Chapter 1853: Dream Fulfilled
Chapter 1853: Dream Fulfilled
Even now, wrecked, crying, running on the last fumes of a brain the venom had foreclosed on, Ayame’s eyes found her sister’s hand against her cheek, and a grin broke through the wreckage, small and victorious.
"So be it," Black Fang spoke softly. "I forgive you."
"...Sister!" Ayame’s voice came out a breathless gasp, full of relief.
Then her eyes wandered. "Your hand..."
The hand withdrew.
"It was shaking~"
The tilde was back, because of course it was.
The venom could strip her composure, her dignity, her motor function, and every gram of her bratty front, but it could not reach the part of Ayame that found cracks in her elder sister’s armor.
"I am conducting remedial correction."
"Shaking~"
Black Fang’s eyes narrowed.
Quinlan stopped.
His hips stilled, his hands gentled in her hair, and for one merciful heartbeat the venom had nothing new to work with.
Ayame lay gasping in his arms, every nerve still ringing, and the reprieve felt so total that her brain began tentatively accepting applications for rehire.
Then he looked down at her, and his expression was far too familiar.
"A cheeky brat to the end, I see~" he purred, full of affection. He loved this woman.
But Ayame knew that tone. At least, when used on her in the bedroom, it could only mean one thing...
Her eyes went wide. "Wait-"
He buried himself to the root, launching Ayame clean off the floorboards, and held.
The venom met the deepest part of her and detonated.
"HYAAAHN❤️❤️!!"
Her legs shot out rigid on either side of him, trembling violently, toes curling hard enough to shake on their own. The orgasm that ripped through her bore no resemblance to the ones before it. This one started from her beyond-drenched folds and tore through everything the venom owned, and her whole body seized in his arms, back bowing against his chest, heels kicking at nothing.
"I... it won’t... STOP... AaAHN!!"
Her release hit the sacred floorboards of the Fujimori dawn dojo from above, a brutal soaking flood that drenched his thighs, splattered the heritage wood, and pooled across the grain in a dark tide the school’s founding precepts had no protocol for.
Black Fang rose and retreated two steps ahead of the advancing front.
"Quin... Quin... QUIIIN❤️❤️❤️!!"
Her body clenched and released around him in long helpless waves, each one wringing another wet rush out of her that rained down onto the boards below. Her legs jerked and trembled in the air with every spasm, until the flood had claimed everything within reach and a few things that had believed themselves safely at a distance.
When the cascading orgasm finally ended, a very long time later, her legs dropped limp against his, her body went boneless in his arms, and the last aftershock rolled through her like a shudder through a shipwreck.
"You... bastard... I’ll... kill... you!"
Came the cute whimpers, making Quinlan’s heart sing with joy.
Taking care of this amazing girl’s unique needs was always a hard task, but he was happy to do his best.
Quinlan laid her down on the dry side of the floor with absurd gentleness, the kind of care you’d give something precious and breakable. He brushed the matted hair from her face and tucked a strand behind her ear, then pulled a discarded fold of ritual silk over her and smoothed it at the corners as if the blanket’s alignment was a matter of genuine importance.
"This was..." Ayame breathed into the floor, eyes closed, "the best duel ever... Better than I ever... Could’ve imagined..."
She went silent, and quiet took the hall, all at once.
Quinlan straightened his spine, hands on his hips, and exhaled.
"Haaah... Another job well done."
He looked utterly smug with himself.
Then his eyes met the other conscious person’s.
"..."
Snow fell past the doors.
The brazier worked through its coals.
"It was great to see this side of you. I had a lot of fun," Quinlan smiled.
"There is no side." Black Fang’s voice came flat and immediate. "I helped correct a brat. I’ve done so many times already with Vex."
Quinlan took a step toward her.
"You corrected Vex’s behavior over the years no doubt, but not like you did today."
"Today was no different."
Quinlan was still naked, still marked with everything the night had put on him, Ayame’s thunderous releases visible on his thighs and the firelight making thorough use of every line of muscle it found.
He wore none of it with shame and all of it with sheer confidence.
"Come on, now." The grin widened. "Don’t go crawling back into your shell. You’re finally showing what’s underneath it. It’s wonderful."
Black Fang watched him come.
She watched the way her little sister’s cocky, insufferable, shamelessly naked lover closed distance on her, unhurried and certain, and she did not like it one bit.
Her head tilted. A predator’s motion, the one that preceded a kill, and she took a step of her own.
Their eyes stayed locked, two territorial psychopaths who refused to be taken out of their element.
Two steps apart, then one.
Her hand came up and landed flat on his chest, fingers spread, and held him there.
Cold.
"You are far too comfortable around me."
Quinlan’s eyes lit up. He opened his mouth to answer.
"Don’t get the wrong idea." Her palm pressed harder, silencing him. "Everything that happened in that cell, I did for myself."
She pushed him back half a step with a confidence that matched his own.
"You were a cow with life-saving milk, and my life was in danger, so I milked you. That is the entirety of what occurred."
Quinlan’s grin began its slow, terrible climb from the corner of his mouth toward his ear.
"And what you whispered into my ear? How do you explain that, Miss Terror?"
"It expedited the extraction," Black Fang replied without a fraction of a heartbeat’s delay. "A strategic move. Nothing more."
The grin reached both ears. Two unhinged predators stood a hand-span apart in the wreckage of a dawn dojo, one of them dripping with evidence and grinning like the devil himself, the other flat-eyed and immovable, and neither of them blinked.
Quinlan then took the last step, pushing through her hand until her palm bent against his chest and his fingers found her chin and tilted it up.
"I don’t believe you."
He turned her head to the side in his palm while her eyes remained closely locked onto his.
"You’re a liar, Black Fang~"
The temperature fell out of the room.
Black Fang’s aura hit the hall like a door slamming, pure dread and menace flooding the air between them.
The brazier’s flames leaned sideways and dimmed. Her bent arm straightened against his chest, her palm locking flat, and the violet in her eyes went thin and bright as venom in a needle.
Teeth bared in the same space, neither yielding a fraction, the air between them so charged it hummed.
"Say that again."
Quinlan’s grin didn’t waver. "Sure."
If anything, it sharpened.
"You are a liar, Black Fang."
The snow stopped falling past the veranda. The coals in the brazier went dark.
