Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1394: Self-Hate

Chapter 1394: Self-Hate

There is nothing any of his wives or legion is going to say that will stop Kent from blaming himself. He had killed the Night Riders, and while there may be a reason for all this, the fact that they died because of him made him feel terrible.

They are dead because of him. Even if he did it for a good reason, the point here is that they died, and he was the cause.

There is no denying that, and now that he knows, there is just nothing anyone can say that will change his mind.

The self-hate will grow in him for a while. But he will endure because while they died, they are now here, with him. That is something to be happy about.

Although he learned that he was at one point the leader of the Night Riders, he again didn’t expect them to meet on those terms.

They came to kill him, but from the way Uncle Drew spoke, it seemed he expected that outcome and was even ready for the betrayal that followed.

This indicated that he was intelligent. He devised a perfect plan that drew the Soul Temple into his scheme while leaving a good impression on the night riders.

The second was how powerful he truly was, to use just half his strength against the Night Riders.

Uncle Drew didn’t say how strong they were before facing him, but he knew from Vexthra that those who played the biggest role in the Dark War were the Night Riders.

So one can only imagine just how terrifying the Ruthless Bandit was to face such a team with only half his strength.

Kent had already met Chaos and saw how monstrous he was. He had already met Faceless, and while he was merely a demigod, he saw him assassinate gods, and perhaps he would be meeting many terrifying beings as he explored the Shadow Realm.

There is still more to learn about him.

But they aren’t the only ones whom he can say are dangerous. He had already seen what Jest could do with the sword, and so learning that the Ruthless Bandit was monstrous made him understand he was no simple person in all the lives he had lived.

But that’s nothing to be proud of now that he’s learned he was the cause of his own team’s death.

The memories he had recovered so far of the Ruthless Bandit point to a life of evil. He knew he would be extremely evil in that life, but how much evil would that be?

He just learned he killed an innocent lady simply because she was dear to someone he hated. To make that person bleed, he killed his innocent daughter.

That was just him being the scum of society, and he knew that. But even if he did it for a reason, like Lene said, the fact that he was able to cross that line was all he needed to know that he was a scum.

"I hope this all points to a bigger picture," he muttered, his head bowed as he sat beside the Sword of Enlightenment.

This won’t break him, but it will shape him in ways he would never see coming.

Meanwhile, back inside the legion tower, Vexthra and her sisters started thinking of what to do...

Kent’s mental health is their priority right now, so making sure he is happy is the only thing they can do.

"I still can’t believe the Righteous Faction tried to kill you guys," Velyra said, her expression filled with hatred toward the Righteous Faction.

"There are good people within their ranks. But at the end of the day, their leadership is rotten, and that can be said when they had every chance to aid the Ruthless Bandit but chose not to."

"That is indeed true. I was invited many times to join them, but refused not because I hated them, but because I hate the idea of someone dictating what I do with my life," Vexthra smirked. "Many gods had already joined them and are enjoying the benefits that come with it."

"That is true. I was also invited, but chose not to join them, not because I hate them, but because I already have a team.

They have some cool policies that you would love, but learning they stood on the side while the universe burned to the ground made me remember those thirteen scums who called themselves the universe guardians but ran when shit hit the fan during the Primordial Era."

Miryssa chuckled, feeling some form of disgust toward the Righteous Faction.

"The Ruthless Bandit was many evil things, but he was no hypocrite. He always has a reason for doing things if you examine his actions critically. However, it seems the young master would have to handle this on his own.

He didn’t know what truly happened, and to be frank, I don’t either. Back then, he had all the time in the world to send us away, but he didn’t.

His last words were, ’It had been a good run, guys, but now we must all die.’ The look on his face back then wasn’t that of someone who chose to kill us for fun.

So for now, I or any of you can’t help him. But we can hope that when he recovers his memories, he will find the reason why he did what he did.

As for the Righteous Faction, they should pray that the young master has more pressing things to handle. Trust me, when I recover my team, they will become our main target. They would pay for their transgressions. I am sure the Ruthless Bandit will come for them, too."

"What about the Soul Temple?" Neomi asked.

"From the records I found in the 14th level of Hell, the Soul Temple had lived since the Primordial Era. Some even say they were there during the Era of the Six True Primordials, so they run deep.

However, in the records, I learned that they faced their biggest adversary during the Divine Era."

Vexthra furrowed her brow. "Wasn’t that the era when the legendary Alchemist ruled the universe using wisdom and knowledge? I mean, he wasn’t a warrior or anything, so how can he bring such a formidable force to their knees?"

Uncle Drew smiled. "That was what the Righteous Faction wanted you to believe. In fact, while the universe saw the Ruthless Bandit as the most evil, that was because he showed his face as evil.

From the Hell records that I have reviewed, the legendary Pill Celestial Kevin Sage was someone the universe actually feared, not because he was evil. They feared him because he was too brilliant.

From the Hell records, there is an account of how he brought the Soul Temple to its knees. Nobody knew how, but he came close to wiping them out.

So the Ruthless Bandit will handle the Righteous Faction, and the legendary Divine Alchemist will take care of the Soul Temple."

Dia narrowed her eyes and then asked, "So in this scenario, does it mean Kent is or was the legendary Kevin Sage?"

Unity turned to her sister and replied, "If it isn’t him, then who else?"

"Unbelievable."

The ladies brainstormed everything they could, but in the end, they heeded Zaila’s advice and let Kent handle his own demons. He will be fine, but it would take time, so they chose not to disturb him.

Thankfully, after three days of back and forth, he calmed down and decided to apologize to the Night Riders.

They stopped him from doing that, but in the end, he did, and then he entered the Alchemy Tower to practice alchemy.
