheer and shout, "Let the hunting begin."
Somewhere in the sixth level of hell, inside a castle made from the skull of a god, sat a man with red horns, black angel wings, and skin littered with scars, some even dripping with red molten lava.
His entire face had tattoos, and his eyes were so red that just a mere gaze would be enough to end the existence of an immortal.
"Another one has arrived," he muttered, looking into the distance.
He then tapped the skull acting as the knob of his throne handle and spoke, "Hell demons, the time has come to hunt. Have fun, and may one of the next Hell lords rise from your bunch."
With a laughter that caused the very heavens to tremble, his voice was sent to everyone, starting the eternal hunt for the one who dared challenge the Hell Lord, the Fallen Angel Bliz.
