Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill

Chapter 885: The Parting...

Chapter 885: The Parting...

" No, no, you misunderstood me. We are not like those evil people. By the order of our great leader Dipper, I ask you to take the position of the 11th Commander, becoming a pillar of our organization. Of course, you would gain more than enough benefits." The man spoke earnestly, his tone shifting to something more sincere.

"..." Vritra paused, considering carefully. With his meager strength, mingling with such powerful people was too dangerous. One tiny mistake and his cover would be blown, exposing him to threats he wasn’t prepared for.

But!

Even if they planned to sacrifice him later on, they would surely provide benefits until he was fat and ready to be slaughtered. At the very least, he would gain access to resources and knowledge.

The silence remained for a minute, heavy and charged with possibility, until Vritra finally raised his head and spoke, "Benefits aside, I want to be the one to kill Evelyn. Only then will I join." His voice was cold, final, and absolute.

’Bingo!’ the man sneered internally behind his mask. This guy’s anger still made him a puppet, controllable and predictable. This was just perfect for their purposes.

’But with his strength, if he can survive the war, he will still be a pillar of the new government, so it’s not a total loss for him. At minimum, we get a strong warrior out of this.’

His expressions remained hidden under the white mask, carefully neutral, as the man patted Vritra’s shoulder with a gesture of camaraderie.

"Good decision. Take this, it will make things easier to communicate. And I will first inform them back at headquarters, then I will personally invite you to a meeting, where we welcome you as our new Commander."

After saying a few more things, exchanging pleasantries and discussing general expectations, the man turned and flew away into the night sky, disappearing into the shadows.

This meeting was successful. He was sure to get some benefits for this recruitment.

Vritra walked back into the house and closed the door carefully behind him, then looked down at the jade slip that the Commander had left. It was a beautiful piece, crafted with care.

It was supposed to be just for communication, but Vritra could tell it was also meant to observe him, track his movements, and possibly even monitor his thoughts. The surveillance was clumsy but effective.

He threw it into his spatial storage without hesitation, then took out another jade slip from a hidden pocket. It had been given to him by Evelyn.

Of course, it didn’t have that surveillance feature. Evelyn didn’t need this to look at Vritra. She had other methods, more direct and intimate ones.

’Heh, time to snitch.’

Vritra inserted his mana into the jade slip with practiced ease, which instantly connected to Evelyn, establishing a channel across the vast distance.

"My love, are you missing me already? Should I come meet you?" Her overly enthusiastic and obsessive voice came from the other side, tinged with possessiveness.

Vritra rolled his eyes at the greeting, then spoke, "I just got a special guest..."

He relayed the information methodically, leaving nothing out.

"And thus, I joined them." He ended the explanation, but for now, there was no real inside information.

Evelyn and the Vespera Family were well aware of that group’s motives.

"You shouldn’t join them. It would be too dangerous." Evelyn frowned on the other side. Rather than being pleased by the information, she prioritized his safety.

"It will be fine. I will at least survive even if they do find anything suspicious." Vritra reassured her.

Evelyn tried a bit more but knew it was impossible to change his decision, so she gave up.

Instead, she decided to create a treasure for him that could protect him.

Then the call disconnected. Vritra returned to his room, and all his wives had heard about the entire conversation.

Yet, they were more surprised by how Vritra talked to Evelyn. Weren’t they enemies before?

At least, he didn’t seem to like her all that much.

"Looks like we have nothing to do for today, so how about I help you all with some exercise?" Vritra asked, and without giving any time to his wives, a battle started in the room.

1st round, 2nd, then 3rd, and it kept on going hour after hour.

The exercise was so intense that after a few hours, one by one, all the wives were exhausted.

But being the diligent husband, Vritra didn’t allow them to slack off, and it continued on until very late into the night.

Only after 2 did they finally fall asleep.

...

Everyone in the House of Darkness was woken up by the chanting of some Buddhist prayers, along with the wailing from the surrounding Higher Beings.

Vritra and the rest weren’t affected like the others, but it was like someone snoring close to them, very unpleasant.

So, they woke up early and got ready.

By 6 in the morning, everyone had gathered in the hall.

Shitless, after the previous day’s revelation and sadness, looked fine now.

