Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 909: The Apocalypse (13)

Chapter 909: The Apocalypse (13)

"Damn it! Just where did these bastards come from?" The Pill Princess cursed, narrowly leaping away from a spear thrust launched by a Spirit Emperor.

Her forehead was drenched in sweat, showing she was at her limit.

Beside her, Princess Elowen released an arrow that let out a glass-shattering sound. The arrow pierced the shoulder of a Spirit Ascension Stage forsaken warrior.

The moment it struck, the warrior’s shoulder began to crystallize into glass. The corruption spread quickly down his arm, and before long, half his body had turned to glass.

He collapsed, shattering into cold ice. However, these chunks of ice were actually cold flames.

Princess Elowen turned to her left and saw her friend, Princess Freya of the dwarven race, slash her short sword at the leg of a Spirit Emperor.

She then swiftly moved aside, giving the Arrogant Crystal Dragon Prince the opening to unleash his crystal flame on the Spirit Emperor, searing his face and chest.

The One-Eyed Demon Spawn—renowned for his lightning-fast attacks and deadly swordplay—flashed across the battlefield. He struck with unmatched precision, severing the Spirit Emperor’s head before he could recover from the burning sensation on his face and chest.

Their coordination was seamless, just like how the Ice Maiden, Nyss, and the Venom King were working together, cutting down enemies as fast as they could.

In this very moment, aside from the Sect Elders, only the five seeded core disciples, Princess Elowen, Princess Freya, and Nyss, remained fighting on the battlefield.

Almost all other disciples had retreated to Sonox, with none daring to return.

Of course, away from the main battle yet still within the Dead Region, many of the disciples who had received Kent’s generosity lingered, stepping in only to support injured warriors or finish off wounded forsaken warriors that strayed within four hundred meters of their position.

However, to fully join the fray and seek out their own targets was something they dared not risk.

But because of their retreat, Alina’s use of her spiritual qi to maintain the formation was reduced. This allowed her to preserve hundreds more lives.

Even so, countless warriors continued to die, and there was nothing more she could do.

"I know Lady Enzi is famed for her battlefield presence, but who would have thought Lady Liora was this deadly?" the Ice Maiden said, briefly pausing as her eyes followed the dark-armored lady wielding two daggers, moving like a phantom through thousands of overpowered foes.

Initially, everyone had expected Lady Enzi alone to dominate the battlefield. However, that assumption crumbled when Lady Liora’s white robes abruptly shifted into dark leather armor.

Her long, silky brown hair darkened to jet black and was bound in a tight ponytail. In her grip gleamed two daggers, each brimming with death qi.

Naturally, she seized the spotlight, outshining both Lady Enzi and Sect Leader Deimos.

"She’s like the incarnation of a death sister," Nyss said, cutting into the ankle of a forsaken warrior and leaving the rest for her brother to finish.

"I suppose one cannot judge a book by its cover," remarked an elder fighting near the disciples. He thrust forward with his spear while bracing his shield, giving another elder the opening to deliver a lethal strike.

The Pill Princess, who had always seen her master as harmless and gentle, now stared in shock at the woman’s deadly precision as she tore through enemy ranks.

"Just who are you, Master?" she whispered.

On her arm, the red, brown, and white flame runes continued to absorb the soul essence of her kills. Perhaps because she was slaying beings whose cultivation bases far exceeded her own, each kill granted her even greater returns.

Yet the more she watched her master kill, the more she began to wonder if the woman she thought she knew had ever truly existed.

But with monstrous enemies pressing in on all sides, she was forced to bury her doubts and focus on survival.

As for Lady Enzi, watching her friend dominate the battlefield only fueled her hunger for strength.

’Kent is right. I’m still not strong enough. I must be able to kill even four realms above me before ascending.’

She threw her sword into the air and formed a seal, summoning nine identical blades that shot outward, striking nine forsaken warriors in unison.

"Once this is done, I will go into a one-year seclusion inside Kent’s tower and come out only after breaking three more limits and reforming my foundation.

My Glass Realm is stronger than ever, but my foundation is still lacking."

She moved, and the sound of glass shattering followed her steps. Within a ten-meter radius, every forsaken warrior who entered was immediately blinded by their own reflections.

So, while her cultivation was weaker, she was by no means weak.

The rules of cultivation were strange. It was even said that a careless god could fall to the sword of a mortal. So, although the forsaken warriors were far stronger than Sonox’s army, the battle wasn’t entirely pressing down on them.

Of course, some disciples and warriors died, but that was simply the price one must pay in war. Not all could survive the chaos of battle.

Lady Liora, the Silent Angel, glided through the fray of Spirit Ascensions and Spirit Emperors, killing those she was certain she could defeat and crippling those she could not, leaving them for Lady Enzi to finish off.

Back in her world, she was regarded as the disciple of a Pill Legend. Her fame stretched far and wide, even reaching the Supreme High Worlds.

In fact, she had once been invited by Five Pill Worlds to join their alliance, but she politely turned their offers down.

When her master ascended, she knew it was her turn to find a disciple and continue the ritual. Naturally, she longed to escape the burden of being the disciple of a Pill Legend.

But what no one knew was that, before becoming the disciple of the Pill Legend, she was a deadly assassin who had assassinated thousands.

The codename ’Silent Angel’ echoed through thousands of worlds, to the point that even the infamous Midnight Shadows sought her out.

When they discovered what drove her to kill, they extended their invitation—and she accepted.

Though she later became an alchemist, in her heart she remained an assassin.

This was why, when a righteous mission called, she chose to answer, even if her journey as an alchemist would be delayed for another thousand years.

"For the Faceless Assassin, I must kill all who dare harm the innocent." With that unshakable resolve in her heart, she moved like death itself, ignoring the strength gap between her and the forsaken warriors.

Unbeknownst to her, a yin-yang circle began to form on her forehead, and her eyes slowly darkened.

If one looked closely, they would see the yin—the dark half of the circle—overpowering the yang, the white half.
