Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1645: Empire in Ruins (1)

Chapter 1645: Empire in Ruins (1)

"Thank you for buying clothes for me and feeding me, but you really should not risk your neck over something unachievable." Origin might only be 15 years old, but his words carried the weight of someone over 30.

"I heard from some mercenaries that the Abyss Slave Mine is the most heavily protected place in this world. They said over 200,000 guards have been stationed there, and they would not hesitate to kill.

Saving anyone is impossible, so while I would love to one day see my parents again, the only way that would happen is if I also became a slave. So please, drop this and save yourself from danger."

Kent smiled and tossed a Spirit Grapefruit into his mouth, chewing on it casually.

"Relax, Origin. Even if there are a million guards there, I will still save your parents. Besides, I did not come here only to walk away empty-handed."

Origin stared at Kent for a long moment before letting out a sigh.

He reached into his pocket and retrieved a whistle. "Take this. My mother said that whenever I found myself in trouble I could not handle, I should blow it, and I would somehow find myself in a safe place. I have never been in real trouble yet, so you can have it.

At least it might save your life. Also, if you really manage to get inside, it will help my parents recognize you."

Kent accepted the whistle and stored it inside his Space Ring. He knew the whistle was an ordinary thing, but he liked the trust Origin had in his parents.

"Rest assured, Origin, I will return with your parents. Just stay here. I have already paid for the room, and you will be fed three times a day."

Origin nodded, and Kent stood up to leave.

"By the way, what are your parents’ names?"

A few minutes later, Kent used the Soul Map to teleport away. Tower had already locked onto the location of the Abyss Slave Mine, so the moment he left the city, he immediately began moving in that direction.

On his way there, Kent only had one thought in mind, and that was to destroy the mine before leaving.

Nothing could have prepared him for what awaited him five hours later.

[Abyss Slave Mine]

Over 3 million slaves lived in the Abyss Slave Mine, one of the largest mines in the entire Hyumbi Star System. Around the clock, the slaves mined Spirit Stones and Spirit Crystals. No matter the time of day or how fragile one was, they either worked or they did not eat.

Every slave there knew freedom was impossible for them, so they forced themselves to work hard so that feeding themselves would not become a problem.

Even so, many slaves died every single day, some from mining accidents, others from sickness, exhaustion, or the brutality of the guards.

Of course, with weekly shipments of new slaves arriving, nobody truly mourned the dead. After all, more would come to replace them within the week.

Today, 34 slaves were tied up to be executed for disobeying orders.

Among them were two young ladies, one far more striking and beautiful due to her recent changes brought about by an unknown evolution.

She possessed silver hair, golden eyes, round breasts, broad hips, and a slender waist that, combined with her curvy figure, made her resemble a living doll.

This lady was Elina, a banished heir whose family had been slaughtered by a rival clan. Beside her stood a loli with big brown eyes and short orange hair. Looking at the pale expression on her face and the black veins spreading across her neck, it was obvious she had been poisoned, but also scared.

Her name was Love, the daughter of a slave who died a few days after giving birth to her. Elina had practically raised her, so in many ways, she was like a daughter to her.

About a month ago, Elina discovered that Love had been poisoned through a snake bite. She tried everything within her power to seek help, but nobody listened to her.

So she did the only thing she could. She stole an antidote from a guard, but before she could completely cure the venom, the two of them were arrested and sentenced to death.

Today was the day of their execution, and looking around, everyone who had ever interacted with the two girls could only watch with teary eyes.

"Just close your eyes, Love. It will all be over before you know it." Elina tried everything she could to calm the poor child, but Love was more focused on pleading for Elina’s life than on her own.

She knew it was only a matter of time before she died from the venom, so execution was not something she feared anymore.

"I-I am... I am sorry, Big Sister. I am sorry," she said, tears rolling down her face as the guards began the execution process from the left side.

"Mere slaves, and yet you dare disobey orders? You dare steal from the very hands that feed you?" the guards sneered as their leader activated the slave collar around a slave’s neck.

It exploded instantly, blowing the slave’s head clean off his body.

They moved on to the next slave, and soon, only one slave remained before it reached Elina’s turn.

Turning to her left, Elina smiled softly at Love. "In the next life, I want us to be sisters again, Love."

Just then, the slave beside her lost his head.

"You may have been a princess before becoming a slave. However, that does not give you the right to steal from a guard. In your next life, stealing should be the last thing on your mind."

The guard smiled and prepared to activate the slave collar when, suddenly, his body froze.

His body rapidly contracted, and under everyone’s stunned gaze, he turned into ice before shattering apart.

High above the sky, Kent appeared, his body radiating overwhelming killing intent.

His gaze met Elina’s, and for a brief moment, scenes of her death during the Primordial Era flashed through his mind.

Then something inside him snapped.

Kent’s eyes turned blood red. Even the air around him became crimson, and before anyone could even question what was happening, he moved.

Blood filled the air.

The only thing anyone could hear was the roar of an enraged dragon.

Kent had turned off his humanity, or rather, it had shut itself off automatically, returning him to the same state he had entered when Elina died during the Primordial Era.

He had completely lost control, and to the guards and the rest of the world, he was very bad news.

He came there to save Origin’s parents.

Instead, he arrived only to witness the execution of the one person he had travelled across galaxies to find.

Everywhere around them, all anyone could see were claws tearing through flesh as blood sprayed endlessly into the air.

Still standing on the execution platform, Elina had tears streaming down her face as she watched Kent rampage through the mine.

Memories of her past life began to return.

Even without her past life memories, she recognized the young dragon before her, killing as though no humanity remained within him.

Suddenly, Kenna appeared out of thin air and stood beside Elina. With a flick of her hand, the slave collar around Elina’s neck shattered.

She repeated the same for Love, whom Elina immediately pulled into her arms and covered her eyes.

Part of Elina wanted to stop Kent, but she understood that whatever was happening to him now could not be stopped, at least not now, when she herself wanted all the guards dead.

She understood Chaos better than anyone, so she simply held Love tightly while Kent continued his rampage.

Suddenly, a portal opened high in the air, and a voice echoed out from within.

"Here I come!"

Kaizo dropped from the portal like a falling mountain and landed heavily on the ground. The entire mine trembled

"Master, your orders?" he asked, a deep frown plastered across his face.

"Kill everyone. Bring this Empire to ruins."

Kent’s voice echoed across the entire mine, causing chills to run down the spines of the guards.

Kaizo raised his hand and snapped his fingers, issuing a command.

"Call of the Legion."
