The right question should be: what is Damba not telling her?
Inaya had lived with this shameless bastard for years, and so she knew just how insidious he could be. He is secretive, and whatever plans he comes up with, there is always a hidden aspect he doesn't reveal until it is too late.
Inaya never intended to sign her name in the Ash Maidens' book, not by a long shot. However, Damba's scheme had landed her in that hot mess. Now, he had come up with something else, and that alone didn't sit right with her.
Inaya narrowed her eyes and walked closer to Damba, who couldn't help taking a few steps back.
While he was way stronger than Inaya, considering he was a Primordial and she was only a Supreme, he had to admit that this human lady scared him.
"Tell me, Damba, what else do you have planned this time around? And before you laugh and tell me everything is normal, know that my man is someone you wouldn't want to anger. Trust me, if you play a fast one on me this time, I will return with a legion of terrifying warriors led by a very angry dragon. So tell me the truth, is the mission as simple as you claim or not?"
