Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill

Chapter 876: Amitabha~

Chapter 876: Amitabha~

Vritra paused for a moment in front of the temple, his mind was suddenly overwhelmed by a mess of foreign sensations and memories.

Maybe it won’t affect the higher beings much, their vast consciousness capable of filtering such intrusions, but it was too much for someone who is merely a demi god, the assault on his mind nearly staggering.

Soon however, the effects disappeared automatically, fading away as his will asserted dominance.

’What was that?’ Vritra frowned deeply, was that sensation used on higher beings to subtly change them over time?

Or to keep weak people away from the temple’s inner sanctum?

Whatever might be the case, Vritra was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard some chanting from inside, voices raised in unison.

"Love live the great Buddha!"

"Om mani padme hum!"

"Amitabha!"

The chants echoed through the stone walls, creating an almost hypnotic resonance.

Without waiting he rushed into the temple, climbing the long stairs since using his abilities might expose him and blow his cover.

A minute after Vritra had entered the temple, something under the grass moved and then Green pickle was revealed, crawling out from his hiding spot.

To save all seven of those pitiful women, he had once again resumed his operation to get Vritra punished for his crimes.

Of course, Vritra cannot yet sense that a higher being was following him so closely, tracking his movements.

Upon entering, Vritra found over thirty people who stood before a big stage, all gathered in the dim light of the temple.

They all wore white attires, almost looking like a cult member, rapidly chanting something in a language he didn’t recognize.

But when his gaze shifted to the stage, he was even more surprised by what he saw.

The bald monk stood on the stage, his body trembling slightly, a white cloth wrapped around his body almost like a robe.

His palms pressed together in a prayer position and a forced smile on his face, clearly strained and unnatural... poor Shitless looked as if he was fighting for his life, struggling against invisible bonds.

He wanted to run away but couldn’t move, so he just stood like a statue, frozen in place.

’Pitiful one, saveeee meeeeeee!’ internally he was screaming, his mind desperately calling for rescue, while fearfully muttering:

"A- Amitabha~"

His voice wavering with barely concealed panic.

"Let’s establish the buddha here, I will take his skin!" one of the guys suddenly spoke up, gesturing excitedly.

"That’s not fair, haa fine I will take his eyes, I heard whichever direction the eyes of buddha see, victory follows." Another man protested, wanting to claim a valuable part.

"Then his golden tongue is mine, it is said to keep away all bad luck." A third voice joined in, each cultist eager to claim a piece.

The more Shitless listened the paler he became, the blood draining from his face, yet the smile didn’t fade from his lips, had he taken over Vritra’s luck somehow?

He was just observing the place when these cultist kidnapped him and threw him into this temple, at first Shitless felt he was going to become the god of higher beings, promoted to divinity.

But his evil thoughts were soon shattered like glass.

As everyone divided his body parts with enthusiasm, arguing over who gets what, the last guy and two other guys could only sigh heavily and settle for what was left over.

"Fine, I will take his hips, making them into a seat will bring great karma and enlightenment whenever someone sit on that." One resigned fellow muttered.

"I will take his that and turn into a big business, it will boost the stamina and potency of everyone!" the final guy had even thought of a business idea, his mind already calculating profits.

STEP STEP

Just then they noticed someone entering the temple, the footsteps echoing against the stone floor, many frowned since nothing was left to share among themselves.

So they would have to cut their own gains in half, and none wanted that, preferring to keep their full portions.

But when they turned and saw who it was, they all frowned deeply, recognition and fear flashing across their faces, Vritra’s reputation had spread far and wide across the realm.

First he was a war veteran, powerful and very respected among higher beings, he had even risen to the power of the commander, a position of great authority.

Yet many years back, in a war against the Crooked, many higher beings had died in combat.

At that time, he somehow managed to survive but Evelyn, the daughter of Fader Vespera and the one leading the war, disappeared without a trace.

