Their kiss didnt end quickly.

It took long, burning minutes before their lips finally parted. Reluctantly, breathlessly, both of them gasping for air. And when they did break apart, Serikas eyes burned with a smoldering heat that glowed brighter than any flame. There was still the proud fire of a warrior in those eyes, yes... but now it danced with something else.

Something softer.

Something that looked an awful lot like twin pairs of hearts.

Serika beamed a beautiful smile at him. She did not look one bit like someone shy or uncertain, but like someone who had made a decision with the full force of her will.

"So... whats next?"

Quinlans grin curled slowly and smoothly across his lips. "As I said... this relationship the two of us now share is all about love and freedom. Youre free to do whatever you want, Serika. You want to fight, you fight. You want to run, you run. You want to rest, you rest."

He tilted his head, a much more playful expression dancing on his lips now. "But if you ask me? A celebratory round of sex sounds like an absolutely incredible idea right now."

She huffed a small laugh, eyes flickering in amusement. "Ive heard about it plenty. Even if my focus was elsewhere in life, ignoring the chatter of my servants was impossible. Honestly, Quin, Im not a pleasure-seeker. I always craved the rush of battle and sense of progression more than anything else. But right now..."

She looked him up and down, smirk softening. She took a deep breath and then exhaled, sighing:

"It sounds like a damn amazing plan."

Then she paused. Blinking with uncertainty.

"... I just dont know where to begin."

Quinlans hand found hers again, wrapping around it gently. "You dont need to worry about that. I like to give each of my women a first time thats just theirs. Just the two of us, no distractions. A moment just for you. So youll never have to feel afraid about any potential embarrassment."

Serika instantly shook her head.

"No."

"No?"

Her voice was calm and resolute as she explained her train of thought. "The others are preparing for your long-awaited reunion. Theyre excited to finally have their husband back. I wouldnt want to... skip ahead. Take a piece of you just for me. What would they think of me? They wait months for you to return, and the first thing you do is lie with the new chick to ease her insecurities?"

"Theyd understand," he said. "In fact, they might not even realize. Theyre off to do whatever it is they need to prepare, so theyll be off for a bit."

She cut him off with a gentle press of her fingers to his lips, a soft, gorgeous smile blooming across her face.

"Quinlan... I joined a harem. I not only want to be a part of it, but I want to fully embrace the harem. These women... theyre my sisters now. Even if they wouldnt mind... Hell, even if they wouldnt even know about it, I want to share this moment with them."

Her eyes sparkled, and a low chuckle escaped her lips. "Sounds a little like a team battle, doesnt it?"

Quinlan laughed, the sound warm and full. "It is. The stronger I become, the more strategy they need to employ to make me want to raise the white flag. Now, after all the upgrades I got in Zhenwu... Oh dear. You girls are in for one giant challenge." ᚱÀŊǒ𐌱ЕŚ

Serikas ears perked the moment the word "challenge" left his lips.

Her eyes gleamed like a warrior whod just heard a battle horn sound across a quiet valley.

"You know damn well I dont back down from any challenge," she declared, fists planting firmly on his chest. Her grin was battle-ready.

Seeing this adorable sight, Quinlans laugh rumbled deep in his chest, the kind of sound that dripped with arrogance and promise. That trademark smugness of his returned to his eyes, lighting them up with mischievous fire.

"Oh, I know," he whispered, stroking the hand she placed on him. "But if you think a virginno matter how fieryis gonna keep up with a man whos been able to satisfy an entire harem of turbo horny sexual deviants... Youre in for the humbling of a lifetime, Solar Fist."

He leaned into her ear, whispering, "Theyre carnivorous beasts, Serika. Insatiable. Creative. Youre not stepping into a bedroom. Youre entering a battlefield that never sleeps."

Serikas heart skipped a beat, but her grin only widened, eyes flaring with determination.

"...Then Ill just have to train harder. Adapt. Overcome. Conquer."

He chuckled, loving this amazing woman dearly. "Now youre talking."

They stood like that for a long time, chatting with one another. The orange and purple hues of dusk had deepened into the velvety indigo of night, with the first stars flickering to life above them.

There was no tension. No rush. Only peace, and something more.

Belonging.

And then...

An incoming [Masters Link] call. No, multiple of them. Seven, to be exact.

A chorus of familiar voices rang through, layered over each other in excitement:

<Were ready!>

<Everythings set!>

"Lets get the ball rolling then," Quinlan decreed with a mad grin, way too eager to finally embrace his lovers after all these months.

A shimmer of light split the air in front of him as the [Warp Gate] flared to life, casting ripples through the courtyard.

And the first thing to emerge...

Was a foot.

Elegant, pale, and unmistakably elven with high arches, slender toes, and a delicate anklet that jingled with every movement. It stepped forward onto the cool earth with the grace of moonlight.

Before Quinlan could even trace his gaze higher, a voice slipped through the portal. It was smooth, sultry, and unmistakably teasing.

"Ah ah... no peeking, master~"

Seraphiel.

The warmth in her voice was playful, but the command beneath it was firm. He wasnt to look.

"Even now, youre going to make me wait?"

"Especially now," she purred with her gorgeous elven voice. "After leaving poor little us lonely and desperate for so long... some punishment is in order, dont you think?"

"Hey, I was doing my best to finish as soon as I possibly could! I should be commended, not punished!"

"Oh really?" she quipped, her voice becoming just as sharp as it was sweet. "So just because you did your very best, you deserve praise? What about a husband who has the best intentions in the world, but loses all their savings and brings his family into crippling debt? Should he be praised for trying his best, too?"

Behind him, Serika burst out laughing, arms crossed, clearly enjoying the banter.

Quinlan, however, let out a low grumble. "My situation can never be compared to such failures! Your analogy was way off this time around. My cheeky elf became way too unfair while I was away."

"People change... Maybe if you were around more, youd notice," Seraphiel replied with a lilting tone.

Of course, she still loved Quinlan just as deeply as ever. Perhaps even more than ever. And, yes, she understood better than anyone that he wasnt the kind of man to mess around while knowing there was a chance time passed in Thalorind, and thus they were awaiting his return with worried hearts. Her rational mind accepted that completely.

But her heart? Her heart had other priorities.

It didnt care about missions or necessity. It only knew the ache of his absence. It missed his warmth, his teasing, his voice at night, the way they fell asleep wrapped in one anothers arms. She wanted him nearby, not just out of sheer neediness, but simply because everything felt right when he was close.

And though she was an elf, raised in the rhythms of the slow life... the few months of his absence felt like a cruel eternity. Time shouldve passed like a gentle breeze.

But instead, it felt like millennia.

She finally approached Quinlan from behind.
