Chapter 1023: Report & Decision
Chapter 1023: Report & Decision
[Five Months Later - Shore of the Damned Hell Sea]
Kent sat with his expression focused as he stared at two runes, one black, the other white, hovering in front of him.
From the white rune, he could sense dense life energy. In fact, all around him, despite the place being a rocky mountain, weeds started to grow...
Well, weeds started to grow on one side, while on the other side, every life that appears dies the next instant.
He had refined the Blood Life and Death Seal, finally getting the runes he would implant into his soul. Once successfully implanted, then, per what Kent knows, his health will be boosted by 10,000%, making him a literal immortal.
However, that isn’t all. Once he implants the Life Seal, his Eternal Draconic regeneration ability will also experience a boost.
This will allow him to regenerate his arms and legs in under a minute, should they be severed. Although he can’t regenerate his entire body from only his heart or head, this is already enough.
As for the Death Seal, if at first he needed to stab a dragon 10 times to kill it, now he needs only five, and as more Death Seals are added, so would his killing intent increase.
Basically, if he keeps creating and refining more blood death seals, it will get to a point where his mere gaze will be enough to kill a god.
"Now, the best part," Kent gestured with his hand, and the Blood Life Seal moved and entered his forehead. A few seconds later, a nourishing feeling washed through his body, filling him with life energy.
He could feel his core filled with so much life energy that he couldn’t help feeling like an immortal.
Then he gestured, and the Blood Death Seal also entered his forehead. This time, he sensed a bloodthirsty energy coursing through his body, filling him with a potent killing intent...
’I don’t know how deep Pill Monarch Nefeli’s killing intent went, but from what I sense, I am sure I am not too far from what I sense from her.’
Kent smiled, already feeling he was finally becoming someone worthy of walking the Blood Path.
"It is going to take so much bloodshed to create another Blood Seal. However, if I have the time, I will do everything I can to create another one.
Hopefully, once I complete the quest and kill the Planet King, I will receive two more seals. By then, nobody in any High World would be able to compare themselves to me... I think."
Kent sighed and then spread out his soul map, but couldn’t find Gaap.
"Looks like he is not back yet," he sighed, and then he waved his hand, bringing out the seed of the seven hell flames he had subdued.
He first wanted to study them and then, after he figured out what to make of them, he would use the Hell Flame Art to create his foundation.
"Hopefully, one day, I will be able to confidently beat my chest and say I have done all I could and now, I have nothing to fear."
--
A month later, a sword shot out from the Damned Hell Sea and stopped before Kent. It transformed into a face-tattooed man who walked forward and sat beside Kent.
Three days later, Kent opened his eyes.
"You are back," he said, noticing Gaap beside him. "How was your trip?"
[I managed to gather some intel, but I couldn’t go much deeper. However, since I am from this world, I was able to roam freely in the outer region of the sea.
However, that all changed when I went about 50,000km deep into the sea. Even with my nature, I was attacked by damned souls all over.
I managed to reach a depth of 75,000km. But that was all I could get to before I had to come back. Of course, if I were to unseal myself, I would have gone much deeper.
But that would have created unnecessary trouble for you, so I limited myself to the Heavenly Ascension stage and managed to reach the deeper depths of the Outer Layer.]
Kent nodded.
Gaap is a living sword.
Although he can be considered a soul weapon, his nature is no different from that of a living person. This means his strength is considered equivalent to that of a living cultivator.
Instead of grading him as a divine, supreme, or Celestial grade sword, he is now a Heavenly Ascension stage living sword whose true cultivation is True Immortal.
But because he is now linked to Kent, who can’t wield his true strength, he has to limit himself.
"So with the 75,000km you reached, how far would I have to go to reach the bottom?" Kent asked, and Gaap smiled.
[The Damned Hell Sea has three layers. There is the Outer Layer, which goes as deep as 100,000km. I am not sure about this number, but it is roughly within that range, and it is fraught with peril.
Then there is the Inner Layer, which, if I were to guess, is even deeper than the Outer Layer. So let’s approximate that to be 150,000km deep.
Then, if you somehow manage to reach the Core Layer, which I am unsure how deep or dangerous it is, we can estimate its depth to be approximately 200,000km.
So, putting all this together, we are tracking between 450,000km and 500,000km deep.
So my 75,000km reconnaissance is not that important if you ask me. However, there is a silver lining, and that is if we manage to make it to the Inner Layer, leaving a trail of bodies behind us.]
Kent furrowed his brow, "How would that help us?" he asked.
[Since you are walking the blood path, then I only assume you need blood essence to cultivate your techniques.]
Kent nodded.
[Since that is the case, you should know I have an ability that allows me to take the blood essence of any being killed by me or my wielder.
Of course, I don’t need the True Blood Essence. What I absorb is the Resentful Blood Essence, which all beings have.
So the more we kill, the stronger we become. Meaning if we were to brave the danger and face the beings hidden in the sea, we would have the means to face the Inner Layer and perhaps the Core Layer.
However, it will be extremely dangerous and time-consuming... though the rewards are just too good to pass up on.]
Kent smiled and waved his hand, manifesting 604 blood essence. Then he formed a hand seal, causing the blood essence to start flying into his forehead.
As they were absorbed, Kent could feel his Primal Body Tempering Art stir and begin to absorb all the blood essence.
In no time, he absorbed all 604 blood essences, and his Primal Body Tempering Art reached 17% completion.
Aside from that, he could now use 12% of his bloodline. Of course, his Bloodline Awakening was still at 19% and no new Bloodline Aspect had awakened. But he can channel 12% of his bloodline, so that is something.
’This is better than none.’
Kent channeled the soul universe into his index finger and drew a rune in the air. When it formed, he pressed it against Gaap’s forehead.
"This will allow you to reap the blood of every kill we make and store it in a pool I created in my soul universe. Kindly extract only high-quality blood, for I will need it for my first blood-cleaning bath."
[Okay.]
Kent smiled and stood up...
"I am here to get stronger, Gaap. This means I am here to train, and if bloodshed is the way, then let’s paint the sea red."
[I like your style of thinking.]
Gaap turned back into a sword, and Kent jumped on it. Then, with one shift dash, the Primordial Chaos Dragon entered the sea to begin his journey down to Purgatory.
