Chapter 1385: The Eighth Floor - Greed King (1)

Chapter 1385: The Eighth Floor - Greed King (1)

Five days after Kent was put to sleep, he woke up, feeling refreshed and less hateful.

The hatred in his heart had calmed down considerably.

Of course, even if he woke up with hatred in his heart, the fact that his head was resting on the most majestic ass in the universe and surrounded on all sides by beautiful bodies would have calmed him down considerably.

The setting he woke up in was just too perfect.

Vexthra called back her sisters, who, five days ago, were prepared to climb to the 8th floor of the dungeon. They all felt Kent’s emotions, so they all ran back.

Their man comes first in all things. His mental health is something they all value, and so when he was in trouble, they dropped everything to be with him.

Making sure he is well and happy is their job.

But now, he had recovered, and it was all thanks to every last one of them and the tower. The book with over two hundred pages left to read is back inside his tower vault, so unless he wishes to dive back in, he wouldn’t easily have access to it.

"How are you feeling?" Unity asked, cuddled up in Kent’s arm.

"I am fine, ladies." He brushed her hair and added, "I only had a backlash from recovering some of my memories. I thought I was ready, but I guess I wasn’t."

They nodded.

"You had us worried there for a second, dear," Mara said, looking a bit relieved. They were all on edge the past few days.

Mental health is a serious issue. If whatever Kent was doing was something detrimental to his mental health, then they would do everything in their power to stop him.

However, now that they have learned what had happened, they seem a bit relieved.

"Do those memories have anything to do with Elina?" Alina asked.

She is more invested in bringing Elina, whose death led to the rise of a tyrant during the primordial Era, back to the tower.

Of course, a part of why she wanted her brought to the tower is because they share the same name.

The only difference was the first letter of their names. Hers starts with ’A’ while the other starts with ’E’.

Aside from that, they have the same sound to their name. She has already made plans to make her a long-lost twin. So she wants to find that out.

"No, Alina, it was a new incarnation called Lex Morvane." Kent took a deep breath again. He wanted to be transparent with his wives in things he felt wouldn’t impact them negatively.

Of course, they aren’t only for sex. They are there to be his listening ears, so talking to them seems like the most logical thing he can do.

"I don’t know much about him yet, but from the little I have seen about him, it might be the most tragic life I have ever lived. He was a brilliant boy who was loved by everyone. His parents adored him, and so did his two sisters.

However, after leaving home for 200 years to advance his cultivation, he returned to find his family in ruins. His father was killed, and his head hung at the entrance of the city.

His mother and two sisters were chained and turned into fuck dolls for anyone who had a few gold coins.

He came home to meet the biggest humiliation he had ever seen being subjected on his family by someone he trusted. And when he tried to seek help, he found out that it was his uncle who had done all that.

So channeling his anger, he rescued his family, only for them to wish for death. He used his own hands to put them out of their misery, and with their death, everything good about him also died."

Kent sighed and added:

"That was all I could remember before my emotions got the best of me."

Some of his wives had tears in their eyes, while others wore frowns.

It was clear the soft-hearted ones like Unity, Val, Mara, and the others felt the impact in a more sorrowful way, while Vexthra, Neomi, Nara... felt hatred toward whoever put the family of their husband’s past incarnation through such torture.

"I am fine, ladies. It is all in the past now. I am sure I have handled it the best way I could..." A weak smile appeared on his face, already imagining what he would do if the same fate were to befall him in this life.

’I would probably burn the universe to the ground.’ His eyes narrowed a bit, and an evil intent that seemed to have come from the Ruthless Bandit seeped out from them.

"Kent, what evil thought is running through your mind?" Zaila asked, a smirk forming on her lips. She is the only one among her sisters without a sorry look or a frown.

It wasn’t that she had no emotion. She is a Mind Cultivator, so she has some form of resistance to emotions. Right now, she put those walls up so she could logically think and see if Kent was indeed alright.

"Nothing to worry about, Zaila," Kent laughed, but Zaila knew he was lying.

"If you don’t tell me, know we wouldn’t take you with us to the 8th floor."

Kent chuckled. "Seriously, it was nothing to be concerned about. I merely had a thought that would never happen, so you have nothing to worry about."

Zaila studied him long and hard, then she nodded. "I won’t pry into your thoughts. But know that I will keep a close eye on you. The first sign of abnormal behavior, and you are back in the tower, where you can have a peaceful rest."

He nodded. A few hours later, after making sure he was alright, they went to join the legions in the legion tower. Yuyin and Dia were also there.

When Dia saw Kent, she became a bit happy.

After their heart-to-heart, she felt more relieved and happy. Kent was the same. He came to the conclusion that as long as Dia was around, the pain from the curse wouldn’t be as severe as it was when he killed her in the past.

Axiom, Kailan, and Kol were also around. They managed to secure the fangs for Gaia to start building the portal, so they were now ready to go on any mission he had for them.

Kent knew they would come in handy when they started meeting Immortals in the tower. Uncle Drew also brought Enkay, his death agent, who helped locate Kaelith.

As for Kaelith, he was still unconscious in Gaiaville, the healers looking after him. It would take him some time to wake up, so they didn’t wait around for him.

"Let’s go," Vexthra said before opening the portal to the 8th floor. Since she is the leader of the legion, even with Kent around, she was allowed to lead this mission.

The portal opened, and Kaizo was the first to jump in. The others entered, and before long, every last one of them entered.

On the other side, they appeared on a ship sailing in a raging, stormy sea.

DING

The mission details appeared and everyone start to read.
