Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1157: Aerial 2v5

Chapter 1157: Aerial 2v5

Quinlan shot higher into the skies. Every muscle and tendon of his was taut as he carried Black Fang on his back.

The wind screamed around them, but she stood tall thanks to the braces of earth he’d wrapped around her already shackled legs. They were not chains of restraint but pillars of support, extensions of his magic that gave her the leverage to stand as though planted on solid ground despite the gale threatening to tear her right out of the skies.

He then looked back at their pursuers and gave a wry sigh. "I can’t afford to look down on that void woman... How troublesome."

To that end, he greatly expended his already draining mana output with a grim expression.

The air warped in front of them as his wind manipulation flared, shaping itself into a spearhead. Air resistance crumpled away, shredded before it could even reach them as the pressure was displaced and funneled aside.

They weren’t merely flying anymore; they were drilling through the sky.

Far behind, the Scarlet Lilies were not idle.

Void’s eyes, usually shut with exhaustion, cracked open fully.

Twin orbs of cold, gleaming light examined the man before her. Their shine cut through the wind’s blur. Her lips curved into a frown as she watched Quinlan’s acceleration.

"How annoying... That guy’s like a somewhat weaker... but perhaps even trickier Morgana."

She then sighed a second time while looking toward Lilith for a moment. "Can’t we recruit him instead of cutting his head off? Such a waste... I could finally retire if he replaced me."

"Void." Lilith’s voice cut across the roaring skies. "Stop holding back."

Void sighed once again just before her aura bloomed outward in a ripple that distorted the very air. She blinked once, and space tore before them. She leapt a hundred meters forward. Again, closer still. Each skip consumed her mana in great gulps; both ’transporters’ were expending mana in incredible amounts.

By the fifth blink, the air between hunter and hunted had shrunk.

Scar’s voice carried on the wind, sharp as her knife-edge.

"We’re within her range."

Black Fang’s eyes blazed.

The katana in her hands hummed with Orochi’s power, a violet fire that was coursing down its length.

Her weight settled perfectly despite being strapped to Quinlan’s moving body. Then...

A slash.

The skies screamed as a massive arc of violet energy tore forward in the form of a shockwave. It shrieked like the serpent’s phantom howl, ripping across the sky toward the Scarlet Lilies.

Lilith didn’t flinch even as death itself was staring her right in the face. Her own blade rose in response, and her Spellblade magic surged. She cut down hard.

Her shockwave roared outward, cleaving against Black Fang’s.

The two forces slammed together.

But only one won.

After a momentary impasse in their clash, Black Fang’s strike ripped through Lilith’s spell, continuing to rush toward the group.

"Tch," Lilith instantly understood what was going on. Black Fang was standing on solid ground, supported by Quinlan’s magic. This allowed her to be as effective as possible, nearly making it feel as if she was standing on Thalorind’s skin, if not outright replicating the stability that came from that.

At the same time, Lilith herself was hovering in the air, tethered to Void through her magic. She was nowhere near solid ground; she couldn’t plant her feet anywhere.

"Void, you’re being kinda outclassed by that guy, no?" Bronnya laughed, seeing how Quinlan was more effective as a transport. At least when it came to battle functionality.

Void could’ve mounted a defense case where she explained she was not only gaining distance on the man but that she was doing so while carrying four people, while he only did one, but the void mage knew better than anyone that reasoning with this muscle-brained idiot was a waste of energy.

"Is that so? Maybe we really should consider recruiting him then," she grumbled. Lilith, Scar, and Jallen all noted how a great deal of venom suddenly found its way into her tone, but Bronnya was none the wiser.

"Heh, sure! I don’t mind, he seems like a stud. The masses wouldn’t think that we’re raging lesbians if we had a guy like that in our midst."

"No one thinks that about us. We’re respected by all," Lilith declared, delusional as all hell.

She was ignored by the rest.

"So you really would like it if I left..." Void’s brilliantly shining eyes narrowed into very dangerous slits. Her usually lazy aura became cold, bitter, and hostile.

"Hey, I didn’t say that-"

Too late.

Void’s fingers snapped, and Bronnya’s tether burst her into place at the front of the group.

The tanker blinked, wide-eyed. "Wait, wha-"

The violet shockwave slammed into her with an explosion of light and force. She was burned by the sheer venomous energy, though her armor and shield sparked as they managed to catch the brunt of it.

Blood sprayed from her lips as she twisted like a rag doll, only to be violently yanked back into formation by the tether.

Bronnya spat crimson and coughed. "What a petty and jealous woman you are, Void..."

Then she growled, defiant even as her arms shook. "But it’s fine. I’m here to tank!"

Her eyes then found Black Fang in the distance. "That woman truly can bite. Bleeding like a slaughtered pig, standing on some man’s back as they tear through the sky, and she still cuts this hard?!"

"Focus," Lilith snapped as another slash tore the air. Then another. Black Fang’s arms moved like machines of war, every stroke of her katana releasing violet crescents that carved straight at them.

Lilith gritted her teeth as she answered with wave after wave of Spellblade arts. Sparks of colliding shockwaves lit the skies like miniature suns.

Jallen, meanwhile, thrust her spear. The weapon darted forward with impossible speed, straight into the heart of a shockwave. Her technique pierced through the violet energy and dissipated it into harmless fragments.

At the same time, Scar’s hands flicked. Knives of condensed magic whistled through the air, homing straight at Black Fang’s chest.

The woman didn’t blink.

Her katana blurred, releasing one, two, three slashes.

The knives shattered into glowing shards. She swept the last cut wide, sending another serpent-fueled shockwave roaring back in the same motion.

The Lilies moved as one. Void’s tethers tugged, pulling her sisters into position, shifting formations.

Lilith cut the next strike. Jallen pierced the one after. Bronnya braced, teeth gritting, as a wave smashed against her shield.

From Quinlan’s vantage, it was madness. He now understood why they were considered the best human adventurer group; they were simply far too good, far too versatile. This was why the Scarlet Lilies were feared. Together, they really could fight anything in any environment.

Somehow, despite Black Fang being such a badass warrior who was backed up by the living cheat known as Quinlan Elysiar, they made the aerial battlefield equal.

Neither side broke. The heavens above burned violet, white, and red as shockwaves crisscrossed like cannon fire, every impact booming with enough force to shake the clouds apart.

But Quinlan wasn’t content to remain a mere pegasus any longer.

He made his move.