The joy of survival disappeared from him then, replaced by despair, he was even punished severely and so his personality became shit and he had retired from active duty.

Thankfully Evelyn had returned alive not long after, but the damage was already done to his reputation and psyche.

So, they were fearful of his prowess and his legendary temper, none daring to get close to him.

"What is happening here?" Vritra took in the expressions of all the cultists carefully and asked with dangerous calmness.

"N- Nothing, we just found a great buddha who possess great fortune and karma, s- so..." the youngest guy who only got Shitless’s secret part and planned to start the business, spoke fearfully, his voice shaking.

But stopped when the guy beside him hit his feet hard, silencing him.

"Oh, a great buddha? It will bring me great luck?" instantly a smile stretched over his face, predatory and cold.

And seeing that smile, everyone in the temple had a bad feeling, a sense of foreboding settling over them like a heavy blanket.

"Hey, great buddha, wanna come with me? I will hang you on my house’s wall so I can get the good luck." Vritra asked in a casual tone, but it wasn’t really a question, it was a command.

"Amitabha~" Shitless looked towards Vritra with relief flooding his features, hiding his immense joy behind the serene expression.

Vritra really is his saviour, coming to save the damsel in distress just before he got dissected into pieces by these maniacs.

"Benefactor, it seems I owe you karmic debt from previous lifetime, please let me repay you now by becoming your good luck charm." Shitless said as he quickly jumped off the platform with surprising agility.

But the expressions of all the higher beings became unsightly at this revelation, they all were fuming with rage and disappointment.

This Baldy was theirs, they found him first, how can they let him take it and walk away with their prize?

"V- Vritra, don’t go too far, w- we can give you his eyes or brain if you want but don’t push us into a corner!" one guy took a step back nervously and muttered in barely controlled rage.

"We will complaint to the law holders, just take a body part or two and leave." Another voice sounded, from somewhere behind the group yet none could tell who had spoken, hidden among the white robes.

Vritra rolled his eyes at their threats, it seems Divine had arranged a good identity for him, he can clearly see the fear etched in their eyes.

So he acted more domineering and aggressive, even though logically any of them could kill him with an accidental sneeze if they wanted to.

"This buddha is mine, find your own, if you got a problem with it then you are free to attack me, I dare you to fight me." Vritra said with absolute confidence, as Shitless quickly appeared beside him.

Maintaining the same serene smile despite his racing heart.

Outside the temple, green pickle grinned widely with satisfaction and anticipation.

Who would have thought?

Really! Who would have thought that he wouldn’t need to follow Vritra for months, the opportunity arose so quickly and conveniently.

Without wasting any time, he contacted the Law Holders with urgency.

...

In a distant part of the higher being realm, in a location far removed from the temple.

Inside a large office like building, various higher beings who were from the Vespera family, were busy working at their stations.

They sat and received complaints from the people, then deciding how to deal with each case meticulously.

Every now and then, they would leave the building to deal with matters personally, handling issues that required their authority.

But today something was different, a change in the atmosphere itself, since an extremely beautiful lady was standing inside the hall, her presence commanding attention.

Making the environment tense and suffocating, the pressure evident to all who worked there.

It was none other than Evelyn Vespera, who had suddenly decided to make a trip to this place without warning.

And had been here for around an hour, observing the proceedings.

Wherever someone walked out to personally go over and solve the case, she would check the case first, reviewing it herself.

But with their low status, what can they say or do in response to her scrutiny?

Just then, one of the man received a complaint from someone who made frequent complaints, becoming a regular nuisance.

"Ugh This Green turd..." grimacing at the notification, the man responded professionally: "Yes sir tur- COUGH how can I help you today?"

"Hurry up and quickly come here, there is a big robbery happening in bright day light at the Buddha temple!!" green pickle’s hurried and panicked voice sounded through the connection, breathless with excitement.

The man frowned and asked again skeptically: "This is not some stupid thing again, right?" He had heard plenty of false reports before.
