Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1283 Black Fang Gang

Chapter 1283  Black Fang Gang

"You're back."

The voice floated out in a nonchalant, expressionless tone.

Both Quinlan and Ayame recognized it instantly.

Black Fang.

"I am," Orianna replied, just as matter-of-factly. She stood in front of the woman, fully rejuvenated from her state of death. Well, at least she did so on the surface. Quinlan didn't know if she was truly back in full force, or if she needed more time to regain everything she was before, but he already knew this skill of hers was one heck of a cheat.

The pink-haired, floral pattern-inked woman spoke up next. "I would ask to be updated, but my new friend already did that for me."

She said it with a great deal of pride.

Raika, who had been leaning against the wall, stiffened.

She was still covered in bruises and cuts from the night of raiding and killing, as she, too, participated.

These injuries were the kind that colored every line of her toned, scarred body. Her muscles caught the light from the nearby building whenever she shifted. For once, she hadn't been knocked out cold… though by the look of her, she had been one punch away from it.

"A… friend?" Raika repeated with so much disbelief evident on her face that one would think she was told the sky is pink.

Vex stepped into view with that familiar air of playfulness around her. "You," she looked at Orianna, "a friend?"

Their shock was evident for all to see.

Quinlan couldn't help wondering if both of them were overplaying it for theatrics.

Just a bit.

And just like this, the whole Black Fang gang was back together. The master stood in the center, and her three disciples gathered around her, already visibly excited. The two younger ones, at least. Black Fang and Orianna kept their faces unreadable.

Until Orianna cut a look at the group, far too unamused.

"You're very shocked for something this simple. I don't like it."

Raika immediately snapped into a battle stance, feet braced, arms lifted in a guarded martial posture. It was the sort of stance that suggested she expected a brutal beating to arrive in the next heartbeat.

This said a lot about Raika's perceived understanding of Orianna's temper.

Vex wasn't nearly as alarmed. She huffed, planted two hands on her hip, and asked, "Can you blame us? You're almost four hundred years old, and the last time I checked, you didn't have any friends except me and Raika."

Orianna rolled her eyes. "You are not my friends, you're my colleagues. I do not associate with crazy willingly."

"Thanks, big sis. I love you too~" Vex purred with a vein visibly throbbing on her forehead.

Warmth seeped into the reunion, even through the dryness, the barbs, the bruises, the stoic faces. It felt like the four of them had simply stepped back into place, as if nothing had ever pulled them apart.

"What friend?" Black Fang asked. Quinlan found even such a simple gesture from the woman to be extraordinary. She never asked personal questions like this, showing that the relationship between her and Orianna seemed to be deep.

Both Ayame and he found it more than reasonable, however, as Vex was around two hundred years old, Raika one hundred fifty, but then Orianna was pushing four hundred, and Black Fang was just barely over it, making the two of them nearly the same age.

They could guess that the two went way back, evidenced by the fact that Black Fang didn't seem to be treating the pink-haired woman as a disciple.

Perhaps Orianna had graduated a long time ago and was now an equal, or almost.

It made sense, after all, back when Quinlan was more active with the Vesper Consortium's politics, he heard that Orianna was one of the strongest Veil Walker-ranked members, and if one of the seven heads died or retired, there was a chance she'd be promoted in their stead.

He wouldn't be shocked to learn she was above level 70, if not enjoying the Heavenly Restriction's warm embrace already.

Orianna's face underwent a noticeable change as the question registered in her head. Her neutral expression loosened as a spark of excitement slipped through before she even tried to stop it. In fact, she did not try one bit.

Instead, she spread her arms in a dramatic sweep, and a smirk was forming on her lips.

"The most beautiful being to have ever been created! The epitome of nature itself! Its rightful little empress!" Her voice warmed as she continued. "A one-of-a-kind child of the forest, born of grace and-"

"My Hubby jizzed on a tree once."

Orianna halted mid-rave.

"What?"

"He blessed a tree with his seed," Vex elaborated without shame.

All three women stared at her as if she had finally snapped.

"Okay… congrats…?" Orianna ventured, clearly confused. "Vex, I knew you were a deranged lunatic already, but it appears you rapidly deteriorated during my absence."

A second vein throbbed on the gorgeous yandere's forehead. "You're not getting it." Vex sighed, lowering her tone as if she were explaining a profound tragedy. "That tree was a very peculiar one… The rarest of its kind, a living entity, a-"

Orianna's eyes widened.

"No… no way."

"Yes way." Vex puffed her chest with full, glowing pride. "My primordial Hubby's Blessed Seed met with the bark of a Geim tree, and our daughter was born!"

She said it like she was announcing the rise of a new empire.

Hearing that, with a samurai who tried and failed to silence her amused laughter behind him, Quinlan finally stepped forward. He reached out and planted his palm on the white-haired beauty's thick hair, pressing down in a firm, scolding pat.

"Ah!" Vex let out a sharp, startled yelp. Or at least she pretended to. Because in the next moment, her head snapped in his direction, and with glinting red eyes that were far too mesmerizing, she mused, "I wondered how long you'd stay there. You know it's bad form to spy on four ladies~? Aren't you a self-proclaimed 'certified gentleman'~?"
