Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1758: Meiko’s Mission

Chapter 1758: Meiko’s Mission

With the Genesis Sword Realm vanquished, Kent knew he had to turn to his other options. However, before he could, Meiko spoke.

"It doesn’t matter what you throw at me, Fjorge. Winning at this stage is impossible."

"I know that, but I still have some trump cards," Kent responded, finally getting into the chaos of it all.

However, Meiko merely smirked. "Then become a Demigod or a God fast so we can have a proper duel. Right now, you are too weak to even force me to use 10% of my true strength."

Kent gave her a hard look before sighing. "Fine, but be prepared for our next battle because I won’t be the same anymore."

"I am counting on it." She smiled, then dove straight into Kent’s arms and kissed him.

"It’s been a minute, Fjorge. Or do you prefer I call you Kent instead?" Meiko asked, melting into Kent’s arms. Externally, she was as chaotic as they came. However, whenever she found somewhere she felt safe, she didn’t care how vulnerable she became.

"Just Kent will do. But feel free to call me Fjorge whenever we’re alone."

She smiled and rested her head against Kent’s chest. Then, placing her hand on his back, she started channeling her energy into his body, healing the internal injuries he had suffered during their battle.

After a few minutes, she pulled her hand back and stepped away.

She gave Kent a long, hard look before asking, "So how is any of this possible? One moment, I ignited my soul and channeled all my energy into my whip to kill a Primordial. The next, I woke up inside a cocoon, and despite having a different face, I instantly recognized you."

"How am I here, Kent? And how am I still a Celestial? In fact, I feel like I am way past the Celestial stage now."

Kent smiled and lifted her chin so she could stare directly into his eyes.

"It is a long story, but the short version is this: a very long time ago, another version of me invoked a spell that, over the course of many eras, picked some of the people who aided me in protecting every Era and reincarnated them.

That same version of me also won a bet against a Cosmic being. So, with their assistance, even though you died, they preserved your soul and cultivation. Now, I have merely returned what had always been yours."

Meiko stared at Kent for a long time, but no words came out of her mouth. First of all, she was stunned by everything she had just heard.

It was true that she had once stood at the peak of the universe and dominated countless battlefields. However, all of that, in her view, paled in comparison to hearing that someone—more accurately, another version of Kent—had invoked a spell that affected not just one era but several eras simultaneously.

Second, she had never once imagined that Fjorge had a past this extraordinary. The person she knew had always been hardworking, constantly chasing one opportunity after another. Everything he ever owned was earned through hard work.

Lastly, she never knew she had meant this much to Kent.

Kent may have said it casually, but to her, it sounded as though the spell only affected people who meant a great deal to him, like Sahir, who, despite the danger, made everything possible for Kevin Sage to succeed.

She had also faced a Primordial and willingly given her life without complaint, making sure the innocent were protected.

That alone was enough for her to know that Fjorge held her in high regard, and so the Spell of Origin had affected her as well.

Kent could tell Meiko had become emotional just from the way she looked at him. Seeing this, he smiled and added,

"Of course, by bringing you back, there is a price you have to pay. I have lived many lives, and each time, we faced different dangers.

However, aside from the Shadow Era, we could never completely eradicate all the threats. So now that you are back, we will have to deal with all of them. It is the price you have to pay for cheating reincarnation."

Meiko smiled and replied, "It is only natural. After all, I have a lot of unfinished business, one of them being the Flame Race."

Kent merely smirked and decided not to entertain that topic further. Otherwise, she would pressure him into finding the nearest battlefield where she could stretch her legs.

But she asked anyway. "Are we the ones invading this time, or do we have to wait for them to come?"

"Some will come, and we will have to visit some. In fact, I have already visited the Star Beast Race, and my subordinates are actively working to subjugate them."

"Can I join them?" Meiko asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"No."

"Why?" she pouted, feeling wronged that Kent didn’t want her to join what she knew would be a deadly campaign filled with danger and mayhem.

"Inasmuch as I would love to have you join my subordinates, I have a very important mission for you."

"Even better." Her mood was instantly restored. "Where are you sending me?"

"The Underworld."

"Oh." Meiko narrowed her eyes slightly. "The last time we were there, you retrieved the Eighth and Ninth Underworld Sacred Flames. What were their names again?"

"Aeth’Xyron and Mor’Kaelith."

"Yes. I hope you are not sending me there to claim them again."

Kent smiled and replied, "Well, as a matter of fact, you are going there to claim all nine of them."

"Unbelievable."

Kent laughed and gave her a gentle pinch on the cheek. "The last time we were there, you had fun, and your Nine Dragon Whip also enjoyed the flame essence there. So take it as a trip filled with enjoyment and relaxation."

"Fine, but you will upgrade my weapon when I return. I can tell my weapon spirits have become more powerful, but the weapon itself is still weak."

"I will. In fact, I’ve already promised them. So get me the Nine Flames, and I will work on upgrading it. This time, I will make them extraordinarily powerful."

"Very well. When do I leave?"

"Right after you meet some of my wives. In fact, one of them is the Empress of the Underworld."

Sometime later, Meiko stood stunned in the Mountain Garden, looking at Pandora and some of Kent’s wives who hadn’t gone on any of the missions.

From Pandora down to Elina, the weakest among them, she could tell that the five women were anything but ordinary.

When Kent told her she would be meeting some of his wives, she had tried to act yandere. However, Kent had simply told her that once she met them, she would understand why she couldn’t dare behave the way she did back in the day.

Now, staring at the ladies before her, she knew she had to be careful, especially around Pandora and Yukiko, who were Primordial and Pseudo-Primordial, respectively.

"Nice to meet you, Meiko. Kent has told us a lot about you," Vexthra said, taking her hand.

During the auction, when Kent bought the Nine Dragon Whip, they had pressured him to tell them more about the person he intended to give it to.

So indeed, they had heard a lot about her, and now that they were finally meeting her, they could understand why Kent’s past incarnation had fallen in love with her.
