Chapter 1739: Nine Dragon Whip

Chapter 1739: Nine Dragon Whip

"To make you all understand the true nature of this weapon, how about I tell you how this weapon came about?" Kent smiled and started to reveal how he created the Nine Dragon Whip...

"So, the Nine Dragon Whip was created from the souls of nine Celestial-stage Hell Demon Dragons."

Yet again, many gasped, not expecting the whip to be that advanced and extremely dangerous.

"I only know a little, but from two known records, it was said that the Nine Dragon Whip was created by the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith as a gift for one of his lovers.

It is a living weapon possessing the souls of nine Hell Demon Dragons and has been wielded by its owner during the Flame Wars, killing thousands of flame demons and beasts. In fact, contained inside the whip now are nine dragon souls that, if Lady Wu would permit me, I would like to awaken.

This also means the value of this whip would shoot from a mere God-grade weapon to a Celestial-grade living weapon."

Kent turned to Lady Wu, who nodded and muttered, still in shock, "Go ahead."

He nodded and opened the glass chamber, picking up the whip. His memories were triggered by the nine souls inside the whip.

The moment he set his sight on it, all nine of them opened their crazed eyes and looked at him, sending him down memory lane.

So he knew they were ready to awaken, just as he had also awakened his memories of the past.

Of course, if not because Kent was here today, perhaps the nine arrogant dragons wouldn’t have awakened to aid anyone. The person Fjorge created them for fell during the Flame Wars, and since then, they had never chosen another master.

Kent turned and looked at VIP Room 79 briefly before turning back to the whip.

He extended his left hand and summoned crimson flames. The moment the flames appeared, the whip wiggled, and it started to uncoil.

Kent brought the flame closer, and under everyone’s stunned gaze, he lit it with flames. Many gasped yet again, some fearing he had ruined the whip. However, a few seconds later, the whip released a powerful pressure.

ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!...

Nine terrifying dragon roars followed, causing many to widen their eyes, with some turning pale. The pressure that came was so overwhelming that, had Kent not asked Pandora to block 90% of it, everyone would have passed out by now.

"Relax, guys, this is not the place to make a fuss," Kent said with a slight smirk before letting go of the whip. The moment he did, it separated into nine different whips and then transformed into nine terrifying dragon heads.

Every bccame even more pale now. Pandora was able to block the aura, but she did not shield their appearance.

All nine dragon heads locked their gazes on Kent, almost as if they wanted to devour him.

Then, in a language nobody understood, the red dragon head spoke, releasing flames from its eyes...

"So you have returned, Barbarian."

Kent smiled and responded, "Why, did you miss me?"

"Tch, as if anyone would miss a bastard like you," the white head, who had command over metal, sneered as he looked at Kent with disdain.

"No hard feelings, you nine, but you ambushed us and died fighting me. So, in my book, you lost fair and square. So what’s all this squirming for? Or are you telling me mighty dragons such as yourselves lack the basic decency to accept defeat?"

"You clearly know what you did, bastard," the black dragon head said, mist of water surrounding him. "You promised to upgrade us when you handed us over to that feisty lady.

But what did you do? You went and died like a chicken, leaving us to be wielded by lowlifes and overprivileged bastards. You owe us as a Barbarian. You owe us big time, so you’d better start planning how to repay us."

Kent smirked. "I know I owe you guys, and no, I didn’t die like a chicken. I died fighting terrifying Primordials. Or do you think someone like me would die that pitifully?"

He turned slightly and looked at VIP Room 79. "Plus, your master is already back. Or you losers can’t sense her feisty aura inside this place?"

The nine dragons narrowed their eyes for a moment. Then, in one motion, they all turned and looked at VIP Room 79...

Inside the room, a lady with a slave collar around her neck stood beside a fat-looking man who clearly had a knack for indulging in anything oily and greasy, even while he was slowly dying from poison.

The lady was more like the fatty’s spokesperson. When she questioned Kent a few minutes ago, it was at the command of the fatty, whose wealth made him untouchable.

Unfortunately for him, fate had arranged this auction for Kent to recover the memories of one of his past lives and also to reunite him with not one, but several people close to him, both from this era and the past.

The lady with the slave collar was both Kent’s lover from his past incarnation as Fjorge and one of the finest warriors he had ever known. She was the original wielder of the Nine Dragon Whip.

Now, she had been reduced to a mere slave. However, because he had decided not to destroy this place, his anger had been suppressed with all his willpower.

The dragons became furious when they saw the state their master was in, but Kent calmed them down and said in the language they were speaking...

"Relax, guys. I will make sure he dies the most painful death possible. For now, go back inside the whip and wait for the auction to end. We’ll discuss the details of your upgrade later."

They nodded and returned to the whip. Kent then placed it back into the glass chamber and turned to Lady Wu.

"The floor is yours, my lady. Just know that this whip is no longer a God-grade weapon, but a Celestial-grade living weapon with nine Celestial-stage Hell Demon Dragon spirits."

He teleported back to his booth and sat between seven gorgeous women. In truth, the nine dragon souls had already become pseudo-Primordials after years of slumber. So he would get them for his past feisty lover.

"Veth, win the bid for the whip."

"Huh? I don’t use whips," Veth said, looking stunned.

Kent just smirked and replied, "I know. But I want you to bid for it since I intend to gift it to someone."

"One of your women, I suppose?" Pandora asked with a slight smirk.

Kent smiled and replied, "Yes. She was one of the most yandere ladies I knew. Back during the Flame Era, she chased away more ladies who tried to get close to me than I could even count."

Kent chuckled, recalling how many ladies would run whenever they saw her coming. "She was the best and a great warrior."

They nodded and smiled, knowing Kent only behaved like this when he truly liked someone. Hearing this, Veth decided to go all out.

While she wasn’t the one paying, she decided to spend her man’s money. After all, her own money was Kent’s to spend.

Lady Wu returned to the stage and took a deep breath before she started to speak.

"Initially, the starting bid was 100 billion. However, in light of what has occurred, the starting bid is now set at 500 billion, with a minimum increment of 50 billion."

She paused for a few seconds before starting the bidding war.

"Begin."

"1 trillion," the slave girl was the first to bid.

But almost immediately, her bid was overshadowed.

"2 trillion."

"3 trillion."
