Chapter 2774: Chapter 2774: Killing You Would Dirty My Hands!
"Yeah, true."
Qii Ying thought about it and agreed with what he said.
It’s best for them to keep their identities hidden, getting caught by the camp wouldn’t end well.
Not sure why, but Camp Zhan Yun had put up a lot of obstacles for them; even if it was unintentional, things might not go well, and they could be exposed.
"I heard from the boss that the mission failed this time; only one person was killed. The higher-ups are furious. If we mess up here again, I’m afraid..."
The person delivering food made a throat-slicing gesture, which was already obvious enough of a warning.
"Tsk, tsk."
Qii Ying clicked his tongue twice, his expression turning a bit unpleasant.
Sometimes he wondered how he ended up on this pirate ship.
He regretted it, but it was too late for regret now. Getting off was impossible; the only option left was to work hard and ensure his side was the final winner.
"Looks like we better tread carefully for a while," he said in a low voice.
It’s not too bad for him though, just keeping an eye on the plane’s entrance, as long as the inter-plane travelers don’t come back, the higher-ups won’t pay attention to him.
"Watch out for yourself."
"Alright, I have to go. Keep watching." The person delivering food didn’t want to talk to Qii Ying any longer, tidied up the dishes from the previous meal, and left.
Just when he thought he could become a leader, he ended up being the one delivering food.
Oh well, just let it be. It’s way better than those outside who live on the edge of life and death, not knowing when they’ll meet their end. At least he gets to live longer.
Qii Ying squinted, watching the person leave, before turning his gaze to a subordinate nearby who was curling his neck.
"Heh, got guts now, huh? Daring to talk back to me?"
He placed his meal on the ground, stood up, went to the subordinate, and grabbed him by the neck.
"Hiss!"
The others around gasped sharply at the sight.
But no one felt sorry for the subordinate. Trying to climb over the boss, especially right in front of him, wasn’t that courting death? Served him right!
They all wanted to climb up, same as anyone else, but they wouldn’t be as rash as that guy.
Someone who snitches without considering the occasion, what’s the use of keeping them around? Who knows when they might drag them down; better for them to just die quickly.
"Boss, I... I was wrong."
The subordinate struggled to breathe, his face flushed red, admitting his mistake instinctively.
He really didn’t mean it, just wanted to give a reminder, what if those two really were something? They should at least send someone to check, right? Even if they aren’t in the end, checking would give some peace of mind.
"Don’t... don’t kill me... boss..."
"Kill you?"
Qii Ying let out a cold snort.
He’s not going to kill that dog here, especially not at the plane’s entrance.
They have to watch the entrance for anyone coming through; he can’t just deal with another body to bury, isn’t it exhausting? Besides, messing with him in person only to kill him would be too lenient.
"Killing you would dirty my hands!"
He knocked the guy out cold, planning to deal with this traitor when it’s his turn to rest.
"You guys keep a close watch on him, and if he dares to run, break his legs." He tossed the man into the bushes and instructed the others.
