"W- Wait, let me charge my powers..."
It was the dawn of the next day, and Shitless was once again stuck inside a building.
They had already travelled to Town 3, there might still be other level 6 or level 5 demi gods alive.
So Shitless revealed a big secret to Blue Moustache and Bulldog.
"The ones who kill the most anomalies will get a special reward from the gods, so unless you want to benefit others, let’s hide and quickly clear everything."
It is in most creatures’ nature to be greedy.
So, using their greed, Shitless made sure they wouldn’t reveal their great secret to anyone else.
Instead, they would secretly travel through all the towns and clear the anomalies.
Therefore, Blue Moustache and Bulldog didn’t search for anyone and even remained hidden.
Waiting for Sonia’s powers to recharge.
In Town 2, Vritra had already cleared two anomalies, and two calamities had been killed.
They searched for the second flag, which was rather easy to find thanks to Yasmine and the compass.
"And we are done with two towns, let’s head to the next one." Vritra spoke. Instead of flying, they decided to take a taxi.
The cars here looked completely different from those on Earth and moved a little slower.
They didn’t want to waste any more time in this game than necessary, quickly making their way toward Town 3.
"We still need to be careful of the level 6 demi gods. I wonder how many are still alive." Yennefer wondered out loud.
But with their strength, barely any of them should have died.
At least two were already dead.
"Darling, should we use the same method we used against Anne on the other level 6 demi gods? At least we can take care of those two idiots." Fiona asked as she sat facing Vritra.
"Yeah, it can certainly work against them, but against the others, I’m not so sure. There should still be some level 5 demi gods alive." Vritra replied. More than strength, brains were being used in this game.
"There is a berserk gas I found in Zihong’s treasures, he probably planned to use it against Husband. It would make a person go mad with rage, to the point they would even start hurting themselves." Teresa suddenly spoke before adding,
"But using it is a little dangerous. Even we could be affected, and I’m not sure how large an area it would cover."
"Then let’s put it aside for now. We will only use it if there is no other choice. Anything else useful in there?" Vritra asked.
"No, only that gas can work against level 6 demi gods, nothing else." Teresa shrugged.
The vehicle continued moving forward, and before long they entered the third town.

"My powers are back! Now stop grovelling and follow me!"
With each passing day, Sonia’s attitude became more arrogant.
Only while her powers were recharging did she remain humble.
The same process played out once again.
Sonia guided the two demi gods to the calamity, with Vritra using Misty Essence to control the scene while the women went to search for the anomaly.
Once they found it and Vritra arrived, all of them attacked together and killed it.

Yasmine didn’t set any further laws. She experimented and discovered that the number of unused laws could actually be carried over.
So now she could still create five more laws.

