Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1000:

Chapter 1000:

Seeing they weren’t going to be getting an answer from the man who looked way too smug for his own good, the three Dogkin wives looked to Kaelira, and they threw themselves at her.

"Thank you! Truly!"

"You saved Dari! No, you didn’t just do that. You gave him back to us!"

"She’s crying! How adorable! I’ll have to rethink my view on elves, always thought they were egotistic snobs!"

Kaelira sniffled and tried to wave them off, but tears welled in her eyes. "I-I’m not crying, just... I’m glad it helped," she managed to formulate the words softly, emotionally overwhelmed. "It’s different, knowing this one wasn’t just for war... but for healing."

Quinlan smiled at that.

Then came a blur of motion as Darius leapt forward using his immense physical might and shook Quinlan’s hand with both of his.

"I’m forever in your debt, brother," he said, gripping tightly. "How can I repay you? Say the word."

"I mean, we’re happy to be of help," Quinlan replied, wearing a noble, serene expression. "We’re not materialistic people like that."

For a long second, there was only silence that lingered between the two men.

Then Darius barked out a laugh so loud it made the sheep queen jump. "HAH! That’s the best joke I’ve heard all century!"

Even his wives burst out giggling. One leaned to another and whispered, "Didn’t he demand an endowment from Papa Vargis just to marry Kitsara? As if he were doing the old dog a favor by taking his beloved daughter away from him."

The others nodded in unison, grinning. "Yes, though technically it wasn’t him but his wife Vex doing the negotiations..."

Darius gave Quinlan a mock glare. "This is you we’re talking about. I bet you’d try to charge the heavens rent if they parked a cloud over your roof."

"Your words are utterly ridiculous and not at all based on reality, but I’ll think of it as you being delirious right now. So I’ll accept the offer with gratitude. I wouldn’t say no to some gold."

Darius clapped his shoulder. "Someone needs to slap the shit out of you one day to reintroduce reality to you, but that someone won’t be me! All the gold I can gather, coming right up!"

He clapped Quinlan’s back hard, then turned to a servant. "Prepare the dining hall! I’m inviting this man and woman to a proper Dogkin royal feast!"

...

Later, at the feast...

The food was wild and hearty. Laughter shook the stone walls. Drinks flowed like rivers. Then—predictably—Darius stood with a grin and pointed dramatically across the table.

"This beautiful young lady is my oldest and strongest! I know you prefer women who can give you a spanking, so she should be right up your alley, brother! You like her? I’ll give you my princess as part of the reward!"

The girl in question—slender, long-eared, with silky hair and soft green eyes—immediately turned pink. She blinked at Quinlan with wide, shy eyes, her hands folding behind her back as she tilted her head ever so slightly, just enough to push her chest forward.

She clearly wouldn’t have minded being shipped away to the man before her, whether it was part of a deal, a reward, or anything really.

Quinlan raised an eyebrow just before he gave a warm, amused smile. "I’m flattered. I truly am. You, young lady, are a wonderful woman who would surely make me an immensely happy husband. But I already have my hands full with my current harem."

A polite refusal.

The girl’s shoulders sagged, but before the moment turned sour, her sisters pulled her into a playful hug, teasing and giggling until she joined in, making embarrassment and disappointment melt into laughter. ɽἈNő₿ΕS̈

By the end of dinner, when they all stood, Darius returned holding a heavy chest with both hands.

"Five hundred gold. I wanted to give you more, but Father refused to totally empty the treasury. I had to literally duel him even for this amount..." He huffed. "I’ll get you the rest later."

Quinlan accepted the chest with one hand, testing its weight. "This is more than enough."

Kitsara turned her head sharply, staring at him like he’d grown antlers. "You? Quinlan Elysiar, turning down more gold? Who are you, and what did you do to my shamelessly greedy man?"

Quinlan grinned and slapped her ass with a loud clap, making her yelp and hop forward while massaging her buttocks.

"The Dogkin are my allies," he decreed, "And right now, the Beastkin Confederation’s a mess. The money I gift to them today will help them rebuild and perhaps even take land from the more troubled beastkin tribes."

A beat of silence came over the feast hall.

Then, slowly, every single person in the room turned to look at him.

Kitsara, still rubbing her rear.

Kaelira, blinking slowly as if her brain had short-circuited.

Darius, whose lips were slowly turning upwards into a mad grin.

Darius’s wives, all deadpanning in sync.

And his daughters ’ expressions were flat enough to be mistaken for statues.

Their deadpan stares landed on Quinlan like arrows.

He blinked. "... What?"

"You make it sound like you gifted us money when we were the ones who gave you an immense amount of coin..." the sheep queen muttered under her breath in response. Even her air was really fragile and sheepish.

"Yes," Quinlan nodded without a hint of shame. He even dared to meet everyone’s stares with a look that said he thought them to be economically uneducated. "That’s how economics works. I gave you back your tribe’s second or perhaps even outright strongest warrior. You can’t put a monetary value on that."

The sheep queen’s jaw dropped as she whispered even more timidly now, "Didn’t you say you were just happy to help and weren’t materialistic people...?"

She was ignored entirely.

One of the wives nodded. "I’m not even mad. I’m just... impressed."

"Did we all just hallucinate that?" a daughter muttered.

"No," Kitsara giggled. "You were just introduced to my awesome husband’s real face..."

Quinlan gave a self-satisfied hum in response to all their statements while tossing a grape into his mouth. "Glad we’re all in agreement."

It was time to go.

They bid their goodbyes. The daughters waved. Darius clapped Quinlan on the back one last time and told him he’d make a fine brother-in-law anytime he changed his mind.

And then they teleported back.

Back to their real home.

Kaelira walked beside him in the silence, her face serene. For the first time in a long while, she seemed truly at peace with her place in the world, not weighed down by endless forging or war preparations.

She reached out, slowly, without even realizing it.

Her fingers brushed against his.

And then she took his hand.

Gently. Naturally.

"We did something really good today, My Lord..."

She didn’t say more.

She didn’t need to.

...

Now, it was time to turn their attention to the upcoming legendary 1000th birthday party of the king. Although Quinlan expected it to be a major event, even he didn’t dare assume all the shocking things that would go down there!
