Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1518: Bittersweet Reunion

Chapter 1518: Bittersweet Reunion

It took Kent less than ten minutes to freshen up and change into comfortable attire. Afterward, he decided to go see his wives and plan his next move.

When he asked the Tower if Lene, Fallon, and Vika were safe, she said yes. That was all he needed to hear. Next, he wanted to meet his wives before returning to Planet Brymrr to resume his mission.

With his memories fully recovered, he is now more motivated to find Inaya. As for the demigods, he will be taking Miryssa along. So he is ready to return to his mission.

Nothing, however, prepared him for what was waiting for him in the Legion Tower.

As if by design, when he appeared in the Legion Tower, the first person his gaze landed on was none other than the same person he went to Planet Brymrr for in the first place.

Inaya was staring at him with a gentle smile, tugging at the corner of her lips.

This instantly caused a gentle pain to ignite in Kent’s chest.

If this were before he recovered his memories, the first thing he would have done was sneer and throw some jabs at her. However, after recovering all his memories, his feelings for her changed completely.

The same annoying and very evil Inaya he knew was not the same lady staring at him. She now stood as the wife he never got to have. The mother of his children, he never got to meet.

Without knowing when or how he moved, he found himself wrapping his arms around her, tears rolling down his face.

"I-I...am...I" he tried to speak, but his emotions had completely taken over his voice. While it had been billions of years for Inaya, to him, it felt like yesterday, so his emotions were still so fresh.

Inaya and the rest of his wives were left stunned.

What they expected their first meeting to be like was not what was happening at the moment. In fact, they never saw this coming, considering that from what Ainna and Inaya recounted, it felt like Jest had stopped loving her and betrayed her by taking her mortal enemy instead.

The Kent they were looking at right now did not look like someone who had stopped loving her. If anything, he looked like someone who had missed his loved one so much that seeing them again was everything he cared about.

Inaya held her arms open, her chest rising and falling, unable to process what was happening. Thankfully, the goddess of love was there with them.

Unity walked forward and took her open arms, wrapping them around Kent.

"It is alright," she mouthed the words before walking away.

Inaya remained still for a few minutes before she tightened her hold on him. A few seconds later, tears started streaming down her face.

The emotional ones in the harem also started wiping their eyes.

Generally, the situation was indeed emotional. Nobody knew why that was. Maybe it was because of Unity. She, after all, is the goddess of love.

Her presence may have affected them, causing them to feel the emotion in the air a bit too strongly.

But thanks to that unknown force, the feeling in the air was both pleasant and needed. Even Ainna, who was against Jest’s return from the start, now felt somehow happy watching her friend hug the love of her life.

She met Inaya during the Divine Era. She was just starting up as a diviner when she met one of Inaya’s emotion clones. Just like how Jest met the clone of hers that sparked their years of rivalry, Ainna was the same.

However, unlike how Jest met the arrogant clone, she met the loving one. They became friends, and later, when Inaya merged back into all ten sword emotions, she looked for her, and after a few ups and downs, they became friends.

It turns out they were both from the same planet. So years later, when Inaya returned to start a family, Ainna was with her.

That was why, when she became heartbroken, Ainna was the one who helped her put herself back together. It can be said that during the worst part of Inaya’s life, she was the one standing beside her, giving her a reason to keep living.

That was why she was beyond pissed when she learned Jest was back.

Now, however, she was happy for her. Maybe later she would throw a tantrum again, but for now, she just wanted her friend to have the moment.

They all did. Kent and Inaya deserved this reunion, even if it was bittersweet.

Inaya tried several times to feel angry, sad, and maybe resentful. However, each time, she would rather tighten her hold on Kent instead.

A few minutes into it, she decided to let the moment carry her. There was no need to resist this pleasant atmosphere. Whatever there was to say, it could be said after the hug.

Of course, that was the plan. However, as they say, when there is calm for a moment, chaos is expected to follow.

Ironically, Kent himself was once called Chaos.

Only that this time, he was not the one who caused it.

The hugging was nearing its end, which, from the atmosphere, felt both nice and pleasant. However, that changed when a painful scream tore from Dia’s mouth.

She dropped to her knees and clutched her head. They rushed to her, even interrupting the emotional hug between Kent and Inaya.

While they had hugged for a couple of minutes, that scream brought everything to an abrupt end.

Dia stayed on the ground, screaming and beating her legs for ten good minutes.

When she finally recovered, tears slowly streamed down her face. She lifted her head and tried to look at Kent, but she could not keep her eyes on him for long.

It was as if she were too embarrassed to look him in the eye. In truth, she was indeed very embarrassed, considering what he now knew.

Kent knew what had happened, so with Inaya still in his arms, he walked toward her.

"Stop. Don’t come closer..." Dia distanced herself from him, her expression breaking...

"It is alright, Dia. None of this is your fault. It was merely a big, fat misunderstanding that should not have happened in the first place."

Kent could tell she had recovered her memories from her life during the Divine Era. Those memories contained all the terrible things she did, right up to the point when she met Jest on his way to Planet Genesis.

Jest was supposed to return home to Inaya. However, because of her, he was forced to make an impossible choice, one that shattered Jest’s heart for the duration of his life during the Divine Era.

It was also she who caused Inaya to develop a heart demon that had kept her restricted at the god stage, preventing her from moving on.

Compared to the several other terrible things she had done, now that she had those memories back, she felt like the worst person in the entire universe.

Kent moved closer and took Dia’s trembling hand. "It is all in the past now, Dia. I know you blame yourself for everything. However, the truth of the matter is, you also had no choice. It was who you were meant to be, and you merely played by the rules that bound you.

This time, however, we get to play by our own rules. So do not dwell on the past; let us focus on the future instead."

Dia would have loved to nod and put everything behind her. However, with the memories she had now, she would need a couple of weeks and Dori’s help to handle that.