"You pests, what are you waiting for? Go and tear it apart! Heh, can’t even do one job properly, you dogs!"
Standing behind them, Sonia pointed toward an eagle-like anomaly while cursing.
The two demi gods had grown used to her behaviour by now, though they were still quite annoyed. They wanted to kill her, but she might be related to the gods.
So they could only endure it.
"Huh? Someone is approaching!" Vritra, who was hidden, suddenly exclaimed, and only Sonia heard his voice.
"W- What? Is it a player? Level 5 or 6?" Shitless hurriedly turned around, staring toward the entrance in bewilderment.
"H- Hey, someone is coming!" Sonia quickly shouted toward the two fighting demi gods.
"Ughh, who is it?" Bulldog growled.
"Heh, does it matter now? We have already killed eight anomalies, nine if we count this one too. We are already going to get that godly treasure, let them come and witness our greatness."
Soon, a limping frog-like person walked inside. His skin was green, and fist-sized bumps covered his entire body.
"Froggy? Haha, I knew you would be alive, but where is your brother?" Blue Moustache asked without stopping his assault.
Froggy slowly looked around before focusing his gaze on them.
"What’s going on here? Why are you fighting that thing?"
Seeing Froggy’s expression, Vritra had a bad feeling.
Things had been going too smoothly.
And now a problem had appeared.
’Looks like I’ll have to depend on Misty Essence yet again. I hope it works.’
He quickly created different illusions for both sides.
"What do you mean? It’s an anomaly, so of course we have to kill it." Bulldog replied while delivering a powerful attack to the eagle’s head.
"Oh haha, you beat me to it. How many anomalies have you cleared?" Froggy asked, or rather, the illusion the two of them were seeing asked.
"Hahaha, we have already killed nine anomalies. Can you believe it? All thanks to the support given by the gods."
On the other hand, Vritra created a completely different illusion for Froggy.
"That is not even an anomaly, so why are you fighting it?"
’How does this guy know?’ Vritra wondered while remaining hidden beneath Misty Essence.
"Yeah, we know that. We’re just repaying a favour. Someone helped us, so we’re doing the same for them." Blue Moustache replied with a laugh.
"..."
Froggy stared at the illusion.
Then his gaze shifted toward Sonia, who stood there like a statue with a stiff smile.
Finally, his eyes turned toward Vritra’s direction, almost giving him goosebumps.
’He... can see me?’
Instantly, Vritra felt a violent buzz from the compass in his pocket.
It was the strongest danger signal yet.
’He really saw me!’
Vritra could immediately tell there was something unusual about Froggy’s eyes.
He really could partially see through Misty Essence.
How was that even possible?
But this wasn’t the time to think about it.
Without hesitation, he sprinted toward Shitless, disappearing.
Froggy didn’t move as Vritra grabbed Sonia’s shoulder and teleported away.
The illusion collapsed, but the two demi gods continued fighting, noticing nothing unusual.
After one final powerful attack, they finally killed the eagle-like anomaly, tearing it into thousands of pieces.
Messages immediately appeared before their eyes, but neither of them bothered reading them.
Bulldog laughed and walked toward Froggy, already preparing to brag.
"So, how many anomalies did you clear? Let me guess... zero? Kukukuku! We just killed the ninth! So how about calling me Big D-"
Bulldog stopped midway.
A trembling hand had landed on his shoulder.
"What’s the matter?" He looked back.
"L- Look at the messages. This is strange. Something is very wrong!"
Bulldog sighed and lazily glanced at the notifications.
What could possibly be wrong? Weren’t they always the same?

"W- What? Calamity? Shouldn’t it say anomaly? What... happened? Oh right, Sonia! What is the meaning of this... huh? Where is she?" Bulldog roared, only to discover the woman had vanished.
"Gi gigigigigi!"
Froggy burst into laughter.
Holding his stomach, he rolled around on the ground.
"T- This bastard... what is happening?" The two felt their minds go blank as reality slowly began sinking in, though neither wanted to accept it.
"They made complete fools out of you. Gigi! Did you not see that man? Well, he was hidden extremely well, so I doubt you noticed him. And that woman... no, it was actually a bald man, you idiots." Froggy wiped away tears of laughter.
Then he began explaining.
While hiding from the fog monsters, he had found a gift sent by the gods.
In such high-level games, the gods could send gifts to anyone they believed was performing exceptionally well.
Of course, there were limits. They couldn’t send anything too overpowered.
And the gods, who had long ago discovered the chaos inside the game, were filled with rage.
Yet they couldn’t directly enter or interfere with it and could only watch as Vritra’s group rampaged through everything.
They were so close to victory.
So they decided to neutralize Vritra’s greatest support.
It was a talisman that allowed Froggy to receive information directly from the gods while also letting him slightly see through Misty Essence.
But the effect was still too weak, otherwise he would have caught them much earlier.
Then Bulldog shared everything that had happened, proudly explaining how they had been "killing anomalies" all this time.
The two suddenly felt like complete clowns.
"Ughh, I’m going to kill them! RAAARRRRRRR!" Bulldog roared.
