Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1665: Ascension of the Underworld Empress (1)

Chapter 1665: Ascension of the Underworld Empress (1)

The first to appear was, of course, the King of the First Layer of the Underworld, Rellius, the King of Ashes. He was a towering man clad in black armor forged from volcanic stone.

His hair was dark and short, and a crown with spikes was carefully placed on his head. His eyes burned like molten lava, and ash constantly fell from his body.

Looking down, however, the falling ash did not seem to dirty the ground. This led Kent to conclude that the ash was merely his aura made tangible yet illusory.

Accompanying him were seven demigod warriors who, from Kent’s perspective, would all become Supremes when the seal on their cultivation was finally lifted, with perhaps a few reaching the Celestial Realm. As for King Rellius, he would undoubtedly enter the realm of a peak Celestial.

His gaze burned with arrogance and disgust, something the Seven Silent Claws did not take kindly to. However, Indie stopped them before they could take any action.

Instead, she smiled and gestured toward the chair reserved for him.

"Welcome to my palace. You may sit and wait for the others to arrive."

"Tch."

King Rellius smirked before walking over and taking his seat. His guards stood behind him, their auras filling the throne room.

Kent found their behavior somewhat amusing. In his opinion, demigods should not display such arrogance in front of the seven Universal Gods.

However, they looked arrogant and defiant, a clear sign that they did not take Indie seriously.

’How laughable. I wonder where their arrogance is coming from.’

He smirked and turned toward the next person to arrive.

Queen Masah of the Second Level of the Underworld appeared alongside her seven warriors. Just like King Rellius, she wore a defiant expression.

She was both a beauty and a mystery. As far as ranking the Underworld’s most enigmatic figures was concerned, she stood near the top. Her power came from water and illusion, abilities she had relied upon to maintain her position as Queen until this day.

The moment she sat down, Queen Lonia also appeared. Unlike the others, however, she bowed deeply, and so did the seven warriors behind her.

"I pay my respects to the Empress."

Indie smiled and gestured for her to raise her head.

"Kindly take your seat and wait for the others. And do not forget, your loyalty will be rewarded."

Queen Lonia nodded before taking the chair reserved for her.

A few seconds later, King Orpham appeared, ancient chains dangling from his body. He was a giant standing over four meters tall, his massive frame covered in countless ancient chains.

Physically, he would rival some of Kent’s undead demigods.

’Damn, that is one large bastard,’ Kent thought inwardly.

Then a frown appeared on his face, and the intent to kill flashed across his face when King Orpham spoke.

"So you are the bitch calling yourself the Empress of the Underworld."

Indie frowned at the provocation, and so did her seven guards. However, before any of them could make a move, a terrifying pressure crashed down upon the brute, sending him to his knees.

Miryssa stood up and began walking toward him.

Every step she took sent ice spikes erupting from the ground and stabbing into King Orpham’s body. The pressure bearing down on him also increased with every step she took.

"The only reason you were called here is that the Empress wished to give you a second chance to repent and the opportunity to become a useful aide within her empire."

"However, it seems some of you do not appreciate her benevolence. So why keep you alive when there are more capable people who can fill your role?"

Miryssa’s voice was deathly cold, so cold that even the Seven Silent Claws felt the pressure.

Since Miryssa had awakened the Eternal Nether Yin Body and unlocked Nether Ice, the Underworld felt like the perfect place for her to display her power.

By the time she was only one meter away from King Orpham, the brute had already lost consciousness.

She turned and looked at King Rellius and Queen Masah.

"Make no mistake. Your Empress has enough sisters and friends who would gladly accept your thrones and rule in your stead."

"The only reason you are still alive is simple. It is not my place to pass judgment."

The arrogant and defiant expressions in their eyes vanished, replaced by fear. King Rellius and Queen Masah felt their bodies tremble, expressions turning pale.

Miryssa ignored them and turned toward Indie with a smile.

"Sorry about that. I just hate it when kindness is mistaken for weakness."

"You have nothing to apologize for, Miryssa. I was actually about to order his execution."

Miryssa nodded and teleported back to her chair, leaving the unconscious and heavily injured King of the Fourth Level of the Underworld and his seven warriors kneeling there in silence.

The moment she sat down, King Gffankan and his guards appeared. He was a massive monster with four mouths and countless eyes. The sight made Kent furrow his brow.

’An Abyssal Ogre, huh... Interesting.’

King Gffankan immediately stiffened when his gaze landed on the unconscious King Orpham. Seeing this, he refrained from showing any arrogance and quietly took his assigned seat.

King Avernus also arrived and, like King Gffankan, became obedient and sat down quietly despite being one of the strongest Underworld Kings.

Shortly afterward, King Fredman arrived and also took his seat without incident. While he had rallied behind the Underworld God, he had only done so because he did not want to become a target of the rest who followed him.

He merely went with the bandwagon.

Ronan, King of the Eighth Layer, arrived with his scythe resting on his shoulder. He was someone who respected the Grim Reapers so much that his entire demeanor resembled theirs.

He had always wanted to become a Grim Reaper, but with the Underworld Empress gone, nobody had been able to bestow that power upon him.

Even so, he was friends with more than two hundred Grim Reapers. To him, even if the other twelve layers united to pressure him, he would never yield.

So, having waited his entire life to stand in the Empress’s presence, he bowed deeply, paid his respects, and swore his allegiance to her.

Kent instantly found himself liking the man and planned to speak with him later.

Just after he took his seat, the person Kent had been waiting for finally arrived.

Nyx appeared alongside seven demigods. Two were female, and five were male. Kent instantly sensed a cold aura emanating from her, a sign that she had already reached Absolute Ice and was halfway to mastering Extreme Ice.

Indie’s eyes sparkled when she saw Nyx arrive and bow before her.

"My name is Nyx, second daughter of the Abyss King Narton."

"Oh, so you are an Abysskin," Indie said, a small smile appearing on her face.

Nyx stiffened, but she still answered.

"Yes. However, I left my world a long time ago to become my own person. I hold no animosity toward you or anyone else."

"I believe you," Indie said without hesitation.

"Huh?"

Nyx, who had prepared herself to face the wrath of the Empress, was left stunned.

"I have my reasons. For now, take a seat, and let’s welcome the rest."

Nyx nodded and sat down.

Just then, her gaze shifted toward Kent, who was relaxed in his chair and quietly observing the arrivals.

’Who is this person?’ Nyx wondered.

However, she did not stare for too long, lest she offend someone she should not. The underworld, after all, is a dangerous place, and this person seems to be with the Underworld Empress.

King Fenrik, a werewolf, appeared next. He offered a respectful bow before taking his seat.

Queen Dabria followed shortly afterward, and then came King Nosoi, the Pestilence King.

Finally, King Natos arrived.

Once all of them were seated, Miryssa waved her hand, and King Orpham was abruptly awakened.

He instantly turned pale, his body weakened beyond measure.

"Sit down, and don’t make me repeat myself."

Indie’s cold voice slammed into his mind like a hammer.

Knowing he was already walking on thin ice, King Orpham practically ran to his seat.

The moment he sat down, Indie began to speak.
