Chapter 1174: Selene’s Dark Past

Obviously, being asked out of the blue whether they wanted to become Kent’s wives was unexpected and shocking.

That is rather true for the cat.

Indie, like Arien, has already told her family what she wants. Naturally, her family didn’t mind considering Kent is someone who saved them.

Princess Arien already told her father and mother, and they approved, too. They know Kent more.

However, for Indie, it was through Arien that she met Kent’s wives. She had spent some time with them and got to like their way of life.

At first, when she met them, she thought they were siblings, considering they all seemed to support each other. She saw the way they all tried to help one another just so they all could rise together.

She fell in love with that lifestyle and wanted to be a part of it.

The only problem, however, was that she had never met Kent before. She knew nothing about him. Yet, that didn’t stop her from falling in love with him.

Now, she had finally met him, and while it was brief, she was captivated by his good looks and strength.

One of her innate abilities allows her to use her cute little cat eyes to see things the way they are. She did see how monstrous Kent was. She also got to see how monstrous his legion was.

Now, she saw the one in charge of it all, and while his potential is nowhere near Vexthra’s, she was able to see the real Kent, and that turned her on.

Clearly, she fell in love with Kent’s strength, something she never knew was possible. Now, she had been offered the chance to become his forever.

However, it felt too sudden.

She turned to her friend Arien, and from the look on her face, she too felt it was sudden. Suddenly, they turned to the one who knew Kent better...

Lady Liora turned and looked at them too before shifting her gaze to the glass lady... Enzi.

"Don’t look at me." Enzi smiled and turned away. Her sisters laughed, knowing moments like this sometimes required one to make their own decision... or seek out a shameless Saintess.

Selene smiled and moved closer to the three ladies. She placed her hand on Indie and Arien’s shoulders.

Every last one of her sisters expected her to say something shameless. However, when she started to speak, they all turned quiet...

"I never told anyone this before. However, when I was 11 years old, I witnessed a man assault my big sister to death."

Selene turned and looked at Neomi, who seemed lost.

She then chose to speak to her, so while holding Indie and Arien, she started to reveal her dark past...

"My father was one shameless bastard who couldn’t stick to one wife. He used them and then dumped them. My mom was one of his many victims.

He started out as a loving father and supportive husband; however, once he had gotten what he wanted from you, he would dump you and throw you aside.

My mother gave birth to two of us. My sister was 4 years older than me. She was my best friend and pillar of support.

Back then, when my father offended some powerful cultivators, he chose to abandon us and run, saving his useless life.

One night, out of nowhere, the cultivators broke into our home and killed everyone. They spared no one. The men were instantly killed, including little boys, and the ladies were assaulted to death.

My sister was a very smart girl... perhaps too smart for her own good. That night, when everything was happening, instead of thinking about her own life, her entire focus was on me.

She could have escaped, yet she traded her place for me. In the heat of the moment, while helping me escape, she was captured and assaulted. I witnessed the entire ordeal, and that was when my fragile and innocent mind fractured."

Tears fell from her eyes, but she wasn’t the only one; her sisters were also crying.

"I’ve always believed in love and happiness, but that one gory night changed everything. My sister saved me, but at the cost of her life.

Later, I met Neomi at the orphanage, and while she looked just like my sister, her own childhood trauma was what brought us together.

I would be lying if I said we became friends and eventually sisters because she was a nice person. I became her friend due to our shared bitterness, and it was that bitterness that kept us going.

We killed all those who caused us pain... I hunted down my own father and killed him, hoping that would change anything, but the trauma seemed to have rooted its way into my heart by then. I was a lost cause, as most would say."

Selene let a painful smile appear on her face.

"You know, my big sister and I used to fantasize about our future back then. We both wanted to become wives of wealthy young heirs and, using our husbands’ money, open an organization where we would use any means necessary to punish unfaithful husbands."

Selene chuckled, and her sisters also smiled, wiping their tears.

"Thinking about it now, Atina should have stopped me from coming up with that silly idea."

Selene turned back to Indie, Arien, and Liora and said the words she meant to say...

"The point of all this was... I had given up on love... Shit, I hated seeing a man and a woman happy together. That was how bitter I was, and for a while, I lived it.

However, everything changed when I met Kent, and through his shamelessness and perhaps a moment of hesitation, I fell for him.

Because of him, I have known what love is. Because of these amazing ladies, I have regained my happiness again.

So becoming his wives is probably the best decision you will ever make."

An evil smile then crossed Selene’s face, prompting her sisters to welcome the real Selene back...

"Also, his dick is rather perfect, and damn, the dragon juice is natural and extremely sweet, so make the right decision, or else you will miss out on all the amazing orgies we will have in the future."

All the sympathy her sisters felt for her was wiped away by her shameless comment.

They could only shake their heads and hope she would change one day. Naturally, they knew she would never change, for this is who she is, and so they could only accept her as she was.

However, she seemed to have said what the ladies wanted to hear.

They all seemed to have made their decisions... even Lady Liora.

The ladies smiled and gave Selene a thumbs-up while Kent gave the mental command to the Tower to add the three ladies to the harem.

He then reached forward and took Selene’s hand, giving her a gentle squeeze. This was his way of telling them he was there for her.

Selene nodded and lay her head on his shoulder. This was her moment too, so she would enjoy it for as long as it lasted.

Her sisters didn’t mind. They themselves wanted to pamper her for a while.

After the ladies were added to the harem, Kent decided to speak about Elina, the lady who gave the Chaos Dragon his strength to rise and, in the end, save the entire universe.
