Chapter 1211: Reunion

Kent only recognised Avotha the moment his eyes landed on the three demigods.

However, looking at Lene and Vargus, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he had known them for millions of years.

Deep in his heart, a feeling of camaraderie fills him, making him wonder where he knows them from.

Of course, he is already aware that he was once the master of the Night Riders. He became aware of this when he awakened Uncle Drew’s True Name and also from Chaos when he met Him in one of his visions.

He knew that during the Great War, when he shattered his soul and called deep into time and space, the Night Riders Legion and the other 12 legions answered his call and came.

Chaos told him at one point in time that all 13 legions were his creation, so he knew the Night Riders were, at some point in time, his team.

But he doesn’t know just which life that was.

However, he knew they were important to him, and that feeling only intensified as he walked closer to them.

To Kent’s shock, the colossal Vargus just got up from his seat and, using his tall and heavy body, lunged at him for a hug.

Kent saw him coming, but he couldn’t dodge.

It was impossible to dodge.

Vargus wasn’t using his demigod strength; however, he couldn’t find an opening to dodge. So, in the end, the hug happened, but because of Vargus’s weight, Kent fell onto his back.

"I miss you so much, master." Vargus was practically at the point of tears. Unlike Kent, he has memories of his previous life, and so he knew things many don’t.

These things are now fuelling his emotions when he sets his sights on Kent.

Kent pat him on the back, almost choking... "I miss you, too, big guy, even if I have no idea who you are at the moment."

Vargus didn’t mind. Hearing he misses him, too, was enough. In the end, he broke the hug and lifted Kent off the ground.

Lene and Uncle Drew just sat on the side watching the brute, who, in the past, was Kent’s favourite. They have the same idea of how battles should be fought.

One could say that while Kent was ruthless, he was destructive. They shared a more friendly connection back then.

Kent looked at Vargus for a few seconds before smiling. He then turned to Lene... and asked, "No hug from you?"

Lene shook her head. "Hugging the master is inappropriate."

"How is hugging inappropriate? Hugging is the best feeling in the universe, so calling it inappropriate is an understatement."

Lene turned to Uncle Drew, who winked and muttered, "Enjoy while you have the chance, Lene."

Of course, Lene was hesitating since the version of Kent he knew had no love in his heart. In fact, most of the Night Riders — Lene included — were more afraid of him.

So while Kent looked harmless like a kid, she knew better, and so she was forced to hesitate — past trauma and all.

However, hearing what Uncle Drew said, she gathered the courage and went for a hug. Obviously, she quickly became absorbed in the hug.

’Well, it does feel nice’

Kent just smiled while Uncle Drew shook his head. Among the 69 Night Riders, he was the only one who still saw Kent as a normal person.

The Ruthless person people knew in his eyes was a normal person. His mental fortitude is strong enough to see past ordinary things.

Maybe that was why he was their leader.

Suddenly, a thought appeared in his head, causing him to smile. When Kent saw the smile, his back broke into a cold sweat.

’Ah, what is with me feeling like somebody wanted me dead these past few days?’

He had been feeling chills down his spine the past couple of days. In his mind, he hadn’t offended anyone that deeply to warrant such feelings.

’I am probably overthinking things. I haven’t offended anyone... well, those I’ve offended don’t know my true identity.

Then again, Jest and Chaos had probably offended some monsters, and now, in a way, they are stirring to come for revenge.’

Kent shook his head, ’I am overthing here. I will be just fine as long as I am in the High Worlds’

With himself convinced, he decided to keep his focus on the moment. After breaking the hug with Lene, he turned to Avotha.

"Sorry, buddy, I only hug ladies. Vargus was an exception simply because I have a soft spot for brutes. In any case, how are you?"

Avotha, the abyss dragon, merely smiled and answered... "I’ve been well, Lord Kent. As you can see, I have become a demigod."

"I can see that," Kent smiled, a part of him feeling proud of the Abyss dragon he decided to spare back then. He came this close to killing him if not for Gaap’s intervention.

Avotha smiles also.

He is proud that he met Kent when he did. After meeting him, his life completely changed. Now, not only is he a demigod, but in the realm of demigods, not many can contend with him.

He had formed 9 Death Tattoos, each holding the power of a demigod. When all nine are unleashed, not even Bilad or Nyx could last a minute against him.

That was possible because of Kent.

He gave him the first two forms of the [Genesis Of Death] Technique.

The rest was his own hard work.

Kent turns to Lio and his brother Kaelen...

Seeing this, Uncle Drew spoke.

"The little one is Lio, and that is his brother Kaelen. We saved them when we returned from the underworld. Since they have nowhere to go at the moment, I let them stay here."

Kent nodded and walked toward them.

"Welcome to the tower, Kaelen, Lio. I am Kent Madson, the owner of this place. And since you have nowhere to go, feel free to stay here."

Lio and his brother widened their eyes when they heard Kent’s name.

"Kent Madson?"

"Like the Kent Madson everyone had been looking for?"

"The one and only," Kent said with a smile.

He is already aware of his reputation and knows that all who hear his name will be shocked.

After all, while he didn’t place the Sword Dao Tablet in his eyes, the universe does, and the many people living in it most certainly would like to know more about the person whose name appeared on it.

"No need to look shocked, guys. I am just a simple dragon who loves to have fun."

They nodded promptly.

Kent smiles and summons Gaia.

"Gaia dear, kindly take them to Nature City and give them a nice residence and provide whatever they need."

Gaia nodded, but she turned and glared at Kent for a few more seconds, "You are still owing me precious tower points, big brother."

Kent smiles and ruffles her hair. "I will pay back soon. So give them what they need and put it on my tab."

Gaia smirked and left with Lio and Kaelen. Once they were gone, Kent focused his attention on the three Night Riders and the Abyss Dragon.
