Chapter 1209: Welcome To The Tower
Chapter 1209: Welcome To The Tower
BOOOOM
A kid was hurled through the air, his left cheek and other body parts were injured, letting out green blood. Humans on Earth will call him an Alien.
Of course, he has the appearance of an Alien. His eyes are green, his hair green, and there are even green scales on his cheek.
At first glance, one would see him as a 12-year-old. However, despite his look or age, his cultivation had already reached the Life stage and was even on the verge of reaching the Death stage.
Obviously, he is no 12-year-old.
As he flew through the air, a figure with features similar to his appeared below and caught him. He teleported and appeared 4000 km away.
Behind them, five Immortal Kings and an Immortal Emperor were hot on their tail. Two of them also have green skin; however, four of them have deep green, almost black skin.
The two with the green skin held nothing in their hands, but the four held bows in their firm grip, eyes locked on the kid and his brother.
They were moving at several km per second.
"You are just running from the inevitable, Kaelen. The Queen will have your brother, and there is no hole you can hide in that we won’t find you"
The Immortal Emperor said, firing a 3-meter-long black arrow.
However, the young man holding the child is also an Immortal King, so he easily evaded the arrow. The determined look in his eyes said all that needed to be known.
...he is determined to keep the kid safe, and no matter what, he will make sure of that. With every leap, they are propelled several km ahead, widening the gap between him and them.
The kid looked at him and gently wiped the green blood off the corner of his lips.
"B-big brother, maybe let them take me and save yourself," he is worried about his brother. The entire chase was to get him. So if he surrenders, the chances of him saving himself are high.
"Shut up, Lio, I promised Father I would keep you safe, and I intend to do that."
The kid sighs, his expression turning sombre. He is powerless in this regard, and so all he could do was stay quiet and let his big brother save him and himself.
Suddenly, an arrow struck his brother’s back, sending him stumbling forward. However, he didn’t fall flat on his face like it was intended.
If he did, the enemy would catch up to them. However, as if the arrow were made of poison, his body began to weaken.
"Futile. You can save yourself by leaving that brat behind... Yet—"
Another arrow was fired by an Immortal King, finding its mark on the young man’s back again. This time, his vision turned blurry, so when he stumbled, he fell.
However, he held on to his brother in his firm grip, gritting his teeth as he rolled across the floor.
When they stabilised, the kid pressed his tiny palm on his brother’s chest, sending his green energy into his body. However, as a Life stage warrior, healing an injury caused by an Immortal King and Immortal Emperor is no easy feat.
"Save your energy, Lio, I am not that weak."
"Big Brother..."
Lio’s voice broke as tears began to fall down his face.
"Don’t worry, Lio, I will keep you safe." He tried to stand up, but the pain and weakness made him fall to his knees.
However, watching their pursuers closing in, he forced himself to stand and move.
But before he could move, another arrow embedded itself into his right foot, sending him back to his knees.
The young man let out a hoarse scream, forcing the pain to the back of his mind and stood up to run again.
Even the people chasing him were stunned by his dedication and strong will. However, his speed had slowed after taking two deadly arrows in his back and one in his leg.
Soon, they would be only 400 meters away, closing in on them fast.
However, before they could get to a grabbing range, the world suddenly turned cold. The young man slowed down, feeling the change.
"What is it, big brother?"
"I don’t know"
Although he felt the chance, he didn’t stop running. The six immortals chasing them, eager to get their hands on them, ignored the change in the air and used the moment to get closer.
However, before they could get their hands on them, the space cracked, and a wave of heat broke the coldness. From within, a dark-haired young man stepped out in a stumbling motion, almost like he was pushed.
The moment he came out, three others followed, and the portal closed. Everything happened in under two seconds, bringing the whole region to a standstill.
The kid and his brother stopped 3 meters away from the new arrivals, their expressions grim.
As for the six immortals, one of them released an arrow before the portal opened, and because of the sudden distraction, the arrow found its mark at the young man’s head.
However, before it could connect, Avotha moved and caught it. Then, with no effort, he broke the arrow in half.
This action caused the six immortals to halt and instantly retreat—or tried to.
Before they could move even their fingers, an invisible force enveloped them, freezing them in place. Avotha turned to Uncle Drew, but the latter was pissed off by what Nyx did to him.
Nyx did push him into the portal, so he was pissed.
Avotha didn’t want to disturb him, so he turned to the kid and his big brother and asked, "Is this an immortal world?"
"Yes," the young man with his pale face answered, holding his brother even tighter. He can’t get a read on Avotha’s aura.
Naturally, that scared the shit out of him.
Avotha narrowed his eyes at them, causing the kid to turn his gaze from him. Even his brother is afraid, considering how his body was twitching.
"Stop scaring the kid, Avotha," Uncle Drew suddenly said, stepping up to the kid and his brother.
"My name is Drew, but you can call me Uncle Drew. These are my friends, Avotha, Lene, and Vargus."
The kid turned to Uncle Drew and hesitated before speaking, "I am Li0, and this is my big brother Kaelen. We are running from the bad guys who want to kill my brother and take me away."
Uncle Drew smiled, commending the kids’ smartness in his heart.
’This kid is much more intelligent than he looks.’
Since Avotha asked whether this was an immortal world, he knew these people weren’t from their world. Of course, they can tell they aren’t from their world.
This means they can help them. So he quickly used the moment to reveal what shit they are in.
"Avotha, take care of those scums." Of course, Uncle Drew didn’t need a genie telling him the six immortals are scums of society. Chasing after a kid is already enough to tell their character.
Avotha waved his hand, and black flames ignited the six immortals. Then, with a snap of his finger, they all turned into black orbs and flew toward his space ring and entered.
"Well, Lio and Kaelen, do you want to come with us, or should we send you back home?"
Lio looked at his brother, who was still in pain, before answering, "Our home was destroyed."
"Sorry to hear that. In that case, come with us. Your brother needs healing."
They hesitated for a moment, and then Lio nodded.
Uncle Drew smiled and waved his hand, and the next second, they were standing in a completely different environment.
"Welcome to the Tower, everyone."