Beside him stood the Crying Monk with his towering body, holding the metallic staff and giving off a powerful vibe.

"Benefactors, are you all ready to start your training? Let me warn you, though. I can just bring you to your fortune. The rest will be in your own hands, and the most I can do is preserve your lives." The Crying Monk spoke seriously.

Vritra didn’t speak immediately. Instead, he looked at everyone in his family.

"We are ready."

One by one, they all nodded, determination burning in their eyes.

"My son, your opportunity lies back at home. Your challenges will be just as hard, though, if not more." The Crying Monk patted Shitless’s head.

"Yes, father." Shitless nodded.

There was a brief pause, then the Crying Monk looked at everyone and added, "After this, you all won’t be able to meet each other for some time."

"..." The group looked at each other. Always staying together, it felt strange to suddenly part.

Yet, this was unavoidable.

"Don’t worry. After the initial difficult part passes, you will be able to meet." At this moment, Divine appeared and spoke, not looking at his pet.

This made them relax.

Vritra suddenly remembered something. His hand extended, and in the next second, the entire house was filled with blinding light.

A small sun appeared floating over his palm. It was the 4th-ranked Mythic Halo, the Sun.

It had been kindly given to them as a gift from the gods after the court case, and he had forgotten about it.

He could use it, but it actually didn’t suit him that much. Instead, his target was the 2nd-ranked Mythic Halo, the Demonic Veyll.

Among all his wives, Yasmine was the one who was most suitable for this Mythic Halo.

And she didn’t possess any powerful weapon either, unlike Vanessa, Yennefer, Fiona, Maeve, or Diana.

Now only Teresa would be left, who would need some strong weapon.

Vanessa had that cloth, Yennefer had the Time Staff, Fiona had the Undying Mythic Halo, Maeve had the Blade of Darkness, and Diana had that blue knife and the Tomb of Gods.

"Wifey, this is for you."

The Sun floated toward Yasmine, gently landing over her hand.

Although it possessed such a high temperature, none of them felt anything.

"Thank you, hubby." Yasmine smiled. After looking at it, she put it away.

If he gave it to her, it naturally suited her more. Thankfully, there was no jealousy over such things in the family.

Shitless would get something from the Crying Monk, so Onest would be left too.

But there was no hurry.

"That’s a good thing. Anyway, after you are done with your goodbyes, follow after me."

After saying so, the Crying Monk gently tapped the metallic staff against the ground, and ten portals opened before them.

With Shitless, who waved his hand with two streaks of tears falling down his cheek, he walked into one of them.

"Stay safe. I will do my best to grow stronger." Onest smiled faintly, looking at them before walking into another portal.

Divine had already left.

Instantly, all the women looked at each other sadly and then at Vritra.

They were going to miss everyone, and especially miss Vritra. That was a long period of time.

"Honey, don’t do anything reckless and hurt yourself. I will miss you a lot." Vanessa hugged Vritra tightly before pressing her lips against his.

The kiss wasn’t like usual. Their lips remained pressed together for a bit before finally parting.

Since it was only a short goodbye, Vanessa didn’t want it to turn any sadder, so after a few minutes, she left.

Then the other wives all followed, giving parting hugs and kisses to Vritra.

Yennefer was the 2nd to hug and kiss him, even biting his lip so she could remember his taste even amidst the tough training.

Then came Fiona. The redhead left a mark on Vritra’s neck, making him laugh at her intense actions.

Patting her head, he whispered sweet nothings into her ear, and finally, she reluctantly left.

Then it was Diana. The goddess was very sad to part. They had stayed together for so long.

It reminded her of that time when Vritra died after the war, filling her with sadness.

Soon, she too entered, then Teresa kissed Vritra just as he was waving toward the goddess.

The goth girl hugged him tightly for a while, filling her body and clothes with his scent and warmth before parting.

Vritra turned and patted the pouting foxie, her tail hanging low, making her look cute and pitiful.

"Don’t be sad. We will be together very soon anyway." He said, capturing her lips and making her feel a little better.

Finally, only Yasmine was left there. Vritra walked toward her and pulled her into his arms.

"Wifey, take care of yourself and our baby. I will come to meet you as soon as possible."

"Mhmm..."
