Chapter 837: A Experience To Die For
Chapter 837: A Experience To Die For
Dying certainly isn’t easy, but now that Onest was already on the verge of dying, he felt like doing anything to protect his family.
Vritra and the others felt bad, if possible Vritra didn’t want to use the backup, but there really wasn’t much choice.
BOOM BOOM
More and more bodies exploded, but because of the world’s rules limiting the level of destruction, they were unable to kill all the clones at once.
Anne did her best to quickly kill Onest, pouring more energy into destroying him.
His organs had become twisted, getting torn apart, bones cracking and skin bursting open.
She didn’t know how he was even managing this, but that guy, even as death was about to engulf him, didn’t stop.
"Damnit!! Stop this, you madman!!" Anne screamed, her body slowly getting pushed towards the cracking window.
The clones held tightly onto the players and finally...
CRACK CRACK
The glass shattered and dozens of clones fell into the fog from such a high floor.
A few Level 3 demigods also fell down, Onest was determined to bring them all down with himself.
He just had to stay alive until then.
’A bit more, a little...’
But then a hand grew on his head and tore into his brain.
All thoughts were cut off, Onest didn’t immediately die, but the pain disappeared and what remained was pure and unbending determination.
All the clones screamed at once, creating a shuddering effect as they all rushed towards Anne.
She kept killing them, but their numbers were pushing her out, Red Moustache was also falling, but he was farther away from Anne.
"Aaaaaaaah!"
A Level 4 demigod fell, screaming in terror.
It was certain death for them.
The screams disappeared the moment he got swallowed by the fog.
Anne wasn’t afraid of the fog, she just needed to get that crown, and it was on Onest’s original body, as she had seen before.
It was definitely the real thing, she could feel it.
But this was the illusion created by the Misty Essence, Vritra couldn’t use it at full power as it would reveal them, but he had very slightly altered their thoughts.
With a grave expression, Vritra watched as the almost dead Onest jumped out of the building and Anne, while screaming, followed behind him.
"Give that to me, you damned bug!!" she screamed, not worried about the fog, and finally got a hold of it.
The moment she got it, she killed Onest with a slash of her hand.
The mark of the flag glowed and then his body broke into tiny particles, disappearing completely.
But there was a smile on his bloodied and bruised face, a raw, mocking smile directed at Anne.
A couple of Level 3 demigods still remained in the building, one Level 4 and the Level 5 also managed to stay there.
As Onest’s focus was mainly on the Level 6 ones, unfortunately Red Moustache also managed to survive.
He was close to the window and could see the unbelievably terrifying creature that rose from the fog.
It made him shiver, the monster attacked Anne right away, cutting off and devouring one of her arms.
Finally seeing the true horror, a form so grotesque that it made her insides churn, Anne was terrified.
She understood the meaning behind that mocking smile, so this was their plan, she was truly afraid.
These monsters, weren’t they supposed to only hunt Level 4 demigods? Why were they so horrifying?
Her face was full of fear and pain as the distorted creature tore her arm away, eating it.
The sight of watching it eat her arm almost made her vomit, but her body burst with energy as she tried to escape.
Then she disappeared, her fate unknown.
Back in the office, the remaining five of the original seventeen all looked just as fearful, Red Moustache shivered.
He took several steps back but heard a loud scream from behind.
"RAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!"
The startled five turned back and saw a metallic bald man rushing in their direction. As the strongest, Red Moustache knew for a fact that he would be the next target.
Gritting his teeth and tightening his muscles, he braced for the impact.
BANG
But the bull-like charging man struck the Level 5 demigod not far away, changing direction at the very last moment.
"Eh?" the frightened Level 5 was finally able to relax, but suddenly felt as if a mountain had crashed into him.
He coughed blood and his body was thrown back at such a high speed that he didn’t even have the time to do anything.
Not to mention the fog was climbing onto the building, he screamed and was soon swallowed by it.
"Haha! That was perfect!!" Shitless patted his shoulder, barely stopping himself from falling.
Then he glanced to the side at the four baffled people who looked back at him in utter shock.
"Pfftt, hahahaha!" Shitless burst out laughing, shouting, "What is that moustache? Did someone shit on your face? Is that poop?"
"You bastard!!"
Shitless had touched his soft spot, filling Red Moustache with killing intent.
This moustache was his pride, even without his energy, he could still kill these guys.
BOOOM
But before he could launch an attack, there was a powerful explosion just beside them, and the two Level 3 demigods were also blasted outside.
The monsters in the fog were having a feast, those players were torn apart and eaten by them.
The screams lasted only a few moments before the body parts of those players ended up in the monsters’ bellies.
In the office, now only one Level 4 and one Level 6 demigod remained.
Both were terrified, Red Moustache still had a fight left in him, but the Level 4 demigod didn’t want to fight.
He knelt and began to beg, but knew his fate was sealed, how could those people trust him?
He just didn’t want to die like that, not after coming so far.
On the other hand, Red Moustache walked away from the window quickly, he could kill them easily but still had to be careful.
Just as he got ready to fight the disrespectful baldie, the other guy laughed and ran deeper into the building.
Vritra, who had finally moved out of the hiding spot, walked towards the office.
First, he observed and sensed that Onest had returned to the lowest floor of the building where they had gotten the flag.
All the dozers had exploded earlier, and that place was far safer, and it seemed he wasn’t injured either.
’Thankfully, it works fine.’
It was a gamble, but Vritra was ready to take any risk to save Onest if he ended up outside.
"And who are you?" Red Moustache turned to face Vritra, pulling the Level 4 demigod up, they had to fight together.
"I am here to kill you, are you both ready?" Vritra asked, twisting his wrist as a cracking sound rang out.
"Haha. With just you? Or have you got more of those traps set up here for me?" Red Moustache asked, he wasn’t being careless despite his confidence.
Anne was stupid, if she had known how dangerous it was outside, they wouldn’t have managed to throw her out there.
They won’t succeed with him anyway.
